Just when Watts Bar cycled back around to having what seemed to be a whole lot bigger fish, about 2.5 years ago maybe 3 they started spraying to control grass and there were a bunch of people out spraying from dang pontoons and not regulated and mysteriously the fish started to get sores 9n them and get real skinny. The massive schools of bait fish that you used to be able to target off shore when current was being pulled seemed to drop way off to. I love that lake and the Tennessee River and Clinch. I sure hope it comes back around to be one of the best of the TVA chain.
I live on watts bar..didn’t know you could catch catfish that easily..you ever think about doing some guided trips on watts bar for catfish..lol..lots of small bass here..good luck on the next couple of tourneys left..
Watts Bar can be tough but there are a lot of bigs in there. Just very hard to catch at times. I have caught several over 5 outta there over the years. 20lb + bag is very possible.

That Ben is the best catfish angler I’ve ever seen! I can’t catch that many cats on purpose. I must not be bass fishing right either because the accidental cat only happens about 1 per year. Not with Ben he catches a limit of cats while catching a limit of bass.

sounded like largemouth only had to be 15" and smallmouth had to be 18" to keep
