- In this video, I review the SUNWAYFOTO GH-PRO II GEARED TRIPOD HEAD. I also make some comparisons to the original tripod head I purchased which was the Manfrotto 410 Junior Geared Head.

Hi Michael! I have used this head for two years now and I am very satisfied. I have no problems with the knobs when switching between landscape and portrait because I use L-bracket. With L-bracket I also always get the lens in the center of the tripod.
Yeh, I think I might have to get an L-bracket haha. It's not that bad but it can be kind of annoying when shooting astro in the dark and having to move everything around to change from vertical to landscape, etc.
for your information the head QR is called a 200PL plate.
On the sunwayfoto head or the manfrotto head?
@@MichaelRoninTV sorry, Yes, I did mean on the Manfrotto head, mostly that is the geared head model of qr, the small camera one is the RC-2, the 200PL is for MF cameras, and the hex plate system is for big film cameras (MF and LF) as used on the 029 head {plain 3-way head}.
Just a thought. Having two moves for panning. You can position the head, to be able to use your strong hand. Won't have reach " around"...?
Yep, you could definitely do that :)
Hi Michael. We've had a few of these heads for about a year now and they have all developed a lot of play/wobble within some of the axis. Do you know how to tighten this by any chance?
I have no idea, sorry. I've never tried to take one apart haha
Same for me, still don't know how to tighten :(
Contact the company direct. They repaired mine and the customer service was excellent.
