oh my gosh this is so good! I already loved badinere as a piece but i love this way more it has a jazzy feel with the chords in the left plus the improvised part. Im probably going to buy the sheet music as well!

I love your Stride version of the Badinerie so much, I listen to it almost daily. One thing that would interest me is, when you played it, was that your actual improvisation on the spot, after which you fashioned the sheet music. Or did you compose the sheet music (maybe after some improvisation), wrote it down, and THEN played according to it?
The inclusion of the "Hotel California" theme somewhere in the stride version is nothing short of genius....I think Bach himself would have taken his hat off to you for how skillfully you slipped that in.

Здравствуйте я далек от музыки, как называется такой стиль игры левой руки когда прыгаете так много клавиш? Мне очень понравилась левая часть, переслушал наверно уже раз 15, у вас на канале есть похожие произведения, где вы так же примерно играете левую руку, в таком же ритме?)
The left hand's style is called "Stride". You can find many exemples on my channel 😉
@@victordemange6145 Thank you for reply. I've already listened like 100 times your stride version of this music, it's so incredible. I just set the video on replay and can hear it for an hour. Also, tried to play it on my digital piano, i have no musical education and I am an amateur, it's very hard for me to play left hand even in very slow mode. Can't imagine how are you playing it so fast :D
My favourite part is from 1:01 to 1:09, I don't know why, there is something brilliant in left hand on this timecodes. Very brilliant.
Rythmiquement, il y a quelque chose qui cloche dans la 1ère partie, (quand la mélodie est jouée de façon "classique" ). C'est beaucoup mieux ensuite, lorsque la mélodie est traitée de façon " jazzy " . C'est, du moins, mon impression... Bravo pour la partie jazzy !
Intéressant, mais je ne vois pas ce qui cloche rythmiquement dans la partie classique. Je n’ai pas beaucoup de connaissances théoriques en musique, mais il me semble que cette mélodie se prête plutôt bien au stride. Peut-être pourriez-vous élaborer un peu plus là-dessus?

Je m'explique : l'original de J.S. Bach est à 2 temps, avec des appuis sur les 1ers temps . Or, dans cette version, à la main gauche qui fait la " pompe ", il y a, non seulement un appui sur le 1er temps, ( basses ), mais aussi un accent sur le 2ième temps, ( contretemps fait avec les aigus de la main gauche...) . On a donc un appui sur le 1er temps, plus un accent sur le 2ième, ( en contretemps ), ce qui dénature et alourdit la dynamique de la mélodie originale . Il aurait fallu, à mon goût, alléger les aigus de la main gauche pour ne plus avoir cette double accentuation sur tous les temps... Dans la deuxième partie du morceau, cet inconvénient n'existe plus car le rythme du thème de J.S. Bach est différent de l'original...
Pas gênant du tout, c'est une recomposition, pas une adaptation d'un morceau de Bach...

Vous devriez réécouter d'autres pianistes qui ont improvisé à partir des oeuvres de Bach, ( Jacques Loussier, Edouard Ferlet, Keith Jarrett , Brad Mehldau , Gabriela Montero, Dan Tepfer, Serge Delaite, etc ... ) .
