The NF of Serbia is becoming one of the strongest NF there is and a country to be reckoned with in the future.
Serbia can be very proud of what they show and their music culture. It is an example for many other countries.
This is how you want to present your country to the rest of Europe.
Depends of the tonight show if it will be my number 1 NF this year or it will be Finland.

In fact this is the first time that I have Serbia as number one outside of Junior Eurovision so I am the happiest and proudest with our choice as I've ever been, I was so invested last night I went through many emotions. Where are you from?

I absolutely LOVE Filip's song. I'll be really happy if he wins tonight. I see people in general loves Luke's song, and I tried to listen to it quite a few times, but I don't feel like connecting with the song. When it starts it's like "hm... sounds interesting", but then that feeling is gone.
So many good songs - PZE can proudly stand next to other great national selections (Finland, Portugal, Spain).
I agree with you - I would like to see PZE held in the arena next year.

Serbian trending and live performances views shouting just one name - Luke Black. Other choices wouldn’t be optimal one

From 2002 to 2009, the festival was always organized in the Sava Center, but from that year we started to choose a representative internally, so we returned to the festival, but in a studio version. One interesting thing. The best ever festival was in 2006, there were so many good songs then. If that choice was made today, it would conquer the Internet. Unfortunately, politics spilled over into the voting of the jury, so in the end no one even went to the esc. If you happen to have time, listen to that festival Flamingos_ crazy summer dance Ana Nikolic_ Romale Romali Ivana Jordan _ Lazarica And there were at least ten super good tracks and a bunch of big and serious stars who performed then. And now I'm sad that Flamingos or Ana Nikolic didn't go to esc, I don't know if Lordi would have won then.
Princ song is about forbiden love between serbian boy Stojan and turkish girl Ajša which is old legend from city of Vranje where he comes from. Hes dress represent serbian dresing 300 years ago and dancers represent turkish dressing from same period. That is the story and explanation of things which you are not sure about. I am between Luke Black and Princ. I think Princ is better song but Luke Black have more chances to be in top 10 in the final.

You know what, I didn't even realize your Top 2 songs were even in this competition! I haven't been really following the competition closely, but I did know about Zejna, Luke Black and Hurricane. Even today, I had errands to run, so when I got home, I tried to watch all the performances, but I skipped a lot of them. I'll go back and watch the Chegi and Princ performances again and listen to the studio cuts since you're so passionate about it!. Keep up the good work, Shane.

I am a fan of #3 and #4 but broadly agree with you in that I'd be fine with pretty much any of these top 8 choices.
I also agree that this should be done with audience, Serbia should have a Sanremo-like event to generate even more interest and quality. And probably money to support the artists.

Shane as a spanish speaking person I can tell you, we have heard those sounds over and over across the late 90' and 00'. You should check David Civera, David Bustamante and David Bisbal early songs;)

I respect your opinion Shane but if Chegi somehow wins tonight i'm giving up my serbian nationality until next year 😂. I've been rooting for Filip and streaming his song since it got release and i'm really happy he's finally getting the recognition he deserves. However tonight i'll vote for Luke, he's got the biggest potential and has to win imo.
I think you missunderstood my comment about Zejna. Some people are absolute idiots and are trying to promote their favs by disparaging the competition. Zejna for being part of the rom community, Luke for being satanist/promoting a cult, Filip for being gay, etc. I do not deny it and absolutely condemn it. But those people are a minority, especially in the ESC fandom, we are not like that. Most of the people were actually talking about her etnicity as an answer to the idea that Rumba was 100% spanish influenced, witch is not true.
The main issue was the way it was said during the stream. It implied that thinking that Rumba was outdated was disrespectful toward the culture, that's totally false.
Please don't change your nationality haha!!!! I am fully aware it is never winning!!!! Haha 💖

I like Luke's entry, but the live performance confused me a little. The whole thing lacks in something, I don't know exactly what it is. I have a feeling that juries will not like the song as much. We'll see. My favourite is Filip. It's not a groundbreaking song but as you said, the live performance elevated the song to an other level. The production is so good, the lights are superior and he has charisma on stage. Let's see! I would be so happy see him winning, but I like Luke, Princ and Zejna too. It's not a clear winner at all, I'm curious to see how the voting is going to be.
