The LOCKDOWN MINNOW - A LETHAL Streamer for Smallmouth Bass

This is an easy fly that we have aptly named The LOCKDOWN MINNOW. It has “saved the day” for us more than a few times. Materials: nomadanglers.com/blogs/fly-ty...
Even though it’s pretty simple in design, it still offers the same triggers as more complex flies, i.e. Movement on the pause, side to side action, and a neutral buoyancy that drive bass wild. When you watch this thing fluttering over submerged boulders in the afternoon sun, and see fish come out and wreck it, you’ll understand! A very fun and effective template.

This is an amazing platform guys! Thank you for sharing…the 25mm shank and b10s pair super well weight wise and have great balance right out of the gate! I started tying this as a “feather changer” with the same head and added a keel for the extra top weight. I get such awesome side to side kick and the fly stays nice and level now.
