Assalamu aleykum, budgeting can be fun. Also it gives you more freedom and peace of mind at the end. It's important to know where your money is going. And ideally, BEFORE it goes anywhere 😅
I personally do some retro-budgeting where I look at my expenses of last 6-9 months to have an idea of what my budget should be in the future. I try more or less to stick to it without becoming stingy
Oh one more thing, DON'T subscribe to anything on a 7 day trial and forget to cancel your subscription if you can't afford it 😭 I lost a lot of my savings by subscribing to multiple sites and forgetting which ones I have to unsubscribe from. I remembered which ones when I saw the money deducted from my account.😭
When it comes to "getting yourself onto the housing ladder" this requires detailed reflection. This approach seems to lock Muslims into a ruined financial system for most of their lives. Other options, overseas for instance, need to be seriously considered. In terms of affordability, investment and deen.

Assalamu alaikum Ibrahim, How do you manage to spend only £250 a month on groceries for two people ? Groceries is a big expense for most people. Please share your tips.
I spend around 300 with 2 young kids; use lidl & sainsbury strategically, being flexible and always trying to buy the offers, try to minimise junk/nice to haves, use gift vouchers where i get 5% cashback. That doesn't include my lunch though.

I love budgeting specifically cash stuffing 😁it works for me and makes budgeting a lot less boring. I agree it does depend on your mindset though.
