It's physically in north America geography-wise, so is Central America and the Caribbean islands, but they're more politically similar to much of South America than North America, so geographically yes, and so are 20 other countries (excluding Greenland,) but geopolitically it's in the realm of Latin America. Greenland also technically lies on the North American plate, but it's a territory of Denmark, and is thus part of geopolitical Europe.

The problem is if you count North America as the United States, Mexico, and Canada, then where does central america fit in? Almost no one counts Central America as its own continent, and it doesn’t make sense to call it part of South America, so you would have to include all 23 countries above the Panama canal (which is what truly defines North and South America as continents) as North America. If you don’t want North America to include all that stuff, the only logical choice is to separate them into North and Latin, with north only being the US and Canada because theyre the only two with similar cultures. The point is, theres no situation in which it makes the most sense for North America to have 3 countries. It’s 2 or 23. Take your pick.

Whether we know it or not, that’s actually where our world is heading right now. The internet allows us to communicate with family and friends in other countries with light speed, English is becoming the “international” language (I know this from teaching English in China), and Western pop culture is becoming more globally recognized and appreciated. Not to mention the same is true for Japanese Anime and other foreign pop culture media. As our science and technology develops and people begin to realize the benefits of cooperation we will finally make through the tough transition between being a Type 0 civilization to being a Type 1 civilization.

Existing countries and unions (Such as the EU) would probably still manage a lot of their local affairs. The central government would focus on exploration, defense, and keeping trade fair between the states.

As well, Brazil is part of Latin America but not of Hispanic America. The terms are not equivalent. Is like saying Latin America and South America are the same thing.
It would have been better if he had included Mexico and the rest of Central America as part of North America, which it technically is, however, the term Latin America to describe it is still accurate.

The problem is if you count North America as the United States, Mexico, and Canada, then where does central america fit in? Almost no one counts Central America as its own continent, and it doesn’t make sense to call it part of South America, so you would have to include all 23 countries above the Panama canal (which is what truly defines North and South America as continents) as North America. If you don’t want North America to include all that stuff, the only logical choice is to separate them into North and Latin, with north only being the US and Canada because theyre the only two with similar cultures. The point is, theres no situation in which it makes the most sense for North America to have 3 countries. It’s 2 or 23. Take your pick.

One country doesn’t mean we would all be at peace with each other. Countries today are divided even with being unified as a country. Skin color would still be a issue along with religion.
There are so many problems with this video i don't know where to start. I guess first of all its fundamentally wrong to suggest that borders cause people to do bad things. People do bad things because they're bad people. There have been plenty of civil wars in human history. There are probably 20 going on right now. Seems like every African country is in perpetual civil war.
Too many inaccuracies to point out in one comment, but my main problem with the video is that if it were to happen, most likely all countries would just become regions or districts of the 'one world country', with each its own local government and everyone would keep their differences.
