- Former Georgia special prosecutor Nathan Wade shares how his divorce proceedings became intertwined with the Donald Trump election interference case. Wade was forced by a judge to resign from Trump's election interference case so that DA Fani Willis could continue to prosecute Trump, after their relationship was exposed.

I don't understand how more people don't realize that certain work places have rules against office relationships. I worked for two state offices and we were absolutely not allowed for our significant other to be a supervisor in any way. I would imagine ad a DA there are rules.
Also, Fani Willis did some shady things with Grant money received. Not related to Trumo case...but still fraud. She also totally over paid Wade and then those two went on vacations paid by tax payer money. And the biggest problem is...He is lying right now about when they became romantically involved. The judge, Scott McAfee, had erred in his ruling. There was nothing at law to rule on.
When Nathan Wade and Fani Willis started/had a relationship is irrelevant and not anyones business! So get over it!

There was specific verbage in his ruling related to precedent in previous cases to remove prosecutors due to the "appearance" of impropriety.
The competent experienced judges in 3 of the 4 Trump cases are doing what they need to do to make the cases safe from appeal. It will blowup in the end because in 2025, there will be much less substance in the inevitable appeals. Remember that outrage is the tool to get people to make mistakes or choices based on emotion rather than the law.

There was no conflict, there was not even an appearance of a conflict…there simply was not conflict of interest and the Willis/Wade relationship was not a conflict, they didn’t steal money or do anything wrong with money (Wade was UNDER-paid and they made it appear he was privileged, despite the fact he wasn’t the first person asked to do the job).
In no circumstance should the clown show have been allowed to continue. However, I think it does the Judge well to have under his belt that he gave the clowns an opportunity to prove their points and they failed on their own, not because of any impropriety. So, any appeal or complaints later are covered via the fact he “allowed” it.

As a retired lawyer, I respect Wade's statement about being proud to be an attorney, and taking the ethical obligations seriously. If only that was more seriously heartfelt across the board!
It gets harder to respect professions (lawyers, police, judges) when there is so much blatant corruption that isn’t being addressed by the ethical people in that profession.
As a MH professional, I hear heartbreaking stories from people who experience corrupt behavior by those in power and hear the other side where people in these professions have to leave because they can’t fight from within the system.

We knew this was a can of worms but what Nathan Wade and Fanni Willis have experienced is utterly shameful. And all in the name of protecting one man for his own ends. The USA is losing out on so much talent and ability because of the actions of this man.

How were their funds misappropriated? They were paid their salaries for work they did, how they spent that earned money is irrelevant to the county.

Once the money is earned by an individual for work done, it is no longer the employers money and they can spend it as they wish. The financial breakdown of spending in a relationship is a personal matter. Goodness it is 2023-24
