Just followed your video exactly following engine quitting when increasing power or using higher RPMs. Filter was completely blocked. Completely dis-assembled fuel pickup assembly and filter as per video, cleaned and replaced. Issue completely resolved - thanks !
Excellent video, tremendous help. That was my problem with my 2006. Crdi sorento and yes strainer in sender unit was full of crap!! Sorted now and running great, thanks again😁
My 55 plate Sorento has been stalling randomly for the last year, copied your vid then took the car for a blast on the motorway it has never driven so good and not cutting out amazing...thanks for the video..
Thanks for video. Had cutting out problems on my 55 plate crdi. The fuel strainer was blocked. However, it didn't solve the sudden cutting out. Took it to Colfuel, Colchester on appointment. Standard diagnostic fee ( £70? at the time I think ). They found one of the 'common rail' valves was faulty and changed it. Total cost about £375, inc diagnoses, not missed a beat since. About 18 months & 7000 miles.
I have a kia sorento 2005 model since the odo meter about 60k km thats the last time i replace the fuel filter then yesterday i got a bad happen to my engine during i was driving the ckecked engine appers at the panel then suddenly the engine was shut off, a few menutes then i start again and go to shop emediatly whaen the technician checked my fuel filter clogged and broken fuel pump and cost alot to me. After a day when i saw this vedeo i suddenly check my fuel tank then i surprise wow alot of dirt and the strainer cant breath anymore now my sorento works more than a horse. Thanks to this video.....from arj....
I had this problem for the first time 3 years ago. After that it was like a constant fear driving with me😂 I gonna clean this filter now every year since it is so easy to do. In about 20min its back in place.
Great video. I have a Kia Sorento 3.5 litre Petrol 2004 and when in petrol mode (The car is LPG converted) there is loss of power especially when the engine is under strain like climbing a steep incline and also when pulling away from a standing start like at lights on a hill. I suspect its the fuel filter clogged. Without this excellent video I would have struggled to know how to approach and tackle this problem. thanks
due to the paint coming off the inside of tank common up to 2007 and no need to disconnect battery as diesel fuel will not ignite with a spark but good vid
HELP ! I have a 2006 kia sorento that sometimes doesnt crank after running. If it sits over night it cranks right up. Has anyone had this issue before ? I dont want to waste more time that i already have any help would be nice

Thanx a lot ... Should I be worried that the car wont start afterwards ldue to air getting in the fuel system after I clean the sender pump ?
engine revs no more than 3,000 rpm. no errors. could this strainer be the cause? TY, greetings!
Is this anything to do with the common Tank Delamination issue? This would also be where you would diagnose that too right?

Hi there did you made any changes on the electrical side after doing these like reset the computer system?
If you get InTouch with Kia and can provide evidence that this is the cause then they will change tank for free.a common fault fuel tank delamination.
