I stupidly decided to sort my ink swatches by color rather than manufacturer- I had a terrible time trying to classify Vert de Gris. I think it means green gray but it seems to have a lot of blue in it as well. Great video!

When you compared the similar colors, I think you can see both the green and the gray.

Hi Grant -- as someone who has hundreds of ink tiles that I keep "organized" for comparison -- I can honestly say, I understand the color classification problem well!!!! I have this issue with nearly every major color group. Browns and oranges overlap a bit too as do pinks, majentas and maroons ... it's actually where I file them together but always end up sorting thru several colors to find all the comparibles ... difficult to explain but I think you can imagine!!! It's easier with colors where there are not as many like Black to Grey and Yellow to Gold. I still can't deal with sorting by manufacturer since I deal with so many different samples and colors. LOL

Thanks for sharing about those notebooks. It’s nice to know what paper/ink combos you can count on

Hi Grannabo003 -- I really like the CVS Caliber paper and it's so nice to know that I can now have everyday paper/notebooks for my fountain pens in an affordable $ range that will hold the ink well.

Yep, gotta get some of that ink. I love gray inks and inks shaded with gray!

Love all the gray green inks; this one really does have a nice intensity. While actually writing with the ink is ideal, the way you present inks allows me to pare my wish list to something manageable - as always thanks for another great video!

Hi Sue -- it's always hard to pare my wish list down LOL. Right at this point it's easy because I'm diligently working to re-organzie my samples since the influx of many new samples. :)

Hi Chris, i agree the Vert de Gris is a great colour and something i am looking for that falls in the blue- green, blue-black category. Also Chris it is amazing how much your knowledge grown over the past few years and love your tips, tricks and ideas they are taken on board and very welcomed. I noticed when looking at your swatch chart how close the Vert de Gris is in colour to Waterman's Mysterious Blue but the Vert is a tad darker. By the way i was looking at getting a bottle of Diamine Damson which is i nice dark blackish purple and thought it might it might be of interest to you.So Chris thank you as always and keep entertaining us with your outstanding video and God Bless to you all!!!!

Thank you Wayne! Oh Waterman's Mysterious Blue sounds really interesting! As does Diamine Damson!!! I always amazes me how many different inks there are! There's no way we could ever get bored. :)
