I’m getting ready to run this campaign with my group. Craig - the way you tied all the events together is masterful. So much so that I’m going to steal several of your ideas. You’re a great DM.
Layson is just such a likable character! It’s refreshing to see a Bard played as a family man rather than a hedonist scoundrel. (I say this as a person who first played a Bard joke character, 50 Copper the Drow Bard wearing assless leather chaps and an electric lute)

While I do enjoy the subterfuge of going in using Invisibility, the spell would have ended whenever they would cast another spell. Houserules are great, but removing that important bit from the Invisibility spell makes Greater Invisibility obsolete, and the simple Invisibility spell overpowered. Regardless, I've enjoyed watching you all in action. Great chemistry and generally top-notch content.
@craig I’m at 56:05 and I realized you can now have Victor discover the magic mirror in his mother’s dress room. It’d be interesting since he’s an evil NPC that his mother will find him laying lifeless on the floor of her dress room (after trying to summon an assassin but instead getting strangled to death) and once she informs the baron perhaps he suspects the characters, after all he was fine until the characters talked to him.

In previous versions of dnd, non-offensive spells could be cast while invisible, like healing & buffs, and not break it. Think they assumed that carried over. Used to be nice playing a purely non-offensive support character and enjoy this.
Unfortunately for a lot of people he is identifiable as someone they will dislike. It just has to do with the sound of his voice coming off as stuck up, which unfortunately couples with characters he often plays, rather than any fault of his own. Everyone does something people think is "inappropriate play" when reality is there are no actual rules against such or for them. Which means we are just socially berating, which can be rather arrogant as well and unrealistic judgement on what is Good and Natural Roleplay.
