I think the reason for dents and bends in cards is because they only care about print runs and metrics to get them printed to sale!!!

People that pack the cards drop and machines mess up the cards. Bowman is the worst, chrome 2010 and 2011 they were warped .

The problem in your logic is that I get all my cases through a card shop in Los Angeles. I do not buy directly from topps or panini.
