And him putting Islam as fighter of the year over Sean Strickland is wild. Sean was bout to get cut from the ufc to becoming champ. But nah let’s give it to the lightweight who could just as easily be a threat in the welterweight division who fought a featherweight twice in one year. That makes sense.

Fiziev v Gaethje was AMAZING holy shit. Was rooting for Fiziev but not upset at the result. Dan Hooker vs Jalin Turner was the most fun I've had watching a fight.

Great channel, great video, really mediocre year of MMA to be honest. Least exciting in a while. Those fights of the years shouldn't have been on the list in a decent year, only Pantoja vs Moreno should've been, and even that one I don't know if people are talking about it in 5 years.

Tony is my favorite fighter since he was so unorthodox and was at the top of his game when i started watching the sport in 2017. It really does hurt, he was played and used, but that LW run can never be taken away. Go into retirement legend, you deserve it

I still fully believe that Usman is one of the most under appreciated champions in recent MMA history. Dominant for a while, fought the big names that came after him, drastically improved striking during his reign.
Usman was never underrated especially during his reign. He was always the betting favorite and noone gave a shot to Edwards. He was dominant and everyone knew that. He was hated for his foot stomps/style but once he started starching dudes he was liked. He was hated, disliked but never underrated or disrespected

the zombie segment made me cry a bit, the best part about that fight was his exit, hearing the fans send him of in arguably the best retirement of all time, next to lawler and Hermann. kinda sad you didnt speak about that part it was better than the fight itself, I still hear that zombie song randomly every week after that
I'd argue Fizev arguably had the worst year from a notable fighter standpoint. Coming off two losses and got injured in the Gamrot fight. He did have a banger against Gathje but he seemed to get figured out by the middle of the 2nd round and his gas tank just ain't there.
Dariush also had a pretty disappointing year, he looked outclassed against Charles and got flatlined by Tsarkuryan and has only had 5:14 of cage time.
Wait Strickland didn’t win “Greatest on the Mic” or even runner up? Bro became a star because of his pressers and interviews.
i think aspinall vs pavlovich would have been a good addition to the best knock outs.
