@@ashtons8626I’m so glad someone else agrees with me on this. I don’t have enough money to keep buying products over and over so to put it on the back of my hand(unless I’m swatching)bothers me a little. I just put a very very tiny dot and build up if I need too. Plus I prefer a bold look any 🤷♀️😅
I need to try this method then. I’ve just been applying it straight on. And I use the RB one in shade “encourage”. It turns out ok but not like how everyone else I’ve seen do it.
the way e.l.f. has been inhaling my money recently 😂 and this gave me more reason to switch over! i’ve been looking for blushes that are vegan and aren’t juvia’s place or rare beauty and this review has me so excited!!
@@offplanet740my guess is that juvia's place and rare beauty both are wayy too pigmented for them? for me personally, it's too bright on my skin even though i'm a brown girly, elf cosmetics are just natural enough so it looks like "flushed from within" yknow.

I honestly wouldn't mind a smaller bottle, I feel like there are some beauty products I never finish even after years of use (I know they have expiration dates but it seems so wasteful)
Same here!! I got the Juvia's Place blushes and was shocked at how big they are. It would be cool if modern packaging to into account how much of a product people actually use on the face so that we're not stuck with items we'll never make a dent in.
@@kellygreengables3936 unfortunately we have seen how that goes when companies actually shrink a product. we saw this with milk. due to popularity and high demand, it allowed them to keep the original price per item (thus increasing the price per gram) while selling less product. If anything they actually increased the price straight up (per item) thus just making it unnecessarily expensive for the same original formula at a smaller size. Due to the nature of capitalism being built on greed and profit, if we actually demanded for this trend to be followed by other companies make-up will become too expensive and inaccessible. and demand for fakes and products with dubious ingredients will increase. which is dangerous.
it's so cool to me that the same shade of the juvias place blush looks good on your skin tone and mine. I use that shade like every day, and I'm so pale that usually my foundation shade is the lightest option available. the versatility is amazing.
YES, so glad I came across this suggestion bc applying directly to the face wasn’t working for me. Now I just gotta remember to THOROUGHLY wash my hands lol
I adore cc foundations because I have redness and it’s the only type of foundation that helps counteract it without needing to use a green colour corrector. My fav is bourjois cc foundation
Juvia's Place is the first liquid blush I ever used that made me wish it were less pigmented. It's literally hard to put on a small enough amount. Lol They do blend out beautifully and give great bang for your buck! Elf does a great job generally, too! The liquid blushes are dewier than I prefer, but they're gorgeous and very pigmented.
Girl get into juvias place im a mua and I’ve been using them for years now it’s honestly some of the best makeup for black girls because it’s a brand created specially for black and brown women. And the color pay off is amazing you don’t have to use a lot of shadow for it to appear on darker tones if you’ve never taken advice from a stranger please allow me to be the first cuz you won’t regret it.
Juvia’s Place is amazing if you have brown or deeper / richer skin tones. The formulas are great. The eyeshadow primer is one of the best I have used. The only thing that I don’t like about them, and that is specific to me, is that the lip gloss and some lip products have fragrance. Any fragrance triggers migraine for me.
I love watching blush content, especially yours cuz you look AMAZING! Even though I detest how it looks on me, tried a very soft (undertone-matched) natural looking blush once and still felt self conscious lmao. More of a "slap on the foundation and lippie and run and let my high bp, sebaceous glands and the tropical sun take care of my blush highlighter and bronzer needs" girlie. It works mostly
Juvias place is a brand made specifically for women of color. ❤Everything from juvias place is brown girl approved and sweet berries is my next purchase 😂 I can’t wait for it to come either. But juvias place is amazing I’ve been using them for years and it’s honestly the best makeup I’ve bought and I love I don’t have to use a lot of product for color to show. ❤
Monica so glad you showed us these and if you could be so kind to show us your ring up close and what inspired its design. Its great to get ideas. Thank You🥰🤩.
Can you please compare the Juvias place I am magic natural radiance foundation with the Estee LaudedFuturist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation! I feel it can be a useful dupe product. 😊
Elf just always been my go to ever since I first found them in target years ago and were so so cheap! I remember when their products went up in price but now I appreciate them because I realize the difference in quality too. Although I’ve always been a broke b so I can make cheap work and look good lol
When I saw the elf blushes, I immediately thought of Juvia's Place. I didn't think of Rare Beauty at all. I almost bought one of the Juvia's Place blushes when Ulta had them on sale but decided to wait for my Elf purchase to arrive. I was also able to buy the elf blushes for 25% off at launch. Not sure why.
These are super pigmented that being said the light peach one was too light to show up much and these shades still work on my skin tone (nc10) just with a light hand and very blended out. So these are awesome and really versatile in case anyone was wondering about that.
But if you want your blush your contour your base to last longer put foundation spray setting spray the concealer and set it to then put your blush your contour if there cream on the back of your hand spray it then apply if it’s powder then spray the brush get product then spray again and when your done lastly don’t forget setting spray
I’ve heard that chemical peels can actually cause purging so that could be whats happening? its the reason im scared of getting one for my dark spots 😢
It depends on the type. Its possible, but talk to a derm that has experience with pigmentation for a consultation to see which type would work for you.

I love doing a china doll look. I take my blush up to my eyes and down to my mouth. I have a very sharp strong jawline and cheekbones so I use blush to make my face look round and plump like a doll. Everyone wants a strong contour, I want to get rid of mine and I was born with it 😂😂😂😂😂 i get jealous of round plump faces like a doll
Omg i thought of you saying g this this morning when I did my makeup. I was like cool, we gonna do it with the foundation first - side note -my sponge picked up all the makeup and omg it was so thick. That was an operator error fail. It worked really good with the blush tho!!!
I always see people going in with liquid/ cream blusher straight to the face & it makes me cringe! They're usually extremely pigmented , blush is usually one of the final steps for me & you don't wanna ruin all your work or spend ages blending it out
As a white woman I want to try these, this girl is Cute but not really brown she’s almost my complexion, when someone says brown skin I think of chocolate skin. Like an actual brown person. I’m this girl’s color in the summer months 😂
I know the halo glows not see throw friendly 😂 i was born with see throw skin (that’s not a joke) so i wear make up to make my skin look one color. Halo glows number 1 is a little too dark lol but i still use it 😅
100% agree, starting with blush on back of hand -> brush -> face is an elite method

That’s the main reason a lot of high end products are more expensive than drug store. More product and better packaging.

Does it have shimmer ??? Or is it matte ???

Monica, could you make a video ranking all of the new liquid blushes from elf? Keep up the great work!
Finally someone comparing them to the Juvia's Place blushes
cant wait to try the e.l.f blushes !!
The new lip set from sephora favorites seems to be Brown girl friendly !!❤
Monica you are one of my faves! Not even a brown girly but I love your brown girl friendly and color theory content xoxo
Girl I’ve been waiting for you to react to the elf blush! I trust your opinion ❤
I really appreciate the similar price point comparison!
Nah people who apply blush straight on their face honestly still look good
guysss elf is still cheaper if u were to get 2 than one juvias place! js an fyi ❤️❤️
Hey I requested this video on TikTok lol!
Elf should make you their brand ambassador ❤❤
Elf always serves
Omg thank you for the back of the hand tip 😅 been messing this up for weeks!!
okay i’m glad you pointed out that the elf ones are matte, bc i didn’t like the juvia’s place one bc it was so dewy.
