Putting the bend in the tension bar is for your finger's comfort when pressing on it, instead of pressing on the metals edge. The pick you made is a "diamond" pick, as opposed to the usual multi groove "rakes". I like the way you made your handles!
@@cosmonaut379 if u had any fucking idea what a medium security lock was, then you wouldn't have said that. A fucking baby can open that lock with a toothpick.
Made a pick the other day and I used a 6mm copper brake line that I hammered flat and it became a very good handle the pick ain't going nowhere rock solid construction.
just found your video, great job, I loved it.......your picks are just as good or better than the cheap picks coming out of China and available on Amazon.....
They make clear shrink tube as well so you can show off the gorgeous, unappreciated popsicle wood grain! But seriously, they're not the best but I love making and modding and have respect for everyone else that does too.
Same here, but apparently one of the better materials is windshield wiper metal too. I'm getting some professionally made lock picks for cheap, but I would probably go make my own.
BrianTheMagicGuy use the stainless steel piece sandwiched between the rubber in a windshield wiper blade. I collect them from the dumpster at mechanics places because they come in many different sizes summer thicker summer wider and yeah that's what you want you don't want the real thin narrow ones.
You know how those type of drawrs that has locks on it and has a skinny opening to see what holds back the drawr from opening when it's locked yea, if you know what your doing use that sheer force brother and then fixed it up like it never happened. (To be clear it was my drawr,my dumb ass lost both keys to unlock that shit that came with it....
Lock picking really saved my life I was outside my house and my parents are not in home and I forgot my keys and closed the door hopefully I was having a sesor and and a little iron baget I've made it the last month and I was able to unlock the door itcost me only 2min
"medium security lock", grabs a master #3
Master locks are all low security their junk
Master locks are a noobs best friend lol
I've been picking for a month I can open.6 no 3 in less than two min..
Drop it on the floor
Masterlocks are some of the easiest locks to pick, most beginners start off with them.
I KNEW it was a good idea to have a kitchen drawer full of old popsicle sticks!
Very instructive, easy to follow. Added to my playlists.
a little table clamp vise would make life so much easier.

OMG, that blade so close to those veins... I've made a couple of picks myself but never made the handle, thanks for the tip
Pulling a utility knife toward your WRIST is a majorly ill-advised technique.
Not if you know what you're doing
@@Blackslag20 even if you know what your doing
@@Blackslag20thats what they all say. Its called a accident for a reason this one might just kill you in the prosess.
Dude, you made that look so easy. I've gotten decent at Hook and diamond picks but I just can't get the hang of making rakes.
Medium security lock where? All I seen was a low security Master lock.
ki2azyone my thoughts exactly. Can bang a hammer on the side of these and they open 😂
that's a pretty standard medium security lock, they're used everywhere

@Justin Jehoshaphat yeah tbh idk why I said that or why I was so aggressive, but I can pick trainer locks and much more than that.
@Justin Jehoshaphat thank you and I hope your Friday was great lol

Wow.
It's good to make mini sculpting tool either
"For the picks, I'm using some bristles from a streetsweeper I found." No one was looking for their streetsweeper?
Finders keepers.
this is a great recycling tip for waste metals
Where can I find these? We don't have many street sweepers in my area.

those tools work on anything that has security pins and tight keyways?
What kind of torch is that?
What material?
Good video, brother
SO COOL! Thanks for this epic video dude. I reshared on the lock picking forum.
Street cleaner brushes? Someone has been reading a very old book. I think I read that one from Paladin Press about 35 years ago.
Those street cleaners are very much in use in shopping strip parking lots.
Added to my playlist. 😉
Thanks ! 🤗
Me too!!! me too!!!😁
Pretty Awesome. Too bad there aren't street sweepers around where I live lol

Yea, I thought that they'd be just the thing. Not universally available
Sir, I want to talk to you about an important topic on WhatsApp in order to send you a specific model for the industry

Forget about the hot glue gun always cut away from yourself with a Stanley. Especially towards the wrist 🙈 otherwise thanks for the video
Right...keeps things legal....lol
Very cheesy! Those picks could slide out of the wood even with that design!

If you've seen the lockpickinglawyer, you know that this guys technique is rubbish.
Jiggle it around until it opens? Damn.
Eric Currier well that’s basically the technique used with a snake rake.
