Context Is important with this type of humour, it's as much about the build up as the punch line. Theirs plenty of sarcasm in the show, which is fairly common over this direction. Decent show, a full show may be better. Moone boy and young offenders are two other irish comedy shows you might like to check out at some point👍
@@CanadianReacts ooh haven't gotten around to seeing them yet. Martin Cloones is usually good. He's usually a bit goofy on tv and in real life, apart from doc martin. Nice fella from what i hear.
It is a hilarious show. We just got finished watching it and now I am started rewatching because to be honest their accents are kind of thick and some of the slang is hard to pick up the first time, since I am in the U.S. and not Northern Ireland. Of course, I went to a Catholic school from grades one through eight so I can relate to it from that standpoint as well.
I am 68 in London and this is one of the most subtle and greatest comedies I have seen since my first one in 1961:)
I’m glad I didn’t seem too stupid to catch everything
You did well,my friend though you did commit the cardinal sin of not pausing while making a comment thus missing the next funny line:)
@@Isleofskye LoL I’m trying

We’ve been watching “Warren” with Martin Cloones & “outlaws” with Stephen Merchant lately, those are good too

I’d have to order the DVD. I don’t have Netflix.
Love this
Thanks Sarra
I’ve got another one too, Difference between Catholic & Protestant
@@CanadianReacts going to watch that now
Should do a reaction to a full episode if u can get it past TH-cam
I think I tried before & even tried a UK channel website but they were blocked
This show is on Canadian netflix btw
@@dylankennedy4539 that figures, I don’t have Netflix, lol
None of this works without context. It's like joining a friend group but not knowing all the in-jokes of the group.
Perfect analogy. Thanks Connor
