Thank you so much for this rundown! I thought I’d gone crazy over the crafting bench update. The night before I had just gotten all materials for the epic bench, but went to bed before processing my obsidian. When I checked in the next day, at first I thought my husband had done the upgrade already, since some epic tools appeared. But then, I noticed the bench looked the same… I tried breaking it and rebuilding it but then couldn’t change the appearance past the first version. Tried logging off, restarting my console, using a different console… what timing lol.
Hey Kaz, just thought to share that there’s also now BALLOON CHANNELS that got added in the update and wasn’t in the patch notes!!! You can now control when to inflate/deflate balloons from channels.
Loved the video @Kazify! Can't wait for the next video man! The update seems to have it's Highs and Lows, like everything else in life, but the main thing for me is the Work bench. The Fact that it's own part in the Game's Progression was removed makes it more to the Point of it being Minecraft but in Fortnite with Lego's. Anyway, I have the Videos from Brickmania on the Two Jets from Vietnam for you to look at and try to Build in LEGO Fortnite. • F-4E Phantom II: F-4C Phantom II Fighter Jet - Custom Build - November 5th, 2018. • F-105D Thunderchief: F-105D Thunderchief - Custom Build - Designer's Desk (this video is from 2021). Don't worry too much about any of the Functionality of these Builds. As long as you're able to fly around the World in them, you should be fine. I like to see it more as people who don’t want to spend resources for something they should already have in another village. A better way to do that would be when you update your crafting bench, and place it in another village it’s already at the level you levelled it up to. Interesting way to do that, honestly though, as a casual, I kinda like it. 😅
What if you use a lighthouse-custom build to make your jump pad tower? basically a pretty bare bones interior lighthouse but use jumpads as “staircase”, would match your village and hide the true purpose too! Wider base would probably be needed for space tho
This update is very good and welcoming. Unfortunately, our Crafting Benches are now pretty ugly for new ones now. Would be neat if we can "personalise" them to match our builds.
So basically, if someone out there made one of each level Crafting Bench, and kept them all...they would have the rarest Lego Fortnite Items to date. 🤔🤔
I was hoping for something that keeps me going in the summer brake and the expert Mode trophies are not rly a thing that keep me playing Also i reached max population in my world So I am forced to delete a town or Start a new World maybe that keeps me busy....
I'm a bit late, but in my opinion about the crafting table, you should have to upgrade it normally through every stage for the first time, and then every time you craft a new table, it gets the same rarity of the first one
What if all the crafting benches were synced to your upgrades so if you place down your first one and upgrade it to uncommon and than place down a second in a new area, it would be also uncommon so in a world you'd only have to upgrade a crafting bench once.
I think they should rework the crafting bench and have the best of both, you should have to upgrade the first one you place but any after that will have the same recipes available right away
They said klimbo is coming, can't wait for it. Also why didn't they make if you already own an upgraded bench then whenever you put it will make your normal bench turn into the upgraded one? we would still have the grind to make the epic bench and the issue of having to remaking in another place.
2:24 I mean, airships have been the best by far, ever since they added steering wheels. And no, don't judge airships off of the one you built, cause that's not a good one (no offense to the guy who designed it)
@Kaz: I will really miss the design of the Epic crafting bench. If Epic is taking this approach, they really should use the Epic style option instead of the base theme as this is too boring. If they are fixed on having it remain this way, at least add the option to have them as acquired crafting bench designs. After all isn’t this what LEGO Fortnite is mostly about?
I didn't enjoy the struggle to upgrade the crafting bench so the update it just fine with me. Plus i enjoy building and exploring in survival mode so i enjoy the change for sure
They lied because nobody asked for an easier bench. It was done to cheaply fix the duplication glitch without actually doing any debugging and coding, so they could go on vacation.
Kaz, the grind was not fun. I hated wasting resources on upgrading the work bench. It slowed the game down and prevented exploration. So glad to see they fixed it. I don't have to carry knotwood around anymore.

I think they should’ve kept the bench upgrades for expert mode. If they wanted it easier for new players, then why are “new” players playing expert mode…
completely disagree with your opinion on the crafting bench, imagine liking grinding so much that you defend the feature of grinding 24/7 just to need to upgrade the bench each time u make a new one 🙄

The update messed up the flying vehicles. You can't have a seat anymore because when you get out it clips you through the vehicle and you fall
