watching booktube has validated me so much as an introvert, and it’s lovely seeing u doing these things even in the summer; i like winter bc it feels like an excuse to stay inside and read, etc. and in summer i feel this weird pressure to be outside and doing things all the time
yes to living the early grandma life to the fullest while also reading YA, listening to fun popmusic, watching teenage dramas and overall staying young hearts 💜 (Hi from someone who’s watching your video while crocheting a blanket and drinking tea) 🙃
Not me sitting here crocheting while watching your video and then we’re crocheting together 🥰 I would love to see people include self care as a productive use of time. It’s so important for us. Love your new shelves and your 2024 goal to embrace hobbies. Creativity is so good for the soul.
Don’t worry about comparing your skin to your husband - women have different hormone fluctuations - which is why we can very easily have more acne (esp if nutrition is off) :)
I love your monologue on what you find fun in your 20s. I feel like I’m not myself amongst all my friends because I don’t love the “fun” things they love. I wish I could find my people ❤
i learned to crochet when i was about 8/9 and anytime i stay away from it for like a year at a time, whenever i come back, im still fast, its all muscle memory atp. To me at least. You’ll get there love. Don’t compare yourself and lose your joy.
Im here for the crochet/hobby contentttt. I’m a beginner crocheter, knitter, soon to be sewer (I know it’s seamstress but that sounds way too professional haha). I’d love to see your progress and new creations 🥰
For the bookshelves. I think for ultimate feng shui, they both need to be moved to the left so they're against the wall. Their placement now is causing an incongruity on the left side. Plus if you move them to the left, there's room for another 3rd shelf for later on. Will make the space more harmonious
I'm so happy you're learning to crochet! I crochet stuffed animals and love it. It's not as hard as you would think, so I encourage you to give it a try :) You're doing great, keep it up 🫶 I've always said I'm a grandma because I enjoy crocheting, reading, crafting, etc 😂
As an introvert myself my social battery needs recharging often. I recently picked up diamond painting as a hobby and am loving it. I pop on my headphones listen to a audio book and tune out the world for awhile and its the best feeling ever. Loving these vlogs and your shelves look stunning ❤
Oh my gosh your book sleeve is so cute!🙌❤ I literally relate to you so much with feeling like a granny lol! I love what you said about living doing what you want to do and not what everyone else thinks is fun
Def a cozy vlog! 🧺🌷 I'm so with you about the small moments! Anytime I pour a coffee or matcha I pause and take in the swirly art, so beautiful! 🍵 Bring forth the Granny Era! 🧶ps. love your bookshelves. 📖
I recommend Mahum’s videos if you’re a beginner in crocheting. I was able to crochet a kindle sleeve and a book sleeve and they are very beginner friendly.
Rachel, thank you for your word vomit. I’ve attempted to crochet twice, and have given up rather soon and assumed it’s just not for me. You reminded me that it’s okay not to be good at something right away, and I’m now motivated to pick it back up again :)
I organize my books like the library. Chronologically with the last names, it just makes sense in my brain but the colours of the books don’t always look cute next to eachother
I’m from Canada. Love your channel. My husband travels to Australia for work. Do you know of any bookstores that have Flawless by Elsie Silver…special mirrored edition. I have the rest of the Chestnut series but I can’t find Flawless anywhere. Thank you for your help
I was influenced to get the sleep shirt, however, what size did you get? I bought a size 8 and it’s huuuge, I’m going to put it on marketplace and so I sized down to a 4 and it’s still so big. 😂
Question!! I’m getting into fantasy but I’m a proper fantasy beginner. I’ve read divine rivals, never and currently reading Ruthless Vows. What other fantasy books would you recommend for newbies? Would you recommend the Emily Wildes? Xxx
I have 9 bookshelves - there all double stacked with books, so I have no choice but to organise them by authors; but this is what happens when you work in a bookstore.......no being pretty with my bookshelves because I have too many books!!!!
no hate at all... but is there a reason you dont hang anything on your walls? I have always wondered if its an aesthetic choice or if there is a different reason behind it.
Men have great skin, because they usually don’t ruin it with skincare, and make up in their teens. I found the people that started wearing make up the earliest are the ones who start aging the fastest. probably not a 1:1 ratio but definitely more likely. As it’s just artificially, stripping your skin and then trying to replace the moisture with artificial moisturizers. The best thing I found is just use olive oil to wash the face because oil breaks down oil and gets the skin clean. Leaves the skin soft without feeling oily.
Your husband probably does but doesn't say anything, and maybe ....probably....uses some of your products....plus less steps...to basics....I know from mine, says they same things but I have notice the difference on his skin...but as he likes to pretend that he does nothing, i late it go bay 😉 😂❤
So true about guys and skin care. Sadly for us girls, it's often because the popular products used in skincare and makeup routines are super toxic for us. You have to do a lot of research to find good brands, but even then, it's still not normal to smear as much stuff on our faces as most do! 😅🙈

I absolutely love that you always put a bible quote in the beginning of your videos❤
Love you💕
Am so glad to find so many like minded people out there. I'm never happier than when I'm home crafting, reading or puzzling. Love your vlogs❤
Congratulations on three years of marriage! May you be blessed with many more! 💜

I was just about to comment this 😂
I thought it just meant that skin care is a scam 🙈
Yes, annoying. Lol.
Not only are hormones different, but most shave daily, which is basically a massage and exfoliation they do regularly.
@loishillswilliams64 it's a scam whe it suggests a one size fits all approach
I love your monologue on what you find fun in your 20s. I feel like I’m not myself amongst all my friends because I don’t love the “fun” things they love. I wish I could find my people ❤
yes get another bookshelf! it will look so good with three shelves there!!!!

I also love getting into my grandma hobbies. I'm learning to sew and knit and I also love reading. Also an introvert. I love cosy time at home😌
I LOVED the TED talk!! I needed to hear that too ☺️

I also started crocheting this year and I agree its amazing! So therapeutic 🤩 can't wait to be able to make cardigans and jumpers
Happy Anniversary to you and Liam Rachel. ❤💕💕
When you were crocheting, and giving your "ted talk", it really resonated with me and was something I really needed to hear. ❤
you should for sure get another shelf! also maybe paint the other ones white so that they match!
OMG!! I am so glad you're on the crochet grind! Best therapy (after reading) ever !!

Rachel my 7 month old baby grins like a loony at your face on the TV when you talk about books hahaha. Future book girlie ❤️
That little chat about the things you find fun and not having a huge capacity for socialising etc - same, exact same
I recommend Mahum’s videos if you’re a beginner in crocheting. I was able to crochet a kindle sleeve and a book sleeve and they are very beginner friendly.
Loved your TED talk!! 😊❤
She just made my day, and hopefully yours, 10 000x better 😊

My niece and her hubby do the same thing for their anniversary. They got married in Nappa Valley in California. So return each year
Okay but the slowly becoming a grandma is me, I'm turning 25 next month and honestly I love it😂

You are so inspiring ❤️ I'm learning a lot from you 😊
You could fit another white bookshelf on that wall

You should read Quiet by Susan Cain. It's all about introverts and quiet people and I LOVED it
Love your vlogs 😊
We are here for Grandma-core Rachel 👵🏻 🧶
I love your videos!!! ❤
I really need to read Devine rivals!
Try holding your crochet hook like a pen! It makes things easier ❤
OMG! Where did you get the hardbacks of the ‘Once Upon a Broken Heart’ trilogy from? They look amazing!!
16:48 makes me feel seen 🤍🤍🤍
where were you able to get the US hardcovers for the Once Upon a Broken Heart series? they're gorgeous!
I’m from Canada. Love your channel. My husband travels to Australia for work. Do you know of any bookstores that have Flawless by Elsie Silver…special mirrored edition. I have the rest of the Chestnut series but I can’t find Flawless anywhere. Thank you for your help
I want to learn how to crochet I kind of know how to knit I will have to keep practicing.
TL Yarn Crafts has great crochet videos! Tutorials, etc.
love your videos 🩷
May I know where you got your once a broken heart series from? Can’t seem to find the same size book in Australia
You should make a video on being on TH-cam and all the things related to it x
❤📚📚❤️ Happy Anniversary!
I’m re-crocheting my baby’s blanket
« I’m 25 going on 70, and I am not even mad at it » I felt that so much 😂
I was influenced to get the sleep shirt, however, what size did you get? I bought a size 8 and it’s huuuge, I’m going to put it on marketplace and so I sized down to a 4 and it’s still so big. 😂
Buying books. Your own anniversary gift to yourself
I just finished reading Heart Bones by the Colleen Hoover. Omg i loved it so much ! What did you think of this book Rach. ?
The Troy Bolton caught me off guard 😂
I’m sending you love and a great 2024❤

watching people buy books is paining me, cause im trying to go a whole year without buying a book - it's gonna be a tough one
no hate at all... but is there a reason you dont hang anything on your walls? I have always wondered if its an aesthetic choice or if there is a different reason behind it.
There are clauses in a lot of rentals that you can't use hooks. Even the 3m ones
NEW BOOKSHELF NEW BOOKSHELF NEW BOOKSHELF
3 YEARS?!? What?! That was yesterday 🥹🤣❤️
3:06 Wait hold up … wedding anniversary??? Your married ??? Was this new information to anyone else… anyway CONGRATS on 3 years!! ❤️❤️
No
Using too many skincare products causes skin problems. You don't need anything more than a cleanser and moisturiser.
#newsubscriber 💚🖤
I’m sorry but your couch jutting out past the wall + closing off that opening is bothering me😅🙏🏻

Hello it me Aaron.
Why Dont you just DIY the shelves, paint them white. Can be a fun little hobby

17:09 never related more Rachel🫶🏻
🤍🧸📖 I feel guilty all the time for spending so much time alone reading in my room 😭
