In my opinion this completely removed the point of the level and its existence, as it was supposed to be a one time occurrence whilst being a challenge to the wanderer. The forgotten exclamation is quite literally a meta commentary compared to what the original level actually had.
@@BroogliI personally think this should be a sub-level. Where maybe the entities destroyed the section of level !, Or the entities move to a new area because maybe the entities are the ones maintaining level ! and left that part behind.
@ThatOneFloppaGuy What about the compromise. This level becomes decrepit, but wasn't there a similar sub-level (level !-! Maybe? I can't quite remember) that looped back to it? That could have been where the intelligent entities ended up, and it can still loop back to the main empty level. Imagine running on the sublevel, desperate to find any way out, and ending up looping to this empty version of it. No entity will follow you, because they know it's empty, and they don't want to get trapped again. That said, it would have to have its exit collapse into the sublevel in order to make sense, but it is kinda the best of both worlds. Danger, liminal horror, and the inevitable return to the danger until you properly escape the sublevel.
The backrooms literally changed from every types of phobia in existence to a "maybe the true backrooms experience are the friends we make along the way"

I 100% agree with that ted talk you gave at the end. Nobody says The Backrooms HAS to be exactly like what the big wikis say they are, you can always just imagine your own version of The Backrooms, that has everything you could've wanted for it, instead of just acting like there's 1 canon that can't be changed or altered in the slightest, and that's why I like wikis like Liminal Archives so much, because they don't just follow everything the wikidot and fandom wiki says to the T, and they just do what they want with The Backrooms.
Yeah. I’ve made my own futuristic Backrooms level but, I haven’t published it on any of the wikis because it’s probably not complete enough yet to not get taken down and doesn’t really tell any story either. I still like it though and consider it part of my own personal canon because it’s a nice, safe and relaxing level with easy, guaranteed ways to enter, exit and even leave The Backrooms entirely if you want.
Also, technically the wikis are wanderer reports, everyone sees and processes things differently, so of course what you would see/the way you process the backrooms if you were in them would be different in some ways
@@RattyInn tbh that's not really a good argument, you can say that but you can't process something so differently that's it's something completely different, that means you're hallucinating or reality is just bending itself for you.
I think the ruined ! should be a separate level from level !, like a sub level. It would be like a view into one of the levels possible future realities.

I still love how the normal level ! is on the Wikidot. I mean personally it was much more of a thrilling experience running away from a horde of entities chasing you through a 10km hallway and it's way more iconic, the new Fandom ! version it’s all just abandoned which I guess gives the feeling of being watched, feelings of eeriness and loneliness but there isn’t much aside from some interesting new lore but that’s just me, it’s definitely not bad. Now I wonder would this mean that level !-! “Hotel Chase” got abandoned too?
Broogli is actually really good at narrating the friends. I liked how it felt like a real casual conversation with two wanderers. But this begs the question- how/what makes a backrooms level age and change state? we all say abandoned but what was keeping it going? how was it upkept to thrive? what does it depend on to thrive? it has led me to come up with theories of my own. maybe some levels like the fan one with puppy are more of a symbiotic relationship- as the entities were dying so did the level, they chewed up the level and left. The entities depravity maybe caused the initial decay. It reminds me of the sub level of kitty, when kitty the entity left- the room looked and felt abandoned.
imo, this new level is actually really cool and filled with lore, but it doesnt live up to the name run for your life. youre not running from anything. but still its really good.
Personally, I'm disappointed with this "rewritten" version of Level !. Each level in the backrooms has a unique feature to it that makes it unique and (for most of them) terrifying. Level "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" has the essence of being chased by an apex predator, one you can not fight. Sure you can say that it was essentially the backrooms version of Temple Run, but that's sort of what made the level interesting and terrifying, that you literally had to run for your life or be killed (or "unalived"). Now granted, I do like the idea of a backrooms level collapsing and falling into ruin, and they did point out the ridiculousness of having to run 10 miles to reach the exit. But if you ask me, the whole meta scenario seemed to be more mocking the original, rather than improving or expanding on it. One thing I think that could have made it more interesting is that the level starts out dormant to give you a head start. But after a while, the read lights turn on, the alarms start blaring, and entities will start chasing you. Another thing would be that maybe there are specific triggers that, when activated, will cause the level to go into "chase mode". Basically you have to walk through a long hallway, and if you're not careful enough, then you need to run. Heck, it would be awesome (and horrifying) if the corpses of the fallen wanderers suddenly animated and THEY were the ones you needed to run from. I don't know. I just feel like it would have been better to expand on what was written, maybe change a few things so that it actually can be survived (even if extremely difficult to do so), rather than turning it into a hollow husk of what it used to be. But those are just my thoughts.
I love the new level, but the Backrooms is meant to be a place where ANYTHING can happen, after all, there are practically countless levels! So, surely there are kiddish levels like the old level ! or level fun? Levels don't NEED lore to be interesting - a good unique level is all people really need. We can have this Long Forgotten, but the old Level ! should still exist as we all love it, and we all think it's a "main" part of the Backrooms, and sometimes we even like simple levels! Not everything has to be complex. (Although, I'm still a huge fan of the Backrooms still updating old levels - gives it the feel of it existing in real time and how stuff changes like in real life)
What I love about this is it shows that people are actually living lives in the backrooms. A lot of people see the Backrooms almost like Silent Hill or Resident Evil, where you can't go 20 feet without some hellish monster being trying to eat your face off, but atleast in these stories, the backrooms is a community of living people. It's just, our problems are bills, war, unfair laws, that kinda thing, and their problems are having to spend a lot of time hiking through strange places looking for food or trading supplies and avoiding threats xD
Ok this is way less terrifying than it is depressing tbh, it's really bittersweet. And as someone who loves to write, the level is MILES better from a narration standpoint. Props to the author for their work!
Tbh I don't know how to feel about this. On one hand, I like how much more liminal the level is now and how much more it focuses on phycological horror however, on the other hand I feel like it has lost part of its charm. Level run for your life to me was interesting because it was so different from the others but still managed to be horrifying. I know it's kinda considered a kiddie level but when it first popped up it was, at least in my opinion one of the scariest levels in the backrooms. Anyway i like the new one but I prefer the first one, that's all I'm saying.
I have a theory, the entities in level run use to eat people to get food because they can’t eat each other but overtime people avoided this level, and the entities get more and more hungry and soon enough, they starve to death. That explains why they were so violent. So would this mean other levels can happen like this. Like old level fun it was somewhat abandoned. It like the real world, over time things change because of humans. Some good and some bad.
Honestly I like this take on how the backrooms can be changed or warped over time from perception or lack there of. After all does anything ever stay the same?
Something I’ve noticed with the Backrooms community is when they start to not like a level they “Abandonize” it for a lack of better words, “Level Fun”? Nope we don’t like it, how about “The Afterparty” ooh yea that sounds groovy. Level “Run For Your Life”? Bleh, boring, unoriginal. How about “The Long Forgotten !”? Oh wow this is soooo much better. I honestly hate it
I kind of prefer the old version tbh, but it's whatever. I'll just consider both versions canon in my universe. Same way I felt about them replacing the Partygoers and Partypoopers.. And the Zenith change, which btw my favorite level was Zenith, the old version. I know the old version is still there for people who like it but it's just. finding other people who like the old versions and finding a community of people that prefer old versions of levels like me and old versions of entities and monsters and all that stuff would be really difficult it's already hard to find a place in the community, because many people gatekeep, a lot of the community is really toxic, and the backrooms as a concept is just so foreign that you can't really find friends or a place to talk to others about it. It sucks
These darker abandoned levels are interesting as a sort of alternate universe canon to me, Run for your life and Ruined ! Can coexist I have an idea for my backrooms headcanon now haha, I love both levels tbh
To be honest, the partygoers, the snackrooms and level ! in my opinion are not very kid friendly (ok maybe the snackrooms is kid friendly.) I just don’t know why people can change things most of us know and love.
This story is different in a good way. It is almost like the original story and this one is connected. Only time has passed between one story to the next in the same area. I can see this inspiring other rewrites of Backrooms levels having progressed over time.
Honestly I like the theory behind that it was brought into a legend and it got outdated but I think it could be actually a sub-level that has been ruined a bit like the one of the sub-levels in level 0.
i'll be real, that freaking hurts knowing that one the most popular levels have become like this its like if you said that level 0 was now decayed and dead. like i was already shoked about the crimson forest dying too
idk i really liked level !, it was one of my favorites from the start. i never really found it to be childish or stupid; i loved the intensity of it all. after i saw the rewrite a few months back i was kinda disappointed, since this level is sorta like a “boss battle,” the ultimate challenge for wanderers, which i think the backrooms needs. although i do think it was interesting about the aftermath of the level i like the original a lot more
In my personal opinion I believe the backrooms has too many levels with "boss battle ultimate challenge" content for wanderers. even in the old days on both Old Fandom and Old Wikidot those concepts were very played out.
@@outrageousholidayoh-2178EXACTLY. It’s annoying how people are so ignorant not to see this. With level 94? Level 998? Level 999? The End, and so much more. This rewrite adds LORE. It just goes to show people don’t care about the story. Just the quantity
honestly my personal canon of the backrooms is literally just level zero. no entities, no almond water, just yellow wallpaper and buzzing lights for 600 million square miles.
Your prob not going to respond, but broogli, ever since last year, you have made my life. I gave always been so eager to watch your videos, not to mention the liminality that the backrooms gives. I'm greatful I found your channel. Thank you. ❤
I feel as if they absolutely removed the whole point of Level ! The level me meant to be there to punish wanderers or give them an adrenaline rush. Also, the music is just some kid adding music to the level, it never ACTUALLY happened. The level was supposed to be a 10KM long hallway with blaring alarms and a heavy sense of dread. They quite literally ripped all of what the level was away from the level.
I was spectin that the level forced you to outrun your buddy, whit the dudes realicing that only one of them could make it out of it, the other getting trapped to die of starvation
11:47 onward, I couldn’t say anything better, bravo broogli! People should always be aware that the backrooms does not have a set lore and is open source when it comes to changing beloved backrooms levels/objects/entities etc. There’s always a chance that someone could remake the old backrooms or could keep it in imagination. Edit: ( I always look at brooglis explanation on level 6999 when I’m feeling nostalgic about it and it still feels satisfying to watch smth like that)
Personally, I still liked how scary it was back then, but idk why people always need to ruin things these days :/ Honestly, I actually agree with your opinion, Mr. Broogli, and I like it, too
“Scary” PLEASE. Y’all are ruining the backrooms. These levels are a blumhouse horror flick clichè. It became a lazy horror of being chased instead of something that the backrooms was meant to be: A liminal hellscape
"It's your own personal hellscape" Aaaw, that's so.... sweet? I guess? I admire the philosophical discussion presented here. What if perceiving the Backrooms is what creates and sustains it? So if people and entities don't visit a level or even think about it, it decays until it dies. And if the story gets retold, the floor might just pop up in its new, altered iteration. Our own personal hellscape, truly. This also makes me think that the old floors aren't gone. Spaces overlapping so several versions of the floor exists in the same space? Time travel to different stages of the floor's life? This is the Backrooms. I can see that happening.
this version of ! sounds like something that would take part in the FAR future where not many people fell into the backrooms and entitys started starving (maybe due to someone escaping and warning everyone about them or humans being completely extinct)
I really like this new idea for the level as a way to signify the growing maturity of the fandom/community. Not that the original level wasn’t good or enjoyable, but the idea that the collective writing is itself ever changing is interesting. Obviously the canon and lore is whatever you want it to be. That’s the power of collective writing projects like this or SCP where what you want to be canon is canon. However, there are changes in this fandom as a whole that this level gets impacted with. We’re getting more mature both in the fact that I’m certain everyone here is aging, and also that our skills as story tellers have gotten better as we’ve written story after story. With this new maturity comes change and improvement, but it also means things will get left behind. The style of horror that the level run! gives isn’t really the norm for a backrooms level, and it’s one more modern backrooms writers aren’t wanting to create. This level then reflects that. What was once a legendary level of scares and adrenaline is now just a legend told among the wanderers, and what was once a scary idea has become a memory for many of us who love the backrooms. Now this level sits in literal ruins for the wanderers as it sits in ever growing obscurity for the growing story of the backrooms. Obviously this is just my opinion, and again everyone has their own lore and canon of the backrooms which are all equally valid. I just find it being a nice way to sum up the changes in the community as it continues to grow.
@metronicmagician1816 I think trying to act completely "mature" can be even more immature than something immature, true maturity is able to enjoy those immature things and accept them.
I don’t really like it, not the level in specific, but that it replaced level !. I think it should exist, but so should level !. Level ! Is iconic and I get why it gets a little old and obnoxious, but I think that it should still exist. The point of it is in the name, and it seems like a kind of stereotypical video game scene or something like that, but it’s kind of like a one time thing, and it sticks out of the other levels by being stereotypical, and it shouldn’t be removed. I know it’s not really removed, but I still think it should stay in the fandom.
Howdy, it's me, local guy who created ALFE! Super stoked to hear you enjoyed it and even more so happy to see you also thought that Level ! was just Temple Run lol
Tell me what about running for your life for miles without stopping while being chased by entities that will kill you is “kiddified a little too much”?
Adding LORE to an already fantastic and classic level is AMAZING! Good job, good content overall, GG. (but you forgot about one of the level's most dangerous entities, ME [lol])
What if there was a Backrooms level called level CCU Which means Custom Control Unit. A level that takes place in an empty white void with a controlling panel that wanderers can use to remove and or edit other Backrooms levels that are shown on a holographic map layout, you can remove entities, traps, voids, etc. But the only problem is that if the wanderer on this level no clips into another level and another wanderer no clips into level CCU and removes or changes some things of the levels. Then the problem is that the previous wanderer who was in CCU will be confused as to why the levels he changed or remove dosen't appear how he planned it. But this level probably wouldn't be so problematic considering that these wanderers would commonly want the same thing which is getting out the levels saftley and finding an exit back to reality To enter this level you need to find a giant blue button on level 0 and press it. To exit you need to press a big red button on the control panel that says Exit
There’s a theory somewhere on the wiki that says the backrooms change depending on people's perception of it. Maybe some people really do get the red hallway because they believe the story
havent been on this channel for like 8 months. its still good lol just wish there were less fan made levels, or atleast to be written that they are fan made in title but still good vid as always
What if the level itself was dying and starting eating the wanderers and entities that were trapped inside it? The scratches on the walls could either be entities trying to escape their painful demise by attacking the level itself? I mean it's a little far fetched but... Yeah
they should definitely remake kittys area, it’s doesn’t line up with anything, it’s out of place, and overall it doesn’t even contain most of the things to a backrooms level.
lets say, what they say in the story is true, people could change how they want certain levels to be, and change the backrooms completely. Imagine the different possibilities the backrooms could change to, imagine level 11, for example, could change to a very dangerous level, instead of the safe level you know of it, and another example would be level 0, the first level of the backrooms, it could be a entirely safe level, with no entities at all, and an abundance of resources, the possibilities are endless, many people would want to have this power, but, as broogli said, its just a fandom.
I liked the idea of Level ! being a rare ocurrence that happened only once at seemingly random . The silly amount of entities and that, didnt make sense, however that kinda fits the backrooms, common sense will be of little use in there. With the level itself not being scary, but the threat or possibility that at any time you might end up there playing temple run being the scary part. This new version, is also great. It basically confirmed that ! existed at some point. And the bloody horrors that happened in there are inscribed in the walls, floor and the remains of the unlucky wanderers and entities lying around that met their end there and also gives the question of "How does the passage of time affects the levels? or if it affects them at all". And also the open ending about the ! level still being out there somewhere is just referencing it being on other wikis, i like to think of it opening the possibilities of this being a sub-level where all of the creatures and wanderers that failed to reach the end of the hallway end up, a graveyard of some sort with the open possibility of the nostalgic level ! still being somewhere.
So let me get this straight, because im kinda new here. TEchnically the backrooms doesnt have to be exactly what the fandom says, but what I want it to be? I must admit that i knew about images of the backrooms way before I knew about the backrooms proper or took interest into it, mostly through levels like poolrooms And I must admit that I've always thought that it would be kinda cool to have like, an enormous, quasi-infinite place that brings those childhood memories (like, at least for what I know, is what liminal spaces do), where you can just go when you need to think or be calm. I remember once speaking with a random person on the internet about the backrooms once, before taking interest on what it really was, and saying to them "I honestly would love to be able to be on a place like the backrooms (as i said, i hadnt took any interest, so i really didnt knew about entities), just to chill, think, write, read, get away from the tensions of reality for once, take time for yourself" And they responded me "oh, trust me you wouldnt like it there, the atmosphere feels really heavy, unconfortable even"
Honestly, idk much about the backrooms past the original giant office complex with buzzing lights, so i was kinda confused about this stuff about the level being rewritten. I personally like both versions of the story. Although i didn't get to read the original post, ik what the level is about. My headcannon is that the "Level !" everyone knows about is the version of the story that got popular, while the one found by the wanderers was the original level !. A level so obscure that never had been reported on the wiki page. Where few wanderers ever found, and even fewer survived. The lone survivors told their experience to other wanderers, who then spread the story to others, a rumor passed on by mouth, changed ever so slightly everytime it was told, until the known version ended on the wiki, creating a new Level !, while the original rotted away, becoming a long forgotten exclamation.
I would say that this is the true Level !, as for the nostalgic one beeing Level Run For Your Life, as both beeing almost the same place, one you need caution and you enter through a door with !, while another you need to keep running to dont die with more entrances too
I actually really love this change to the level and the commentary presented through the story. It’s so interesting and the way it’s presented as dialogue is so neat. Level run for your life! Will always be iconic and all but things change- the idea that something and enigmatic as the backrooms staying the same forever takes away from the concept imo (emphasis on the imo). So levels like level ! Having progression and change as people live through the backrooms and the backrooms continues to warp and bend makes it feel a lot more real which actually inherently makes it more scary to me!! Ofc there’s nothing wrong with the OG Level ! But it being presented in this way is far more literary and thought provoking in a way I enjoy. That’s my take!!!! Change is natural and change is good! But it’s also natural to resist change so I get the discontent abt it changing as well
not gonna lie, I agree w/ ur opinion now that you actually explained it lmao. I used to think it was worse, but now it kinda seems better. Love ur vids, Keep up the good work!
Kinda the point of the Backrooms is that, we're not supposed to be there....period. (despite it weirdly having methods for us to survive and odd theres no human entities) It doesn't play by our rules, hell either does life. Nothing is "subtle" in the unknown and the entire backrooms is a chaotic mess, Level ! cant "be out of place" when there is no place, its supposed to catch you off guard and be a adrenaline rush to kill you, the trespasser.
I this adds some narritive of the backrooms. Level "!" Used to be a run for your life, but now it has changed. Which has me wondering why. Why did the level fail? Is the backrooms itself collapsing?
is there any level where you can trade with entities? like it's safe and secure, but the Entity count is high for the only reason that Entities have set up shops and selling things they have found across the whole of the back room.
I bet this fan made version level run for your life takes place in a future that is unknown yet just like how that one guy from Kane Pixel backrooms video - information video where he got teleported I think 3 months in the future
This change reminds me of how I’ve never found logical so many levels and entities being SO detrimental to both physical and mental health (and it appears even safer or more “normal” ones are being modified to fit into that line), yet there are still so many groups and hundreds of people living in the backrooms doing just fine…
Old Level Run for Your Life is better in my opinion. to me this is just another semi-lame backrooms level that I am just not gonna care about and forget about entirely
I actually kinda like the idea. My own head canon is that the level was deliberately made out to be far worse than it was because there is a greater threat posed by the level than just the entities. Like, they deliberately lied and said it was 10km and all this stuff because there is some other reason as to why the level needs to be avoided and so it was deliberately fabricated to prevent anyone ever going there on their own accord. I'd love to see if they ever add anything extra like perhaps being in the level at all could have permanent effects and that contributed to the death of the entities and maybe gave a reason as to why they couldnt escape. Kind of like going to the level could curse you permanently. That's the direction I'd like to see it go in because it adds even more lore and story.
I remember making a similar point on another video and that point was just because it’s not on the Wikipedia and isn’t official doesn’t mean no one is going to try to rewrite it or imagine it in their own version. I know it may not sound as exciting as what the back rooms are supposed to be but I kind of imagine that each house in reality that exist is like a backroom within reality because families and houses while can be similar in personalities or appearance are still different. Just because two things look exactly the same and are called the same thing, each of both of them are their own object or say to people who are twins, who look behave, and have all the same interests they are still considered two different people, you can’t just say that they’re one person and that’s what the Backrooms are like. Maybe that’s why the Backrooms are so corrupted because every single level probably has multiple or at least one other version of themselves. LOL! Take the total number of Backrooms that actually exist and multiply that by how many people are on earth and you got the real number of backrooms that could possibly ever exist if we assumed everyone knew what the Backrooms were and everybody had their own version of each level, that’s not, including the fact that the surface population is always increasing each year creating even more versions of those levels. That would be like saying that just because a song is not copyrighted or known by everyone mean it doesn’t exist. Plus doesn’t one theory say that the Backrooms may be a manifestation of what each of everyone’s imagination may create combined? We just don’t know who or what is causing all those thoughts to merge into another universe or Multiverse, which is the BackRooms, but I guess in a way you can say that we are the creators of the back rooms so there’s no unknown entity that’s creating them because we are the entities, we just don’t know what’s causing all these levels or thoughts to connect to each other. Who knows? Maybe even the reason why some levels share entrances or exits with certain other levels, but not all levels is because a group of people who share similar, but different thoughts to each other in one way or another connects and disconnect what levels you can and can’t enter or exit from the level you’re currently on and one thing all levels seem to have in common is that they make you feel isolated from reality.
I think the level is not bad seems more of an adventure than just running away from entities yeah better than the last one. But i hate how people say too many levels are bad like bro the backrooms wouldn't been fun with only 1 or 2 levels. I don't like how this world is changing.
I feel as though the backrooms level ! or run for your life the origin is this level is basically an event in on itself the backrooms doesn’t have an official canon but given that we know entities do break in so these entities were never intentionally trying to chase they were too matched evenly they were trapped and probably by a super massive trap by party poopers or any other intelligent entity this may explain why the rooms associated with them are simply locked but then eventually when the spell or item lost effect the entities are no longer confined to a matrix of just chasing the wanderer so they ended they’re own lives think of it as they’re basically too clumped and under a spell they wouldn’t know that they had a chance to escape so all of the classic entities simply fought to they’re death when they were free
What Imagine If it change so much? That it turns back to normal. But more horrifying. And more harder. Or would someone rebuild it again? We would never know.

It reminds me of the sub level of kitty, when kitty the entity left- the room looked and felt abandoned.
your feelings were irrational
imo, this new level is actually really cool and filled with lore, but it doesnt live up to the name run for your life. youre not running from anything. but still its really good.
again, like they sayed, the original from wiki could be out there, they just didnt found
The new one isn't run for your life.
The new one is long forgotten exclamation.
@@outrageousholidayoh-2178so basically it's like another level that is in the dump of forgotten levels which makes it a different level?
The comments made by the rewriters on the Wikia kinda confirms that part of the rewrite was done with malice.
(Although, I'm still a huge fan of the Backrooms still updating old levels - gives it the feel of it existing in real time and how stuff changes like in real life)
WE NEED LEVEL ! BACK!
What about running from killer entities for miles without stop is “kiddish”?
@@nukeulardown its cringe never again
@@ZeroDim oompa loompa doopity doo, i'd like to know who the fuck asked you.
It's just, our problems are bills, war, unfair laws, that kinda thing, and their problems are having to spend a lot of time hiking through strange places looking for food or trading supplies and avoiding threats xD
in most levels the entities are quite rare
In a way, the backrooms are more like Fallout or S.T.A.L.K.E.R., with less radiation and less cheeki breeki.
I honestly hate it
They are changing that.
Arbitraitor already made a new level fun rewrite that isn't that.
I kind of prefer the old version tbh, but it's whatever. I'll just consider both versions canon in my universe. Same way I felt about them replacing the Partygoers and Partypoopers.. And the Zenith change, which btw my favorite level was Zenith, the old version.
I know the old version is still there for people who like it but it's just.
finding other people who like the old versions and finding a community of people that prefer old versions of levels like me and old versions of entities and monsters and all that stuff would be really difficult
it's already hard to find a place in the community, because many people gatekeep, a lot of the community is really toxic, and the backrooms as a concept is just so foreign that you can't really find friends or a place to talk to others about it.
It sucks
I be very interested in this level becoming a new base . Like the idea of levels shifting DRAMATICALLY makes it feel more real
These darker abandoned levels are interesting as a sort of alternate universe canon to me, Run for your life and Ruined ! Can coexist
I have an idea for my backrooms headcanon now haha, I love both levels tbh
To be honest, the partygoers, the snackrooms and level ! in my opinion are not very kid friendly (ok maybe the snackrooms is kid friendly.)
I just don’t know why people can change things most of us know and love.
This story is different in a good way. It is almost like the original story and this one is connected. Only time has passed between one story to the next in the same area. I can see this inspiring other rewrites of Backrooms levels having progressed over time.
Its kind of decent what was 'done' here. Still not sold on what they did to the Snackrooms.

Aaaw, that's so.... sweet?
@metronicmagician1816
I think trying to act completely "mature" can be even more immature than something immature, true maturity is able to enjoy those immature things and accept them.
I am so glad you people are not running the backrooms wikidot
Howdy, it's me, local guy who created ALFE! Super stoked to hear you enjoyed it and even more so happy to see you also thought that Level ! was just Temple Run lol

Tell me what about running for your life for miles without stopping while being chased by entities that will kill you is “kiddified a little too much”?
I honestly have no clue what he even meant by that.
But this level probably wouldn't be so problematic considering that these wanderers would commonly want the same thing which is getting out the levels saftley and finding an exit back to reality
To enter this level you need to find a giant blue button on level 0 and press it.
To exit you need to press a big red button on the control panel that says Exit
There’s a theory somewhere on the wiki that says the backrooms change depending on people's perception of it. Maybe some people really do get the red hallway because they believe the story

As Broogli says, Maybe the true backrooms was the friends we made along the way.
Don't touch Kitty.
lets say, what they say in the story is true, people could change how they want certain levels to be, and change the backrooms completely.
I was so excited when I first read this after stumbling upon it a few months ago, it was crazy
Back at it with the best backrooms videos!
Love you broogli! (The goat)
I loved broogli reading the dialogue it was so good!
I must admit that i knew about images of the backrooms way before I knew about the backrooms proper or took interest into it, mostly through levels like poolrooms
And I must admit that I've always thought that it would be kinda cool to have like, an enormous, quasi-infinite place that brings those childhood memories (like, at least for what I know, is what liminal spaces do), where you can just go when you need to think or be calm.
I remember once speaking with a random person on the internet about the backrooms once, before taking interest on what it really was, and saying to them "I honestly would love to be able to be on a place like the backrooms (as i said, i hadnt took any interest, so i really didnt knew about entities), just to chill, think, write, read, get away from the tensions of reality for once, take time for yourself"
And they responded me "oh, trust me you wouldnt like it there, the atmosphere feels really heavy, unconfortable even"
yes pretty much thats right. theres no set canon/lore...

I would say that this is the true Level !, as for the nostalgic one beeing Level Run For Your Life, as both beeing almost the same place, one you need caution and you enter through a door with !, while another you need to keep running to dont die with more entrances too
What if we

It doesn't play by our rules, hell either does life. Nothing is "subtle" in the unknown and the entire backrooms is a chaotic mess, Level ! cant "be out of place" when there is no place, its supposed to catch you off guard and be a adrenaline rush to kill you, the trespasser.

Backrooms Freewriting Wikia has the old Level Run.
It's kind of a cavalcade of crap but it's there.
I this adds some narritive of the backrooms. Level "!" Used to be a run for your life, but now it has changed. Which has me wondering why. Why did the level fail? Is the backrooms itself collapsing?
I do really think its a cool idea they should add this to the wiki
is there any level where you can trade with entities? like it's safe and secure, but the Entity count is high for the only reason that Entities have set up shops and selling things they have found across the whole of the back room.
Wikidot's Level 82.
welp hes having a MAD TİME.
The og level is literally imposisble 10 km(6 miles) non stop? The survivability of this level shouldn't be a thing.
That's the direction I'd like to see it go in because it adds even more lore and story.
the dialogue alone is lovely, both on the page when first i read it, and voiced by broogly man

The backrooms doesnt change
They EVOLVE
Playing Bendy And The Dark Revival Right Now, Gonna Binge A Bunch Of Broogli Videos 👍
Level run for your life was a classic and most of us thought after you beat it you would go to "the end".
What Imagine If it change so much? That it turns back to normal. But more horrifying. And more harder. Or would someone rebuild it again? We would never know.
The harder Level Run was Level !-!.
In my opinion I really hate the new version the Og is so much more interesting
What do you think of the new level ! ?
