    Those look like Rose Head nails. Check out the Tremont Nail Company, they still make them. I will look to see if I still have some when I get home. Also look into using Old Brown Glue. Clean the leg and the frame with a scraper and then glue them.

      hi there i think i am just going to use screws , the wholes are so wobbled out from kneading the dough and they are all different sizes length and width . i dont have the skills time or place to do a total re due. so screws should do , i do thank you for your help , glad you stopped in and liked it.Best to all and have a Happy New Year . thanks John

    Finishing nails need to be driven through, not pulled out. That prevents blowout, John.
