Very well done. It's hard for me to get past all the sadness and death that surrounded the Brontes (in real life). I fear that often we don't realize how good we have it.
Love watching your videos! You’re so positive and have a beautiful aura. I’ve read Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights. Tough to choose a favourite between those two. I want to get to Tenant of Wildfell Hall soon!
I've read Shirley, and Villette, and Jane Eyre and liked the plots and style. You inspired to read the other novels of these wonderful writers. Thank you.
This was so interesting, I didn't know very much about the Bronte family! I love Jane Eyre so much ❤️ I've read a few others by them, but I'm excited to read more!
I don’t know if you like buddy reading, but if you would like to do a buddy re-read of Wuthering Heights, I’d be up for it. I haven’t read it in a couple of years.
Hi, Kailey! Luke here. Your video was a great reminder to me to read some more Bronte works. To be honest, Wuthering Heights is the only work by them I have read. I enjoyed it, not for the characters but rather for the setting. I am thinking of tackling Jane Eyre but was wondering, would you classify it as a romance or as a gothic novel? I greatly prefer the later. Thanks!
I would say it is more of a gothic novel. The romance is in there, but it's all wrapped up in weird mystery and power struggles. It's not your normal lovey-dovey romance at all. The gothic elements in the story stand out more strongly. Happy Reading!
Thanks for this video, it’s so well done and I learned a lot about the Brontë sisters! I’m curious if you’ve re-read Wuthering Heights yet, and if what you thought of it changed, reading it later in life. I read it last year when I was 19 and I had a different experience. Sometimes I’m gullible and way too trusting in narrators, I get swept right up in it. I’d like to read it again now and keep your comments in mind!
I am planning on rereading Wuthering Heights in October! I want to see if my opinion of it will change. I hated it the first time, but that was like 20 years ago.
Anne Bronte actually died in May 1849, not in 1848 as it says in the video. Sorry! Typos.

Loved this! What fascinating lives they lead. Anne is my favourite Bronte. She's just way too underrated!
I agree! I don't know why her books aren't more popular.
This was so interesting!
Hi! Thanks for the video. I would recommend Juliet Barker's biography of the family. It is enlightening!

I really enjoyed Agnes Grey. When you were talking about it, it made me want to reread it again 😊
I really love Jane Eyre so much and I did enjoyed Wuthering Heights!

👍 This was excellent! You totally got me in the mood to go through the Bronte's books.

That's a good idea. Maybe. I'm not sure when I'll get around to reading it, but I'll make an announcement if I decide to do a buddy read.
@@LuminousLibro okay no pressure! I have no clue what 2021 reading will be like!
