Hi there, for reading in the bath I highly recommend kindle paperwhite as it’s waterproof (if you accidentally drop it) and can make the writing larger or smaller by just pinching then screen xx
Greetings from Denmark!!! Nothing more hygge than winter, although it can be apply anytime , anywhere even anybody...As long as it makes you feel well and cosy😊. We have had a similar weather lately, snow/sleet/rain & wind and a beautiful blue sky yesterday but veeery cold⛄.... So embrace it in your hygeelig home, Cher! Warm regards🌼
Hi Elena, Thanks so much for watching the vlog and taking the time to comment too, especially about 'hygge'. I love to hygge all year round! Cosiness is the best feeling! Brrrr! Been super cold here too, lots of snow in places and all day frost! It is due to be -6 tomo, that is very cold for England, Keep yourself warm this weekend. Cher xx
Hi Cher, it's very cold up here this weekend🥶, the wood burner is glowing and its part of this hygge feeling. By the way, I have some redness on my cheeks and nose too, extreme temperatures don't help. Here comes a tip: when you move from outdoor to indoor, tap gently your face all over, so it doesn't feel too radical for your skin to jump from -6º to 20º. Thank you for your videos. Keep warm🥰!
I’m a Stage 4 Cancer patient who embraces all things Hygge. Its calming properties are such a comfort & distraction from the Chaos of my life. Although I do snuggle up with a hot cuppa, cozy blankets, candles & a book, I had never thought about moving furniture around or bringing in extra elements to kick it up a notch. I’ll definitely be trying that tonight! Thank you!
It's lovely to hear from you and I am so glad you have found 'Hygge' I am certain the comfort of this lifestyle is a big distraction from what is currently going on in your life. Sorry to hear things are tough for you at the moment and sending peaceful thoughts your way. 🥰 Hygge really does help us to see the beauty in the simplest things; a cuppa, blankets, candles and a book - enjoy! Are you reading anything at the moment? I love creating reading nooks, I never think about 'what they look like' because it is all about cosiness! Did you try it? Take care and keep up the hygge lifestyle! Cher x
@ yes, I did! I turned an overlooked chaise lounge in my bedroom, into a cozy nook corner. Everything I need is at my fingertips, while my feet are comfortably elevated. I’ve always enjoyed the different elements separately, but never thought of bringing them all together. I’m looking forward to whatever other cozy ideas you have to get us through the remaining winter months!
Very cosy, I’m into wintering and very much live through nature and the seasons. Soup wise, I like to make up dishes, I’m vegetarian and enjoy spices, so use sweet pots, leek, parsnip, carrots, onion and garlic - cumin, ginger and chilli. My tip is just what you’re doing, listen to nature, embrace it, relax and hibernate but when bright get out and enjoy the sun (when it’s out!). Lots of cosy blankets, light candles and fairy lights in the house. Read books, listen to music. Allow your body to rest a little, just as nature is. Lovely vlog, sending out a good message. 🥰
Hi Michelle, Hope you are well this very cold January day. I am veggie , well I am a pescatarian (i do eat fish), leek & potato soup is delicious - haven't made that for a while. Yes, allowing our bodies to rest! Completely agree! Take care and catch up soon, Cher x

Hello Cher! I discovered your channel a little before the holidays and enjoy the overall peacefulness of all your videos. My husband and I moved away from the city in the Laurentians, Quebec over 10 years ago. We call our home "The nesting cottage" since friends and family love to come over and recharge their batteries :) away from the hustle and bustle of life. We are fortunate to work from home for over 17 years although I recently retired. I enjoy walking around the lake or in the forest since we are surrounded by both. Birds come and eat in our hands. We often see deers, hares, foxes etc. My husband's clients will often take a little walk in the woods after a session with him (life coach). We have lots of snow here and enjoy every minute of each season. We hop on our snowshoes and will enjoy our trails on our land and come back for an onion soup since I love to cook! You are right we are a like minded community here and have a lot in common! For me being grateful and present in the now chases away negative thoughts. Jo :)

I loved the winter simmer pot, and I think I will try that out. We didn't have any snow this last weekend, but it has been very frosty for the last couple of days. Take care and keep warm. Have you tried the anti fog spray on your glasses? Not sure how effective it is but have seen it in shops. Might be worth a try to help the steaming up in the bath. Nothing more relaxing than a soak in the bath with a good book 📕
