I love that you hum! I'm a hummer myself. I think it is because of having a happy heart. Thanks so much for this....beautiful technique and you're a pleasure to watch.
Very amazing as I watch the second time,I have watched a lot of people,You are the only one to Inspire me to really understand what you're saying how to mix the clay and all that,Thank you, Von.
Thanks for the inspiration! I am on a faux gemstone kick and this video is the ticket! Love that you hum and sing - I often do so when I am creating, but my singing voice is not so good, yours is pleasant! Thanks again!
I started watching your videos to learn new crafting techniques but I love your videos because of your sunny disposition and contagious smile! Keep up the GREAT work!!
Hi ... I love what you do and what I have learnt from you. A tip for when sanding at these grades is to use loads more water as it forms a paste of what is sanded and the wet and dry paper to give you a super fine polish. Also a drop or two of washing up liquid helps too.. keep up the good work and singing too
I have made some of these and didn't like them but I hadn't thought about using the pasta machine to stretch the design. And see? That's why I love your videos!!!! I learn new things I would never would have thought of. Thankyou!
You can use elmers glue to Dop with cut dowel sticks. I find it easier to Hand Sand this way. Elmers comes off Easy! BUT It holds long enough to get most sanded as the wet is on the sanded side and not the glued side. I have used it with my Welo Opal stones I have finished. It worked Remarkably Well.
Green turquoise comes from copper and blue Usally is found with iron deposits. I'm a silversmith Usally I make 70s style turquoise rings. I always find inspiration when I watch you. Your so talented dear💜 Ty for sharing this idea pretty cool
Hey, Jim! Blue acrylic paint could tint your white clay to the color you are looking for; I'd test a bit before doing a whole big batch though! Good luck, and Happy Crafting!
Like your help...I had some of the same problems of colors I wasn't liking so was glad to hear what I should have done to help mine . . Thanks so much. Love your work. 😎 😎 😎
Wow, I've done faux stone in all polymer that turned out fairly well but I never thought to use acrylic paint for the inclusions..... Awesome, definitely seeing what I can do with this technique, seems so much easier and faster 💙💙💙 tfs
Just found this - wow!! What a fantastic technique - I will definitely have a go with some of the clays I have hanging about. (Note to self - must get a pasta maker!!) xxxx
Do you varnish your cabochons after sanding? I've used very fine grade sanding pads, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000 and down to 12,000 grit to polish CA (superglue) which I use to 'varnish' wooden fountain pens which I sometimes make. The CA glue finishes like a layer of glass but to achieve that sort of finish I Ieave them on a mandrel and spin them in a lathe to sand as the glue is very hard. Just wondered if you'd ever considered using CA glue as a varnish? It would toughen the surface and maybe give a better shine. If you do, don't be tempted to use the accelerator for curing the glue - just let it set naturally and don't breathe the fumes.
Hmm, that's a great idea. Although, I wonder if people like myself, that are allergic to all medical glue (including CA) as well as adhesives would react badly to wearing a pendant covered in it? Just wondering. I love the idea of it.
HI I . I love your crafts.. You are so talented ! I really want to try making this . I'm a newbe! so , I was wondering iuf the copper paint is also acrylic?
I'm not sure what to use to tumble it. But I know it can be done. I'm working on getting a tumbler so I can experiment. I love your whole channel, by the way. I made a helm chain bracelet today while you showed me how!!
I'm thinking the stainless steel shot wouldn't be good for polymer clay ... maybe the stuff they use for tumbling bullet casings in a vibratory tumbler would work.
Those look pretty. You need a better way to polish and remove the acrylic paint. Someone suggested tumbling them. I watch videos from Turtle Soup Beads. She works in polymer clay too. She dips her beads in Pledge acrylic floor polish when they come out of the oven. She buys it online and it keeps all of her pieces together and adds a nice shine. She buys it online.
Wondering if you didn't maybe use way too much of your black paint. (I would have probably washes my hands with the gloves on so that the heavy black paint wasn't transferring on your clay even more. Most turquoise that I've ever seen has very little black in it.
I love that you hum! I'm a hummer myself. I think it is because of having a happy heart. Thanks so much for this....beautiful technique and you're a pleasure to watch.

Did she bake the clay?
You are an incredible artist and a superb teacher.
I love watching you I want to make some myself you are teaching me I want you have a wonderful day always thank you that
Turquoise goes really nice with antique copper wire and beads ... If you put sandpaper on blocks you can do some mild faceting too ...

Wow, thank you Cassandra! I am having a rough day and your comment came right as I needed it the most; thank you so much for your kindness!
So true !!!
...I was about to say the same thing - "sunny disposition and pleasant smile".....

Do you have a website ?
@@jimparsons4312 not yet dear. But were looking into it because there is only so much I can wear and this stuff adds up. Lol
Do you have a link for the silicone push mold?
Have you ever done any 🐙? I have a bunch of people asking for them and I am a little nervous as to where to start because of all of the legs.
How can I make this but a real light blue color? Can I add blue dye to white clay and create the look?
Hey, Jim! Blue acrylic paint could tint your white clay to the color you are looking for; I'd test a bit before doing a whole big batch though! Good luck, and Happy Crafting!
Nice love your art
Thank you for giving us such a great new aspect of what we can do
Like your help...I had some of the same problems of colors I wasn't liking so was glad to hear what I should have done to help mine . . Thanks so much. Love your work. 😎 😎 😎
Where did u get your cabochon molds? Love your videos!
Do you have info on how long to bake and do you put a protective coating on to seal?
They turned out pretty ❤️
Wow, I've done faux stone in all polymer that turned out fairly well but I never thought to use acrylic paint for the inclusions..... Awesome, definitely seeing what I can do with this technique, seems so much easier and faster 💙💙💙 tfs
Have you thought about putting the cabachon on your rock tumbler with some lightweight material , to polish them? Thoughts
Just found this - wow!! What a fantastic technique - I will definitely have a go with some of the clays I have hanging about. (Note to self - must get a pasta maker!!) xxxx
Amazing! You never ceases to inspire me.
Which mould did you use to shape the turquoise?
Wow!
Love both!!

Guys Brown paper sack is equal to 3,000 grit sand paper. 💜
Love it! Well done.
As always you are amazing and fun to watch :)
Great stuff. Do you know how to do faux dragons blood? It's so expensive but I love the look of it so much
I would LOVE to see that!
I've heard different ways of using paper, parchment against waxed, which one works best?
Also, how long does it take to dry the clay, once you are finished mixing?
Where did you find the handles for your clay blades?
I love your humming :)
Yvonne what type of paint did you use on the clay? acrylic? Folk Art??
HI I . I love your crafts.. You are so talented ! I really want to try making this . I'm a newbe! so , I was wondering iuf the copper paint is also acrylic?
It is! :)
Von don't you have a little Dremel tool to do all the sanding and polishing
Awesome!❤️
Look forward to every video u load. There always awesome!! 💜
Turquoise is my favorite when it has some copper.
Thank you Yvonne :}
Love this. Can you do this with air dry clay? I haven't ventured to polymer clay yet.
That was an amazing tutorial video!...thank you for uploading!....btw, where did you get the cabachon silicone push mold?...
Polymer clay can be tumbled... just a thought for whenever you make another big batch of cabs...
:-O waaaa? I am going to have to try this!

Nice💖
I didn’t realize you can mix different clay types…good to know. Also thought hard clay was something to toss. I thought it was spoiled.
This is why we need room and time to play, so we can come up with all the fun and clever things that open new doors.
Cool! And love your happy humming

Turquoise gets is color from copper so, where there is turquoise there will be copper.
looked up the I'm yours song to listen to while I was watching your time lapse. ;)
nice
semplicemente fantastica
You should use a Dremel to sand and polish your cabochons. It would be easier on your hands. 🙂
a coupe hours to dry I heard
Where can I get a straight and a wavy blade
Hey, Victorai! This blade set is really nice: amzn.to/2JaDpwd
proverò con la ceramica a freddo
Anyone else peering at one of their rings under a table lamp?
"Slap chops dont work well with clay." There's a story there and I kinda want to hear it.
Sometimes I use makeup wipes to clean my tile lmbo
You put too much black in it.
Hey, Patti! That is certainly something you can modify to suit your taste as you make your own
I love watching you I want to make some myself you are teaching me I want you have a wonderful day always thank you
