I remember a wedding story where the Maid of Honor called all the other women invited to wear their wedding gowns, and the bride wore a different color. When the MIL swept in to take attention, nobody noticed or cared.
I saw that one too 😂 They contacted all the female guests saying it’s a wedding themed wedding, wear white and if you’ve still got your own wedding dress wear it. The MIL blended right in and was furious but couldn’t say anything cos if she complained she’d be admitting she was planning to cause a scene.
That gave me an idea for a quirky theme, a reverse wedding; the couple wears something plain while everyone else goes all out with their white gowns or tuxedos.
That's so cute!! I mean, I know it was a spiteful thing on the MiL's side, but I think the idea of an all-white wedding where the bride is the main pop of color would be nice
It's brilliant! My dress code was "wear what makes you feel awesome" -- and I wasn't in white -- so if anyone showed up in white I'd be like "yay it makes you look awesome!" and then give them the 2 month old baby to hold. He was especially pukey that day! And then possibly get "oh my gosh would you ever" printed on the thank you cards, along with one of the pics said person photobombed.
7:51 btw this is the traditional duty of the Maid of Honor. Throw red wine on anyone other than the Bride, Groom, or flower girls who turns up in white
@ op was definitely more subtle about it than most stories I’ve heard. Usually during the reception they would straight up throw their drink at the person, no pretending it was an accident.
That story about the MIL who came to visit after TWENTY FIVE years pisses me off so much. If you want to be treated like a grandmother, maybe BE A GRANDMOTHER. And the absolute hypocrisy of saying that her daughter was “too young,” when OP was literally younger. Why can’t people like this just be reasonable??
Because if they were reasonable they wouldn't try this. A reasonable person would maybe attempt to reconnect but not expect anything out of it or not come back at all.
I'm inappropriately happy in the knowledge that if she was going to the OP for him to take care of her in her old age it means literally every other member of the family, her daughter included, has already decided they have had enough of her twisted nonsense to be grasping at that 25 year old straw.
@@JustAPasserby-e6z I have a suspicion. Selfish,self-centered Grandma had discovered she had raised a selfish,self-centered daughter who couldn't be bothered with her inconvenient mother, so she decided to latch on to the discarded grandson.
There’s a story in my family about the bride’s sister, a bridesmaid, complaining about trivial things before the ceremony and stressing the bride out. The Assistant to the Bride, a niece of the groom, verbally took the bridesmaid down a peg. Apparently it was glorious.
@Lunar994 yes! Look into the rolls and why they are there.nits actually pretty cool! Expect the part where girls were just property to be given in contractual exchange from family to family. Ugh
49:23 I did NOT expect the FIL to pole dance and kill it! 😂 That is so funny, wholesome and awesome! Old man has still got it in spades! Honestly, great vibes all around.
I also have problems with processing spoken information due to ADD and brain fog. My tip is to use the subtitles as often as you can! Even if it's only automatic and sometimes very wrong, most of the times it's right and at least help me understand A LOT better. I even use subtitles in my own native language, on every program/video I see. Hear AND reading makes me actually process the words.
Not just vandalism either, its destruction of government property and attempted battery on 2 public officals WHILE working for the state. Thats a guaranteed felony in EVERY PART OF THE WORLD!!
Right wingers everywhere think that it should be a mitigating circumstance. Like "Yeah, I was violent, but I don't believe they should be alive in the first place, so it's not really a crime!"
37:54 This is why maternity wards are super strict about the security of parents and newborns. I once visited someone who gave birth and got a little lost trying to leave the department. A staff member _very assertively_ helped me find an exit and made sure I used it. I went out of my way to be polite with her and thank her for her help because I was a little afraid of her calling security.
Also if a "baby missing" alert goes out you'll struggle to even get into an elevator without being approached by a nurse who may or may not have a hammer in their hand. They do not fuck around in maternity or NICU wards.
My mom worked in NICU and apparently there was a dude hired to intentionally "steal" a baby. He basically acted as a janitor for a month and because everyone recognized him he had no issues just taking the designated baby and just leaving (my mom was not working that day). Apparently there was hell raised and security got way tighter in the maternity/nicu areas because they failed the test so spectacularly.
@@KellyKalupadon’t remember the name but it ends with arson And I think the last post has something with arson in the name it’s also cross posted on to other subreddits Hope that helps
The "blood is thicker than water" people conveniently forget how the full saying goes and what it actually means. It goes as follows: “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Which basically means the bonds we choose to make are more important than those that were sort of forced upon you.
I love the sentiment, but that is just not true. Blood has been used to signify family (in the traditional sense) for millennia. The covenant/womb interpretation doesn't have a single source older than about century, and the current spread of this misinformation is wishful thinking from tumblr. "Blood is thicker than water" means exactly what mainstream conventional interpretation says it means. That doesn't stop anyone from thinking it's bullshit, of course.
A reminder that, although his English is impeccable, it's still not his native language. Which should, in turn, make us all appreciate just _how good_ his English really is!
That cop one was wild. Not only did she attempt to attack an officer, run from them, resist arrest, AND waste everyone's time, she ALSO called OP a slur, which would also insult her own son, like... What the fuck was Betty on?!
Considering that she said something about money at first, which the OP ignored meaning that it's likley happener multiple times. I would guess that it's either money for gambling or money for drugs, which I would also point out people on drugs or on withdrawls from them always make stupid choices and are also weirdly powerful.
Oh, it's _so much worse_ when you go on their user profile. There's a whole _saga_ of shit this awful woman has done. Thank goodness Click posts the usernames so it's easy to find. There's a dead rat in the mailbox, false kidnapping allegations, fake police being sent to their house, actors being hired to try and split them up, harassing them both at their respective workplaces, and more! The last post about her is five years old though.
Betty was on body cam, dash cam, and police CCTV, cause a police station will have cameras. I wonder how hard it will be for the judge to keep a straight face. And the slur just made it a hate crime.
She wasn't insulting her son. In her head her son is just "confused" and it's OP that's the f-slur for putting gay thoughts in her son's head. People who act like this have insane cognitive dissonance
5:52 Cliccy In English, that is called a "veil" 14:35 What's weirder, is she knew EXACTLY what her grandson looked like... Which implies her and/or the bio mother STALKED THE FATHER ONLINE
Best case scenario She still had the dad's address from the early years Given that she immediately recognized the son and hugged him... Makes me think you're right
Or she just knew the boy was 25 and assumed the young man was her grandson and happened to be right. Imagine if op just had a random maintenance worker over to fix the dishwasher or something and mil did that. Lol😂😂
Love the last story it was so funny! The way the in-laws were like “if you’re struggling financially we can help, you don’t need to do this” was so funny.
Click! I’m 1 year on T! I know you won’t see this but thank you for unknowingly supporting me through the last 5 years of my social and now hormonal transition 💙
20:22 I can't help but feel an immense sense of catharsis from Click claiming that the mother-in-law is being sexist for claiming that men can't raise kids on their own.
Definitely the impression the MIL is a sexist given how she constantly refrained about how looking after the boy would have been an unacceptable imposition on her daughter and or herself
That grandmother is insane. I was raised by my Gramma ((as was my older half brother too)), and she didn't waste any time getting custody of me when she found out I was in the foster system. She took the time to get a foster license to get me before she could go through with the adoption process. I am 34 now, she's 75, she's my Mom, and we live together and have had awesome life experiences and adventures that she's who I think of first if you ask me about my parents. She was 41 when I was born. HOW OLD WAS THAT GRANDMOTHER IF SHE THOUGHT SHE WAS TOO YOUNG TO BE A GRANDMOTHER TO HER GRANDSON?? What in the actual-?!
Well, since the daughter was 24 when she had her son, I'd assume the grandmother was at least 42-43? So a couple years older than your grandmother was when you were born. No excuse.
Her daughter was 24 so she was about 35 at the absolute youngest that is physiologically possible, or 40 at the youngest that is legally possible. But that's assuming the story actually happened, which I'm 99% sure it didn't.
The intro reminded me of something my physics teacher did once. During a lecture he noticed that most students did not pay attention so he started while still pointing and writing on the board to just say "blah" instead of actually talking. Seeing how it took multiple minutes before what was going on to reach the back of the class was fucking hilarious. That was over a decade ago and I am still amused thinking about it
One of my college biology professors kinda did something similar. He started talking about this tiny island they’d found where after nuclear bomb testing the animals developed a joint in their noses which allowed them to use it as a spring to propel themselves forwards. Won’t mention how many notes I took before realizing a. Wasn’t anatomically feasible and b. It was April Fools. Some folks left the classroom still talking about these animals and how they were going to tell friends/ family. 😂
@liad3 honestly that story sounds like something some my college biology professors would do. And I would have probably believed them for way too long xD
6:34 as a former bridal associate for a dress shop, yes a wedding gown should be ordered at the minimum of 9 months out. 6 mo for the dress to be made and 2-3 for alterations. Shortest I ever could do was 4 months and that was from one designer with a few designs in this category. All very basic gowns that can be made quickly. Little to no beading/applicae lace, zipper back, short or no train. Usually I'd have to dress it up with accessories for the bride to say yes and love it. You'd be surprised what a crystal belt and the perfect veil and jewelry can do to a basic gown😊. But 100% that mil knew what she was doing. That was absolutely planned. Horrible.
I was so fortunate (short engagement, so only had five months to find my dress) to find the perfect dress in a second hand shop that needed no alterations. :) Loved reading your input and I love seeing the work you do in your field and how you advise and accessorize!
2. Story: I would bet money that OP and son are well off, or at least stable, financially. Granny learned about that, somehow. And that's why she decided to pay them a visit.
I suspect Granny raised her daughter to be just like herself and is finding out she needs another meal ticket in her old age. Trouble is, you can't expect people you abandoned to have much sympathy.
I don't know why people on the Internet so often make totally baseless assumptions. It's useless. We don't know *anything* about the situation (apart from Granny being a POS).
I wonder what the "grandmother's" relationship with her daughter is like now. Maybe the daughter realized how much of a manipulative garbage sack she is and cut off ties also. And that's why she's now bothering grandson.
We need to normalize NOT INVITING CRAZY FAMILY MEMBERS TO WEDDINGS ANYMORE!!! 👏👏👏 CREW THE "PEACE"! *Peace was never an option for them to begin with.* 48:40 Also, I think those Christian in-laws just experienced their first awakening 😂 Not so bad now, is it, in-laws? XD Edit: OH MY GOSH!!! 🤣🤣🤣
A coworker was not invited to his daughter's wedding. He never had any part in raising any of his children, by I-don't-know-many women, but was calling everyone he knew trying to find out where the wedding was going to be. No one told him. I was so glad. (I don't know any of his family, but knowing him, they were almost certainly in the right.
This. If my partner and I get married it's gonna be a pretty small wedding. In terms of family it would be my sister, two of my cousins, one of her cousins, and their partners, and then just friends, no one else. We absolutely will hire a bouncer if we have to. At the very least no spawn points will be invited.
From a fellow swedish-fish, your videos have been such a huge comfort in my life. My mother is pretty toxic and I’m still a minor so I just have to deal with it. Your videos are one of reasons I’m still alive. Thank you❤
Hugs from a random Click fan! Wild fact, when we're younger time seems to pass much more slowly than when you get into your 20s and 30s. One bad day can feel like forever. I'm here to tell you it'll start going by fast once you get your own life and she's out of it, so just hang on and be awesome and don't let it defeat you. You got this life. ♡
So sorry to hear that, hope you are able to make some money (1. so you can get away from them, and 2. If you have a good savings account you can move out early
Take care and stay strong. You will not stay a minor forever. You will be able to get away and find freedom from the toxicity. It's not easy, but it's possible. We're all wishing you the best.
@pur3chao56 No, I was making a dumb joke. Click couldn't remember the term veil, so I was pretending I couldn't remember the term veiled threat. Edit: Not sure why the tag of your name disappeared when I submitted.
My BIL got married a while back and my new SIL is gluten and lactose intolerant. We all (MIL included) do our best to make sure there is food available that is safe for her to eat. I once asked MIL if I could have some of the lactose-free ice cream from the freezer (I am lactose intolerant) and she said, "No, it's for SIL." So I just shrugged and bought my own. Later, when I was eating it, MIL saw me and said, "No! The lactose free ice cream is for SIL!" I just said, "Don't worry, I bought my own, since I am lactose intolerant as well." The look on her face. 😂 Thing is, I've been married to her son for almost 15 years, and I though she knew I was lactose intolerant? I always decline dairy products because most of the time I can't be bothered to make sure I have my pills on hand. Anyway, in most ways, my MIL is great.
I can never get the logic of stealing attention at someone else's wedding by purposely wearing a bride's dress, like..... Do you think you'll get positive attention? No one will like you or talk to you after that, also the second story makes me grateful for my lovely 91 year old granny, she can get moody but when my parents divorced, she was thre to help us all the way through, grandparents are essential for a child too as a safety net, wisdom passers and occasional parents. and it's unfortunate that the 25 yo son has such an entitled narcy grandma
Yeah don’t get it either, how do they think anyone else there won’t see you’re trying to be the bride and centre of attention and be repulsed, especially if/when the actual bride is distraught
You're coming at this problem from a rational standpoint. It has been my experience that logic and rationality has no place in such matters. People who deliberately wear white or red to a wedding? Especially the ones who wear full-on wedding dresses? They do it with the full confidence that 1) The bride's day will be ruined no matter what, and that's what matters the most. 2) Their people, the people who matter to them, aka family and friends, will have gotten used to her antics, and they will dismiss it as just "this is how she is", and tell the upset bride and groom to "just let it go". I kid you not, these people have trained their family and friends so well (all in the name of peace in the family and family reputation) that they can and will attend a wedding in a wedding dress and the family and friends will berate the bride and groom if they dare be upset. And so usually these attention seekers are right in their assumptions that they will get away with it.
Years ago, I was best man for my friends' wedding. Groom has been my best friend since 7th grade and still is; we're in our 50s. His mother was overly worried, read obsessed, that my long hair would distract all the guests. Fortunately, I only learned of this years later, or I might have dyed my hair purple and white- to match the wedding colors!
My friend was in the similar situation as the single father with the 25yr son but my friend's kids were 13yr olds (1 boy, 1 girl). They were very small/sick when they were born so mum decided she didn't want "sick kids" and off she went, leaving my friend with two "clinging to life" babies. The kids are AMAZING now and both very much into music. Boy is classical piano, girl is having fun singing, worship band, local things. Grandma visits once for a couple of days every summer. So the kids did grow up with a 'sort of' grandmother who became only mildly interested in them when they were 4 or 5. One year, same day as boy's recital, there were auditions for a local production and it was an all-day thing with eliminations. Dad could only go to one and through coin tosses or something it was determined that he went to boy's recital. I was at girl's function but working riot squad with very little kids in the back so couldn't watch. Well grandma came to see it. It was a long day but there were breaks and girl made it to the finals. Grandma came to stage door as girl was going out, only one of two kids left and said "Grandma's back is sore from sitting, I'm going to go now. Good luck." There was only one more song! I told the other attendants "I gotta' go and sit out there for her." but saw that the dad HAD made it, was going to sit in the stands but saw Grandma leaving so managed to get to the seat reserved for family. Girl hasn't spoken to grandma since. (She's 16 now.)
Good on you for being there to help support your friend with his kids!! Before I became the mom of 3 of my own bio kids, I was a support person to 2 friends of mine who were single parents...I loved it! It gave me skills for raising my own children. I went on to become a "block mom" of sorts, with kids of various ages & backgrounds joining us at the dinner table for many years. So fulfilling imo. How nice you were able to be there for someone to take a little stress out of a situation. Hope all is well :)
@@nisaba5752 They make it easy LOL. They're a blast, I'm so lucky. They DO have fantastic grandparents on their dad's side and lots of uncles and cousins. All went well. She came in second and won some cool prizes. Season tickets to our big live theatre, swim passes...and she won a certificate at a hair salon. Because she was so sick when she was born (weighed just a pound), all the medicines and such that saved her life destroyed her hair so she couldn't go for a 'do' but they made her a little bandana thing with a real hair ponytail sticking out.
On the one hand, I have chronic pain and absolutely understand having to leave abruptly because I'm in pain, even in situations where it's rude. (I try my best to explain and apologize, but it's not always enough.) On the other hand, there was just one more song! That sucks, man.
@@cheddarcheezit2647 Yeah, she drives for 2 days to come see the kids with no problem, she doesn't have a hard time. Even if she did, the seat was saved for her, she could have gotten up at the end of every round and stretched until it was time to attend again. Coincidence that Girl's final song was "This is Me"? I don't think so.
Watching this while nursing my six week old baby. The idea of MIL doing that during such a traumatic and exhausting time is terrifying. Post birth is the biggest change in hormones anyone experiences, plus you have a tiny human that is suddenly your whole world, plus all the pain, bleeding etc. That anyone could put her through that is absolutely horrific. I hope MIL gets what's coming to her, and OP can heal.
The midwives where I gave birth were angels. I told them of my issues surrounding my parents visiting, and they said they're very happy to, and have definitely done so, lie to any visitors about visiting hours. Or to say that they can't have people visiting right now, and take any backlash for that themselves. So wonderful to have them on my side. In any case if some unexpected woman showed up at 3am after a traumatic birth, they'd tell her to shove it lol
Fr. Even in non birth related things you can tell the hospital not to let people in to visit you. I did it when I was having surgery because my spawn points had "forbidden" me from having a hysterectomy (I was in my mid 20s, that worked exactly as well as you'd expect). I simply told the hospital that the only person who was allowed in to visit me was my partner who was already with me and not to even confirm I was a patient if anyone showed up.
@@Unicorn.RainbowFarts same. My sperm donors mother was horrible. So much BS. Though I'll never forget the look on her face when I, unknowingly, called her bluff when she threatened to call my parents to send me home since I refused to "obey" her (aka I didn't ask permission to use the bathroom...at 13), only for me to call my parents (I mean it was her idea), and learn they were out of the country and literally couldn't pick me up. 😂
As an EKG technician I just want to say how proud I was went you pronounced echocardiography! I literally let out an audible gasp. It's a really hard word even for native English speakers. 🥰
@@ek0dev Yeah! You for sure thought you knew exactly where the story was going, given the theme of the video and how the story started... And in the beginning, every update made it seem like it was slowly going in the predictable direction, but then it became a binding moment instead!? Was incredible!
With the first story, honestly I can't believe the husband didn't do anything to reel in his mom. If my parents pulled a stunt like this at me and my wife's wedding, I'd show them the door personally. But my parents aren't that kind of people, thank heck.
Yeah, after the food story at Thanksgiving, I probably would’ve just told my parents if they can’t respect my partner they’re no longer allowed around us. I don’t get people who just let their parents disrespect their partners.
I wouldn't allow my parents to do that either, but I also get why others might since a lot of human behaviour can be conditioned into you especially by your parents. These kinds of parents likely drilled into their children that they're the absolute authority over their lives, and so even as an adult they can't fully stand up against them since perception is stronger than reality in such cases. If they believe they can't standup against their parents, then they won't do it until they reach whatever breaking point it takes to give them a realization. Therapy in such cases is often necessary.
That first one reminds me of my own grandmother/my moms mother in law. My mom and I are Jewish, we don’t eat pork, and somehow every time we went over to grandmas house there was always pork in everything
My grandparents lived on the other side of an ocean. And aside from regular calls, I saw them once a year growing up- one year we would visit them, the next they would visit us, and so on. Eventually they got too old for such intensive traveling, but I moved over there for university. They make sure to invite me over to dinner at least once a week. If that grandma wanted to, she would have
Contracts on having grandparents with contact all your life, and NOT only showing up to be like "We old please take care of us" But get you mean if the grandma wanted make some contact she could've, but also she had 25 years to do so and when she did it seems to have someone take care of her in her old age. But unless the argument to be made that the story is a bit over the top or cut down for the shake of telling this in the shortest way, how could anyone be willing to start with a relationship with a parent or grandparent that isn't there all your life just to be like "hey I sort of Want something from you". at best it's difficult at worst you don't want be with anyone like that or at least mentally.
25:20 And what, exactly, did she expect to happen when another patrol car *_FROM THE SAME STATION THAT OP WORKS AT_* show up? Did she think his own co-workers were going to side with her when there's a crack in the windshield of OP's patrol car and both officers are saying she the one who a rock at them?
Some people are just brainless. At work I had someone accuse me of uh "inappropriately entering a child" (I hate having to use euphemisms) because I corrected said child (who was completely unrelated to said adult) on the pronouns of a *cis* co-worker. It was basically Child- _points at co-worker_ What's her name? Me- His name is George (made up name, don't remember) Karen- OMG YOU CHILD MOLESTER, STOP R**ING THAT CHILD!!!!!!! _STARTS GRAPHICALLY DESCRIBING BUTT STUFF_ Like 30 seconds later the cops come SPRINTING onto the pool deck (yes, literally 30 seconds, no idea who called the cops but the police station was literally next door) while she's still screaming graphic details. A few seconds later she finally noticed the cops, and instantly became thrilled they showed up that fast to arrest me. 🤦 Yeah, they weren't there to do anything to me. Especially seeing as both the child and I were fully clothed, I don't have the necessary organ to do what she was claiming I was doing, and she was literally SCREAMING the word an@l when they came on deck. They gave her two options- leave with them voluntarily and be trespassed, or get shiny new bracelets and be trespassed. She took the first option.
My ex's current mistress calls me "the Duchess", i guess to imply that she thinks I'm a snob. Sorry bby it's awesome and I'll be Duchess loud and proud
Good for both the young man & his dad to tell MIL off. Kids don't ask to be born & if you aren't there for them, then you shouldn't expect them to just drop everything to help you in your old age. Especially after abandoning them for 25 years. Plus, even if you are there for them, that still doesn't mean they're obligated to help you, but rather being there for them usually means that they're more likely to help you when your elderly if they can. The MIL just wants to act entitled to being in her grandkid's life purely because she wants him to take care of her & that is not okay
I saw one story where MIL showed up in a wedding dress. The photographer turned the dress blue in every. single. photo. red wine on the dress is classic, though. mvp right there!
OMg the story with the single dad and his son ... I was abandoned by my mom and was raised by my dad as well I can't fathom how he must have felt, the fact he wasn't shaking with rage is a huge sign he was raised to be a good man cause I would have told that hag to keys because in my mind they were already dead
That's last story was such a palette cleanser!!!! I literally shouted out loud: "Finally! A functional family" how much of a 180 of a story it was!!!! I'm sure it was a premeditated decision t0 have it as the last story but goddamn it I didn't know how much I needed a nice, heartwarming and wholesome story until that very last one~
Click read a story a while ago where an estranged mother saw her daughter at a shop holding a friends baby. The mother sued her childless daughter for grandparents rights because she saw her holding a baby. 🙇♂️🤦♀️🙇♂️🤦♀️
Emotional rollercoaster today. I have abandonment issues so that one hit me hard, I got so angry at that entitled grandmother. But that last story ended up super wholesome, I hope they manage to continue that good vibe in the future

As someone raised by a single father that MIL arguing that she and her daughter were too young to be present for the son and then insulted the father's parenting made steam come out of my ears.
I had my daughter when I was a teen. I have not only been present in her life but she has special needs so I've been caring for her all of her soon to be 25 years. That is not a flex. You have a child, you are a parent for life. The least a parent can do is be present.
zero dislikes! click has peaked! Edit: about 1/3 through the viddy now, and jesus christ, that "mother in law." a random quote just popped into my head as well; "they didnt want to come here, its up to you to make them want to stay here."
as someone with an estranged father that i haven't seen or talked to in like 8 years, i cannot even imagine how i would react if my grandmother from his side (whom i haven't seen over 10 years) just suddenly showed up on my doorstep. but damn, i have never seen a reddit story i can relate to that well.
OP in that one was a real friend and tbh someone I would want in my bridal party. Full permission to "accidentally" spill red wine one someone's white or inappropriate dress
First thing I thought of with the mother-in-law showing up in a wedding dress is someone needs to "accidentally" spill a full glass of red wine all over it before anything starts. Hey, tripping over your own clumsy feet as you walk next to someone happens and dumping your very staining beverage all over them happens. 🤷♂
I was 22 when i had my daughter, my son when i was 27. Yes, i was young, and i was lucky that my mother helped me, coming to stay with me and looking after them. I was able to get my degree, and find work as a teacher. Yes, i was young, but i lived my life, and they lived their lives too, to the full. They are both in their 40s now, my daughter has her own children. My daughter and i live on the same street, and my son (and his partner) live within an easy walk from us.
Idk what about this video gives me such a cozy vibe. Maybe the lighting? Click's "too cozy to do anything about it" beard? The slight "late afternoon" face Click has today? I don't know, you seem so cozy today. Like if you were lazily sitting in front of a fireplace with a book in hand, enjoying your afternoon with a cup of hot tea. You look more natural than usual, if you get what I mean.
The minute the cop's captain said 'let's look at the bodycam' I knew she was gonna end up with more charges. She basically ensured she was gonna get an assault charge for spitting, as well as resisting arrest.
I mean, you CAN buy a dress off the rack, or eBay, etc. And find a local alterations shop. But she still had to have planned this. It wasn't a "this is all that's in my closet" situation.
None of us are finished with the video yet (unless you didn’t watch fully) and I feel nice to know other people are doing the same action as me all around the world

When Click started reading about the MIL attacking the policeman son-in-law I just tensed and said "Oh no, don't read this one." I'm so glad he didn't follow the links to more of the posts from that profile. It goes so, so far beyond funny antics, it's a well known story for how **horrible** it is.
@jamester3484 It's been years so maybe it's not still up, but yeah at some point she literally set their home on fire to attempt to k!11 them. It's horrifying.
6:22, Joke's on her b/c there are Jewish wedding traditions based on swapping brides in the Torah. (Specifically, a veil must be removed before the wedding commences b/c Laban switched Jacob's brides. I have heard of this being done in pantomime at weddings where the wrong daughter is uncovered and rejected before the proper bride comes out. Mrs "no Jewish representation without Christian representation" just added a touch of Torah Study to the proceedings.)
I legit cried about the woman abandoning her newborn infant. I'm due to have my second baby in the spring, and I could never EVER ever abandon either of my children, ESPECIALLY NOT A BABY THAT'S A COUPLE DAYS OLD!!! NOT WHEN A BABY IS AT THEIR MOST VULNERABLE!!! That "mother" really is a jerk, and it looks like she got that attitude from her own mother. Truly, some people just should not have children or grandchildren.
How is putting a kid up for adoption not abandonment, but leaving the child with their father abandonment? She didn't abandon her child - she left. It would have been better if she'd had the realisation that she wasn't ready to have a child before carrying the baby to term, obviously, but with how heavily motherhood is pushed in society she might have been hoping she'd feel that "motherly love" once the child was born (which clearly didn't happen). What would you rather she do at that point? The child would have be SERIOUSLY messed up living in a household where one of the parents obviously does not care for them.
@@SolKaras I don't know if kids that were adopted see themselves as abandoned. I just don't see a woman either picking a family to take care of her child ahead of time or a woman leaving a child in a safe haven on the same level as a woman leaving her husband and newborn without any warning or discussion.
I have no doubt in my mind that the Grandmother was ostracized by her daughter’s new family as well. That kind of mindset really puts a damper on how much people are willing to put up with.
What a video to run across after getting married and my mother-in-law being a butthole and making it about herself for no reason (EDIT: even after my husband has called her out on her behavior numerous times and tried to set up boundaries with her, she still does it anyway. This is how I lost the title of “My Parent’s Most Gullible Child!🎉🏆🏅” I always wondered why my sister-in-laws had animosity towards me. I only learned in the past year that you shouldn’t wear white to a wedding, much less white lace… a fact I only learned decades later. Being an overly obedient child I went with what mom bought me. I was watching one of your videos and later saw one of the wedding pictures, then apologized within twenty-four hours. My sister-in-laws still don’t like me, but to be fair I earned it, even if I didn’t know why at the time. I’ve learned so much while laughing, or cringing along with each story. Thank you Click.

Bro I was crying because I was getting ready to go to my cousin’s wedding and I was gonna wear a fluffy white skirt to change into after the ceremony. And my sister screeched at me asking why I was wearing white, and I said “Uh it’s just a skirt, it’s not a dress, and I obviously am not the bride??” And after I was done crying, I refresh my TH-cam and I see this juicy video 16 seconds after it was posted and that first story cheered me up. Thanks Cliccy Wiccy❤
Ur sister just seems like she’s a very nervous person and that can come out in anger it’s pretty common but she just doesn’t want you getting in trouble or shunned :)
im pretty sure its fine if you're changing into it after the ceremony. i've only ever worn suits (and on one occasion a pink pleather mini skirt) but it definitely seems fine if you're not wearing it until after your cousin's married
don't wear white to a wedding you aren't the bride at, unless they have made clear that their dress code is okay with it. not a skirt, not a dress, not at all.
In general, you're not supposed to wear white at any period of the wedding day if you aren't the bride. Doesn't matter if it's just a skirt or not. The only exception to that is if the bride herself is okay with it. Screaming at you about it was definitely unnecessary, especially if this is new information to you. I think just gently letting you know it's not okay and asking for you to pick something else, or asking the bride if she's okay with it would have been a lot better of an approach.

@silverthehero1295 I read a story where the bride wore a black dress and everyone else wore white, I think for similar MIL damage control reasons 😂

I don't know if I'd laugh in her face or deck her when she said that "grandkids are obligated to take care of their grandparents". Probably both tbh.
I'm inappropriately happy in the knowledge that if she was going to the OP for him to take care of her in her old age it means literally every other member of the family, her daughter included, has already decided they have had enough of her twisted nonsense to be grasping at that 25 year old straw.

The "blood is thicker than water" people conveniently forget how the full saying goes and what it actually means. It goes as follows: “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb.” Which basically means the bonds we choose to make are more important than those that were sort of forced upon you.
“Rules for thee, but not for me.” type stuff.
This as "the customer is always right" energy.
What is it with those types of saying, being twisted by the most selfish people.

Considering that she said something about money at first, which the OP ignored meaning that it's likley happener multiple times. I would guess that it's either money for gambling or money for drugs, which I would also point out people on drugs or on withdrawls from them always make stupid choices and are also weirdly powerful.

That grandmother is insane. I was raised by my Gramma ((as was my older half brother too)), and she didn't waste any time getting custody of me when she found out I was in the foster system. She took the time to get a foster license to get me before she could go through with the adoption process.

🌹For your Gramma.
Well, since the daughter was 24 when she had her son, I'd assume the grandmother was at least 42-43? So a couple years older than your grandmother was when you were born. No excuse.
Also for your wonderful gramma 🌹
Her daughter was 24 so she was about 35 at the absolute youngest that is physiologically possible, or 40 at the youngest that is legally possible. But that's assuming the story actually happened, which I'm 99% sure it didn't.

The lactose free ice cream is for SIL!" I just said, "Don't worry, I bought my own, since I am lactose intolerant as well." I can never get the logic of stealing attention at someone else's wedding by purposely wearing a bride's dress, like.....
For a narcissist negative attention is valid too. They don't really care about/understand the difference.

On the one hand, I have chronic pain and absolutely understand having to leave abruptly because I'm in pain, even in situations where it's rude. (I try my best to explain and apologize, but it's not always enough.)
On the other hand, there was just one more song!

Thank you. I have a narcissistic grandmother that helped give me childhood trauma. I need this in my life.
As the prophecies have foretold, he really made an insane mother-in-laws video.
As an EKG technician I just want to say how proud I was went you pronounced echocardiography! I literally let out an audible gasp. It's a really hard word even for native English speakers. 🥰
Fr. Then again I had someone ask me what it stood for, only to immediately call me an idiot "because cardio doesn't start with K" 🤦
@waffles3629 yeah the reason it uses a k if I remember correctly is because the man who invented it was German. But don't quote me on that.
49:00 Damn! This story had so many twists and turns and then it ended surprisingly wholesome! Did not expect that, but very happy for that family!
IKR !!!! so wholesomeeeee
glad we ended with something positive cuz damn that video was sad
@A_Gremlin_Child Yeah, it was the perfect way to end the video!!
"Had us in the first half, not gonna lie."
That one was absolutely the best post in the video every second of it was crazy and somehow not terrible
IKR? Never marry a mama's boy.
Therapy in such cases is often necessary.
thanks for cheering me up dude. im sick rn and this is great

if you dont mind me asking is it serious or like just a cold?
Get well soon
@imani-n3q it's either allergies or the flu, not sure, but I think it's most likely not serious
If that grandma wanted to, she would have
Contracts on having grandparents with contact all your life, and NOT only showing up to be like "We old please take care of us"
But get you mean if the grandma wanted make some contact she could've, but also she had 25 years to do so and when she did it seems to have someone take care of her in her old age.
It was basically
Child- _points at co-worker_ What's her name?
Me- His name is George (made up name, don't remember)
Karen- OMG YOU CHILD MOLESTER, STOP R**ING THAT CHILD!!!!!!! _STARTS GRAPHICALLY DESCRIBING BUTT STUFF_
Like 30 seconds later the cops come SPRINTING onto the pool deck (yes, literally 30 seconds, no idea who called the cops but the police station was literally next door) while she's still screaming graphic details.

That pole dancing one made me so happy I was smiling ear to ear while I worked, we need more wholesomeness like this thrown in.
"If someone nasty gave you a nasty nickname, you can wear it with pride" is literally how me and my wife deal with my family not liking wifey lol
Mother in law stories are always welcome! Thanks Click 🥰
There are definitely insane Grandparents. Usually the Grandmother trying to assert “their rights” over the new babies.
Click read a story a while ago where an estranged mother saw her daughter at a shop holding a friends baby. The mother sued her childless daughter for grandparents rights because she saw her holding a baby. 🙇♂️🤦♀️🙇♂️🤦♀️
Sorry but that last post makes me so happy! Just the family warming up to them and the FIL and son having a pole dance competition made me smile :)

I love how everyone seems to only talk about "family" when they want something. 😢
as someone with an estranged father that i haven't seen or talked to in like 8 years, i cannot even imagine how i would react if my grandmother from his side (whom i haven't seen over 10 years) just suddenly showed up on my doorstep. but damn, i have never seen a reddit story i can relate to that well.
6:55 where is the bottle of red wine and bowl of chocolate sauce when needed ?
Real
Spoiler alert…
OP in that one was a real friend and tbh someone I would want in my bridal party. Full permission to "accidentally" spill red wine one someone's white or inappropriate dress
0:05 to 0:15 is me in history when I quite literally mumbled the answer to the question in front of my entire class
I am waiting in the wings with the caterers with a bowl full of chocolate cake pudding just to add to it.
The pole story had me saying “keep it” to myself only to be elated when they actually kept it in the room 😂
Wedding dresses can take 6-9 months to come in so she had this planned at least a half a year in advanced
I mean, you CAN buy a dress off the rack, or eBay, etc. And find a local alterations shop. But she still had to have planned this. It wasn't a "this is all that's in my closet" situation.
@ True, depending on her size she could have gotten it off the rack

The poeticness of the intro is so moving it’s making me tear up…
Click, the police officer's mil is an entire saga and every story is more unhinged. That's like part 4 ish
When Click started reading about the MIL attacking the policeman son-in-law I just tensed and said "Oh no, don't read this one." I'm so glad he didn't follow the links to more of the posts from that profile. It goes so, so far beyond funny antics, it's a well known story for how **horrible** it is.
I only saw one update after that. Is there more?

The ride or die friend in the wedding story made me happy. What a legend
3 am here. Me diving in a depressed phase again, but here is Click and his awesome community, the light on the horizon. Thank you ❤
I legit cried about the woman abandoning her newborn infant.
Do you feel the same way about people who give kids up for adoption?
@@cynister7384 Of course not. The child is being given to another family in adoption, not being abandoned. It's a very different situation.
@amberdawn868 Okay, thanks for answering.
I love the last story, it sounds like they were actually trying to be decent human beings. I'm all for people trying to be decent to each other

The last story was pretty wholesome. It's nice to see, that no matter what age, we can all learn and change
17:35, different pov but this is the best situation, my mother gave birth to me quite young and never once did a day go by where she wouldnt stop saying I ruined her life, career, future, dude sounds like he has a great dad, a kid is better off with one amazing supportive parent than two crappy ones that always fight,
Bro I was crying because I was getting ready to go to my cousin’s wedding and I was gonna wear a fluffy white skirt to change into after the ceremony. And my sister screeched at me asking why I was wearing white, and I said “Uh it’s just a skirt, it’s not a dress, and I obviously am not the bride??”
And after I was done crying, I refresh my TH-cam and I see this juicy video 16 seconds after it was posted and that first story cheered me up.
It's insane how so many people could avoid so much trouble if they just, behaved in a rational manner for like, a minute.
