One of my favorite prog rock musicians - JT = progressive rock he's kinda like a Shakespearian actor on stage - makes for a nice visual adjunct to the entertainment I've loved the drummers over the years - Clive was a powerhouse - maybe a little rough around the edges but a ball of energy and quintessential rock drummer Barlow was more refined, more of a technician and was presented with more progressively orchestrated material and Mark Craney's short stint showed what a fantastic kit player he was My God, to me, encapsulates what Tull is and does - great groove in 6/8 (elusive to the point of mystery) utilizing classical piano, flamenco guitar, choir, flute and some powerful guitar rock riffs supporting great, insightful lyrics.
Ian would go on WNEW-FM NEW YORK to promote a new album or an upcoming tour and be interviewed by Scott Muni who began as a AM top 40 disc jockey in the 50's .
