I was expecting a _Tavern Brawler_ build focusing on using improvised weapons, but honestly to get that same flavour (pun intended) you could easily reskin various weapons - a saucepan is a warhammer, a kitchen knife is a dagger, a cleaver is a battleaxe, etc.
I feel like the frying pan fighter has kinda been done before, and while i was researching for this video, I found this combo and realized i need to talk about the super snackos
Battlemaster fighter, necromancy wizard, life cleric, with vigor of the hill giant, remarkable recovery and chef. There's a lot going on here but it COULD possibly work...
how does remarkable recovery synergize if your other feats aren’t class feats, spells, or potions specifically? lenient dm’s may allow it, but what if they’re rules as written? I mean this in the sense that feats taken and features you get by leveling in a class are typically seen as two different things
I agree with you cause the wording of the feat does get kinda weird. However, in the last line of the feat for remarkable recovery, it says that whenever we regain HP from a class feature, (but then chooses to parenthesize that it’s not referring to this feat specifically) we regain additional hit points equal to our con mod. This feat is recognizing OTHER feats as class features and through their choice of wording here. Other DMs might not rule it based on their take, but it seems pretty clear to me that the feat is referencing the potential of other feats being included in the healing pool
@@smilesschemes Mmmmaybe. I’m not gonna knock anyone who would try it, but the wording is really hazy at best in recognizing them as the same thing. That and while some backgrounds give feats clearly, i’ve never seen any dmg or phb or otherwise text that says you can OR can’t do it. It just puts them in different chapters. Then again, i guess anything goes, since they had cooks utensils, but nothing until heliana’s guide “”officially”” put anything for it as a clear game function. The parenthesis is an interesting addition though
Yeah, third party feats are a smidge weird... The taldorei books this comes from is recognized and sold by Wizards to my knowledge, but the wording of some of this material is a bit hazy. Granted, the wording to a lot of other abilities is still pretty dang hazy a lot of the time.
I am thinking this would be an Asian Cook caster: 12DSSorc/4LifeCleric/4GrasslandDruid. Worshipping a God of Nurishment. Uses Unseen servant as a sous chef, Familiar for item procurement, chef feat, Adamantine wok, Lifeberries, Aid, Heroes Feast, Magnificent Mansion, Summon Steed. I imagine him like a celebrity chef that cooks for the Archfey or minor deities. Lots of parties, cooking competitions, and extravagance.

Just to throw it out there; three level dip into Warlock for Pact of the Chain + Gift of the Ever Living ones = maximum value of hit die healing.
