According to the Grove dictionary of music, there are alternative instrumentations available for this piece, and one of the alternatives is what you see in the video.
Of course the guitar is the original instrument: in part of this serenade Hummel got Mauro Giuliani original music from op 7 (theme and last variation) and a "dance" from "14 balli nazionali and 3 marce". They played togheter at Schonbrunn castle!
