Most likely manuals were donors from a later hammond for the midi project ….. maybe defoamed by the previous tech. I just don’t get the time and money put into the midi add as well as the other mods on an A102 of all Hammonds?!
I found this to be difficult to understand myself but perhaps someone already owned the organ and wanted to make it extra special. One might think it better to install all these extras into a B3 to justify the costs involved. Maybe we will never find out why it was done so the only thing that really matters is that it WAS done and the extras are FREE to the new owner when that person is found. AND if that person really has an appreciation for the French Provincial style, then all the better!
