This is one of my favorite kirtanas so I was happy to watch it. The uniqueness of the kirtana is the description of Siva by a vaishnava which is not very often:( And in a raga that is more popular in hindustani classical as a night time raga with a soothing effect. The costume and temple location was apt. I really like the beginning of your dance that really set the stage. I thought you were really original in the interludes with just the music in a fast beat. You were also really good in following the key descriptors pinaka, ganga jala, neelakanta, and so on. You certainly had a vibrant pace and some brilliant choreography during the song itself which I really enjoyed. I was wondering - for those looking for soothing effect - what if you followed a slower pace by emphasizing only the main beat that comes at appox 1.25 seconds and relegated subdued movements for the sub-beats in between? Your opinion?
Actually this was choreographed by my dance guru.
