They are the worst company to order anything from. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and Animal Control/Humane Society of Southern Arizona due to what I went through with them with my mudskipper.

AZ gardens has lots of bad reviews, many say that the staff won’t pick up the phone and when they do, they are very rude. I would try AquariumFish.Net.

VampiricDarkDragon When they sent me the wrong fish and I didn’t have a tank I could put them it, they told me to just flush them. Every single thing in the order was wrong, and they cussed me out for trying to find out what happened. AAG sucks and should be out of business and all of their staff should be in jail. I had to go through my card to get my money back, and they harassed and threatened me the whole time. They bank said their actions were more than enough to warrant a full refund.

I am so sorry for all the trouble you had but thank you for posting about it. I was planning to order from these guys in a month or two. You just saved me a lot of hassle and disappointment. Like a lot of other people I was drawn in by their inventory of fish I can't find anywhere else. I'm wondering now if they even have those hard to find fish. Maybe it's a bait and switch. Any way I'll take my business elsewhere or just do without.

Wetspot has quite a few negative feedbacks on Aquabid, and their prices with shipping are high. Just my observation.
Me and my husband had a bad experience as well. We ordered a peacock bass from them and the fish was doa. So of course we called....and called...and called...and called. So we texted the number and sent the pic of the fish and everything and never got a reply. So we called again, finally somebody answered. They told us they wouldn’t refund us but could send us a new fish paid for and all we’d have to do is pay for shipping....okay so the fish itself is like 12 bucks maybe. Shipping was around $70. We basically just said never mind and went thru North Carolina Biology and paid for 3 largemouth bass and they sent an EXTRA 2 free. They don’t sell a whole lot of different fish but our bass are happy and healthy!
That sucks...but I'll have to check out NC Biology, I'm really getting attracted to native fish
Just think if they sold aquariums and someone ordered a 10g but received a 100g😂

I am in process of setting up my aquarium and have shopped many websites for fish. I will definitely remove the bookmark for AZAQ.
The funny thing about this review is, I've never had an issue with azgardens, and I've been ordering from them for years, now I will say their customer service does suck, but never had an issue with them not sending me the right order. I've had some doa's but this is surprising, I'm gonna email the owner because I've been dealing with them for about 15 years
I'm gonna email him and hopefully he can do something to turn this around, because the prices are good and they get a lot of good stuff

sounds like a shady scamming company. Good to know. I will never buy from them and will go out of my way to prevent anyone else I know from doing the same.
Preston and Henry from Aquatic Arts are amazing. I recently placed an order with them and UPS apparently was really rough with the box and all 10 of my fish had beeen cut in half inside the bag. I don't know what UPS did to the box but it was awful. I emailed Aquatic Arts with the picture of the fish and they responded back to me really fast and gave me several options to choose from and less than three days I had my new order completely replaced free of charge. They were absolutely fantastic to deal with. If you want to order fish online I can't recommend them enough. They truly stand behind their policies and have amazing customer service.
AquaticArts is awesome. I simply cannot recommend them enough. Their customer service is on point. Only time I didn't get what I ordered was when they cancelled it because the stock they had was questionable and they didn't feel comfortable shipping it out. But they are an awesome outfit.
Aquatic Arts has great customer service. My only small issues with was they oversold an item and couldn’t deliver twice. They were very apologetic and took care of the problem. My survival rate from their orders is almost 100% across many orders of shrimp, snails, fish, and crabs.

Frank & Frankie(Apistogrammas) in my bedroom tanks if you ever saw my videos are from AquaticArts. The fry I have growing right now are from a female apistogramma from them as well.

I've had a bad experience with AZGardens also. After doing some digging I found out the guy is running it out of his garage. If you don't specify "no subs" you will get wrong fish. A lot of the fish I got were emaciated and unhealthy. He charges $9 for a Styrofoam box so he's making money there. Then, in my case, he charged and enormous amount for express overnight shipping that took two days to get to me. Because he really sent it 2nd day air. So he really cleaned up on the shipping. My order had dead fish, missing fish and wrong fish even though I specified "no subs". I tried to contact him and he never responded to emails and his voice mail was full. Thankfully I used PayPal so I got some of my money back.

Thanks for sharing. I must be lucky because all of the fish you ordered I can source from my LFS. If your going to order fish get them from people who are reputable from FB groups. I just had a delivery of a dozen Calvus from a guy who deals with higher end African Cichlids’s

I almost ordered a true red terror (Cichlasoma festae/Amphilophus festae) from them for my bichir tank, thank god I didn't, would've cost me $100 for the single fish all said and done, probably would've sold me a mayan that I could get from my lfs for $6

I've seen so many bad videos and stories about this company, and it's such a shame, to say the least. It seems like they have such a great selection and access to lots of species, but the treatment of both animals and customers is appalling. It boggles my mind how you could care so little about a business. It's like they want to run it to the ground. And if someone who cared took over, they'd have to work super, super hard to reverse all the negativity. And if you don't want to keep a company, why not sell it? Unless it's not possible somehow.
It should be possible to sell your company that you have no interest in...I think. Anyways till never buy from them again
I like your catfish. Is it a shovel nose? Those tinfoil barbs have worked out ok in the end. Strange how the universe works. Your new barbs look neat as well. Hopefully you get your kissing gourami as well.

It's very annoying when this happens & fish are not something you can just send back, plus they are often juvies when they arrive so there is an element of trust that they are what they say they are. If anyone from the UK is reading this please stay away from Cheshire Oaks Discus, fish arrived cold, leaking bags and shrunken bellies, last fish of a £150 order died today. Water parameters are good l am an experienced fish keeper they were just bad fish, l love researching the fish, but like you l didn't research the supplier, big mistake.
I would say that is definitely a Silver Datnoid, based on the number and width of the vertical bands. The Rhombo barbs aren't too bad to receive though I understand your disappointment that they aren't what you ordered (for the second time).

if you pay by paypal, you can demand money back no question asked and you will definitely get the money back. But to be honest, seems a lot of non sense from this seller ie stock can change within hours, give different phone number to call etc etc

You should place 1 more order but instead of the fish you ordered this time order the fish they sent see if they give you what you wanted in the 1st place.

You are absolutely right their website is amazing and all the selection!! But then to have service like this and zero knowledge of species not to mention the lack of customer service!!? I was literally about to order from this place and I think I'll pass....lol dude don't let them get away with this ,get your proper fish or refund? And let them know how terrible it is to send a living breathing animal and not even have enough sense to let the person know they are on their way? Sorry it didn't work out for you! You know now, and we know now not to do business with this incompetent online fish store!!

I doubt this. Just look up reviews of AZ Gardens. This is incredibly common, alongside DOA's and very late orders.

Maybe it's just me but it seems like the entire hobby has taken a whole nosedive. My local stores are terrible, buying online is a crapshoot, and craigslist is either a dead zone or they want more money than buying new. I can't even buy moss or worm cultures without it being a headache and a total loss of my time trying to argue to get what I paid for. It's like the hobby is chock full of importer middle-men anymore.

33 Acre Fish farm? Hmmmmm..... I wonder if they're understaffed/Unorganized. That big of a farm I could see staff mixing shipments easily especially if they're understaffed. They probably higher local high school kids to work there who don't know anything about fish. That's what most places do these days.

Yo man, I've just got into the hobby for about 6 months now and I'm ready to start trying American cichlids. Can I have them with the likes of yoyo loaches, barbs, angels, cories, gourami..etc I know I can't have them with tetras and smaller gouramis and dwarf chilcids. Ive been looking at firemouths, aracas, sevrums,convicts. What do you think? Anyone else that can answer pls do 😊

Smaller american cichlids like acara and firemouths can live with all of those fish you list, just make sure that the tetra are 2" and bigger. Severums will eat small fish and convicts can be very aggressive towards peaceful fish, geophagus dig which can effect rooted plants, but they don't eat plants

Do your self a favor and don’t order from them. Search their reviews up and it’s literally nothing but DOAs, missing orders, or mixed orders. I would MUCH rather buy from aquaticarts, imperial tropicals, petzonesd, or liveaquaria than them. Arizona gardens has a strong reputation of sending the wrong order

So far it only wants blood worms, it doesn't even take raw fish. I'm treating for parasites just in case that's the cause because its strange for catfish to be so picky

Earthworms are hard to find during the winter here...but maybe I can buy some from a bait shop and try

They are either scamming people or are just hiring the wrong people or maybe completely incompetent. Too many people in here saying the same stuff to prove otherwise. But I really hope they really aren't just scamming people, but I can see how easy in this hobby to do so. Offer big variety but only ship out similar more common fish out and hope no one notices or cares enough to fix or set it up to make it hard to fix by giving people the run around by not answering phones, emails or just completely not be able to talk to a live person and force you to talk cuts text only
