Enjoyed Ian purring sounds ,I had earphones on and it was so nice his purring. Enjoyed the knitting patterns . I’m enjoying your videos every day 😊 Thanks so much it’s like sitting down with a good friend .
I loved your little Scottie and your song. The things that made me happy today were realising that the cat had slept on my bed (he hardly ever does these days), I went for a walk in the rain with my granddaughter and saw a whole row of daffs and some celandines, looking at those patterns. Thankyou Paula for another lovely vlog. Xx
Getting those old patterns is a true gift and lovely looking through them. They brought back memories of my Mum knitting as she had sheaves of patterns but she must have given them away! Your painting is lovely Paula and you have a real talent!
Paula, Peter sure gave you treasure! That was fun to see. You paint as well as you sing……beautifully! I hope you enjoyed your soak in the tub. I like to close my eyes and listen to an audiobook while I’m soaking. It’s so relaxing. I’m glad you explained ‘black wind’ because I didn’t have a clue! ❤
Hi Paula How kind your friend was giving you his wife’s knitting patterns I certainly have had a few of those myself I remember littlewoods stores and the wool and patterns See you soon xx❤️❤️❤️❤️
A child waiting for a Teddy brought a little tear in my eyes and a smile in my heart. Thank you for sharing this precious moment. I'm with you regarding these treasures. Thank you for being a treasure in my life.
So lovely to catch up with you again. What a wonderful collection of knitting patterns you have received. Such a fun look through them with you. I hope you enjoyed your quiet bath. xx
Your little Wcottie painting is delightful. I hope you continue to enjoy the watercolour paints. I love old knitting patterns and how you can guess the era from the photos!
Hi Paula! You really should write and illustrate a children’s book about that cute dog you painted. Peter probably LOVES your visits. I loved looking at the old patterns! Thank you for vlogging! Oh! We are going to have wild wind tomorrow, too. The lacrosse games will be rough.
Your paintings are bloody brilliant and you can't half sing. You should do am dram. I'm so glad you are doing April vlogs. I look forward to seeing you guys everyday.
“Where’s the back legs” 😂😂😂 only you Paula 😊 I remember a lot of those patterns that my Mum had, always had handmade school jumpers, they were nice but they always stretched out too much, nowadays it would be very fashionable but back then they did not look cool! 🆒 1) being told I’m loved 2) spending time with you 3) enjoying a bath. Toddle PiP! I love that, people don’t really say that anymore! Hugs Suze. 🤗 x
That was very nostalgic looking at those patterns and I remember Littlewoods and Bellman’s that we had in the South. The wool and patterns from your neighbour have definitely gone to a good home 😊
Your Scottie painting is a nice feel good to see I know the feeling of coming in after a blustery dog walk big sigh & brush my hair it’s been a blustery windy week in Norwich & yesterday the clouds were ( as black as your fathers hat ) just managed not to get wet 👍
The patterns from Peter were interesting a real treasure trove, I sometimes do charity knitting and have made the bears you have the pattern of, sadly not crafting at the moment as ive broken my wrist so its nice to see your creations.😊 ?
Toodle pip oh that did make me feel happy and brought back so many happy times, it's a good old east Anglia saying, lovely to see all the knitting patterns I thought for a moment it was my knitting pattern box.Thank you for your things that have made one happy through the day, love that idea so going to start doing it and spread the word amongst my moaning friends 😅😅😅
I love watching your vlogs Paula. The knitted dog story made me laugh so much. I knitted a Paddington bear jumper for a 2 year old. The first intarsia pattern I had done, I was about 16. When I finished it , it looked like Paddington had all the life sucked out of him 😂😂 my mum cried with laughter !! I dodged intarsia for a while after that. I love you have a guard pup to, I have 2 springers who are mine, hubby calls them nosey neighbours, they lie on top of the couch guarding. You are such a talent, I love your watercolour. Black wind is a great description I’ll be using that one. Take care x
It was blowing a hoolie out there today 🏴 and I had just come in from walking my dogs, and sat down with a sandwich and a cup of tea to watch you, so I know what you mean! I recognise a lot of those children’s patterns. Did you notice that the price on some of them was in £.s.d. (Pounds, shillings, pence) old money pre-decimal. I noticed one was 6d (sixpence). I have a lot of those. They are treasure. You could always knit one of those 34inch jumpers in thicker wool and bigger needles to size up. (Unless it already was for thicker wool) 😬 Love the Westie on his cushion, and Lizzie’s troll is very good.
Oh I love all the knitting patterns! I have a lot like that myself that were my mom's. Brought with her from England when we emigrated here ❤ Lots of cardigans and jumpers that she made for me and my brothers. I really need to go through them and make something!
Oh your painting is adorable. I grew up with two westies and they looked just like that little guy. I learned to knit before all the digital patterns so the paper patterns were just what you knit from and they were much more sparse on the directions. Certainly never 27 pages to any pattern you see now!
I had to restrain myself from leaping up grabbing my shopping bag and heading off to the Opp shop ( Opportunity shop) to rummage for some old knitting patterns! But I had to stay and watch to the end in case I missed anything. Have you tried Rooibos tea? No caffeine ,and I drink a teapot full each morning. I would love to hear your beginning to now knitting journey, what projects you did , who for, what you thought of them etc Watercolour is such fun and everything seems to turn out so pretty. You have encouraged me no end.😊
Hi Paula. I have the knitting pattern of the mittens and hats. I made the middle pair of mitts from a skein of alpaca which I bought at the alpaca farm I visited.
I remember the Thomas the tank engine pattern my mum knitted it for my son, he’s 40 🙈 Love looking at old patterns and the price I had mums old buttons some on a card 8p for 6 from Woolies. 😂 Thanks Paula😊 xx
Your painting is lovely so cute. Nice to hear you singing again, hope you had a lovely soak in the bath think I’m going to do the same.my back has been twinging all day so a nice warm bath should help it relax. Have a lovely weekend love and hugs xx
Oh those patterns were lovely! and Im not even a knitter!! I am loving seeing you every day Paula. Please can I ask you, can you remember the first thing that you ever knitted??
I’m looking forward to introducing others to the black wind concept. I’ve a couple of colleagues with whom I often discuss the latest on the BBC weather site, I’m betting they will immediately get the reference.
Hi really nice looking through the patterns I wonder if you can heip me I am looking for knitting pattern for birds robins in particular.I have tried all the shops in my area also charity shops no luck . Love your videos so down to earth and natural.x
Bonsoir Paula, you make me laugh saying your story about the dog you’ve knitted without back legs 😂. I have a question: did your Nan use to knit your school jumper? In France, we don’t wear uniforms at school, but my best friend used to wear jumper that her mother knitted for her and I envied her because no one never did it for me 😢… So now, I like to knit layette and child garment to offert 😊. Bonne soirée.
Enjoyed Ian purring sounds ,I had earphones on and it was so nice his purring. Enjoyed the knitting patterns . I’m enjoying your videos every day 😊 Thanks so much it’s like sitting down with a good friend .
Little sod 🤣 And the queen 😂 Coming in a safe home out of the bluster is wonderful! Enjoyed this video very much. Thank you💖
