I honestly can't tell what my favorite and least favorite songs of Gojira are. I'm at this point with this band where I have a new favorite song every week, and I've been listening to them for years. What I can say is that this album definitely is my favorite. I recently got the vinyl version of it. It sounds quite different from the cd version. Played on a high-end sound system, I can say this is the best thing I've ever heard. The drums are out of this world.
Gojira is definition of headbang heaven. Simple but yet heavy and unique asf. I just yet cant find a band sounding like them. Satan is a lawyer, remberance, art of dying, flying whales and backbone is my favourite from them. I just can't find any bad song from them.
Isn't it amazing that no matter how many circles Mario does around the guitars and the whole structure of their songs, no matter how many time signature changes they make, if you headbang like a metronome to the music you're always in sync? : ) I still kick myself for only discovering them last year every time I listen to another of their older songs.
Module79L That’s because most likely they’re on different beats per measure that equal out to 4/4. Or they could just be in 4/4 more often than not (which I kinda feel like they’re doing most often). Led Zeppelin were great at this as well. A good example is Kashmir. The drums are in 3/4 and the guitar/violins are 4/4 if I remember right. So every 7th beat they’re in sync with the down beat and it builds that awesome tension you hear in the song.
this is definitely their hardest song. One of my recent favorites has to be vacuity. Some of the fills in there with the really fast crash chokes are completely ridiculous.
Favourite song: Of blood and salt Least favourite: Wtf, they are all my favourite, but if I absolutely had to choose one: Over the flows. Still like it though
Favourite song : Global Warming because it closes my favourite album of them perfectly (From Mars to Sirius) I can't think of a bad song or least favourite though

Born in winter. Because that song they can't play Live due to the fact that you wouldn't hear the vocals due to the style and low octave who sings it at so they never will play it live. That said listen to challenge, because I know as well they don't know how to write a bad song. But, born in winter is awesome especially the build-up
Once again a nice pick :) But i think it's about time you reacted to some pure death metal ;) Suggestions: Bloodbath - Eaten / Blood Vortex. You also have Vader - I Am Who Feasts Upon Your Soul / The Book Would be awesome to hear your opinion :)
That outro is sick. Actually it's reversed, but you can find a "forward" version uploaded here. As for favorite and least favorite Gojira songs, I think my favorite is The Way Of All Flesh, and least favorite might be Planned Obsolescence. There is also a section of music at the end of The Way Of All Flesh that starts about 5 minutes after the song actually ends. It's not as much of an ethereal type sound as the outro on this and The Art Of Dying, but still. It scared the daylights out of me when I heard it at first since it was such silence, then the sounds of distant music started. It's definitely darker, almost giving me a panicked drowning type vibe, then guitars plead with you to come back to the surface towards the end. It kind of gave me goose bumps.
That first line..
YOU HAVE THE POWER TO HEAL YOURSELF!

Gojira's simply in a league of their own.

The outro is the main melody played backwards
I always found similarity with that part and global warming's "we will see our children growing" vocal melody
Dude, you just got yourself a new subscriber. This reaction to my favorite gojira song made my day.
The Gift of Guilt live at Brixton Academy and Backbone
"Vacuity", the song this leads directly into is a really good one aswell. One of their darker sounding songs for sure.
My favorite song by them. That says something since it's extremely difficult to pick a favorite out of their whole catalog of songs.
@@MatthiasCorvinu mine is the way of all flesh
@@Celatra same

There are a lot of transitions between songs on this album that have the same style as the ending of this one.
The cell. Off their new album. SPEED KILLS. then the crashing from that riff... ooh...
Adoration for None is another great song from Gojira on this same album, check it out!!!
The way of all flesh is the best one of this album imo

Their original demos lmfao, but literally everything else is amazing
this is definitely their hardest song. One of my recent favorites has to be vacuity. Some of the fills in there with the really fast crash chokes are completely ridiculous.

Favorite Song - In the Forest
Least Favorite - Stranded
WHAT?! Stranded?! Come onnnnnnn. Fair enough though, opinions are exactly that.
I even like Shooting Star but I'm a person who appreciates good music before I'm a metalhead.
Dude listen to the song Magma..one of the coolest/most original riffs ever
THE ART OF DYING!!!
It's great to play this video on 1.25x speed , it makes this guy's talk normally.
What are you implying?? 😅🤣
RosstaFloss - That the flow can be a bit faster ! Intro was unnecessarily long and slow!
Every outro is an intro to another song for them
You should react to Bloodred Hourglass and their song "Valkyrie". Very, very, VERY awesome and underrated band...
so delicious indeed...
At the end " Global Warming " riff
Art Of Dying, same album
clone, space time, remembrance, indians, ocean planet, the art of dying, explosia, l'enfant sauvage, death to me...
Please, react to Angelus Apatrida - You Are Next Spanish thrash metal band
Haaave to check out the art of dying live at veilles chareux by these guys. Will absolutely blow your mind!
