You guys should hit Northwestern University / Evanston area just 12 miles north of Chicago. It has some slick spots along with beautiful views in the background.
That bank to wall at the 2-3 minute mark is no joke. Horrible kink at the bottom, crack right at the flat, the ground is like sandpaper. That whole park, other than the plaza ledges and hubbas, is brutal.

I can't believe Chicago has that huge free skate park, and I live in Orlando with the two biggest tour attractions in the world, a professional basketball team, two fairly well known colleges. All that money and Orlando won't even build anything, I mean ANYTHING like that here. There is only 2 skate parks and you have to pay for them, and wear a helmet. I just can't understand this city at all.
Keep pushing for it. Get the word out to other locals that you are pushing for it to happen. When they see how many people are hyped about it they just might build you a park.
