Rapidly rising water, mud, and debris made for a super tough bite at this year's All American Kayak Classic, the Midwest's premier kayak bass fishing tournament.
It was definitely a grind out there. I only got 3 day 1 but managed a limit day 2. I appreciate you showing the ups and downs of fishing unlike most of the TH-cam anglers! Till the next one keep grinding!
Yeah, it's been a rough start to the season. Even Tenkiller and Possum Kingdom were tough, even though I managed decent finishes at those. Let's hope Horsetooth shows out this weekend and we can finally start getting some numbers at least!
I felt your pain Matt! I was fishing down by Osage Bluff and had zero score-able bass both days 🤦♂️ I even loaded up and moved three times. Apparently the fish were under the floating drift wood and you had to basically “catfish” for them. No movement of your bait at all and just wait for them to bite. Crazy stuff man! Great video!
Yup that was Truman, way cooler watching someone else do similar stuff. I don't have the patience to soak a senko, they turned on bigtime though during that day 2 30 minute storm, then completely shutdown the rest of the day.
Tough sledding but when there's no pain, there's no gain so maybe that bodes well for your next time out there. Despite your discouragement, it was a good video depicting the downside of your sport. Keep hanging in there.

Heck yeah man, that's awesome you finished strong on day 2.
What a grind. It’s been tough mentally this year with Boyd and Truman not wanting to play nice. See you at the next one!

I was around the same area, just south of Osage Marina on day one and the cove north of it on day 2. Brutal.
Great video it just shows that you have tough days to hang in there. Your next video. Your next time fishing is gonna be awesome.
Thanks! We have a local derby this weekend, hoping for some redemption.
We've all had those days at least I have! Maybe should have tried throwing a shakey head with a 6" worm. You get a A+ for your effort!
Yeah, shaky head is one of the things I wish I would have tried.

I don’t have the patience for a senko either. Especially with only an hour left and I’m trying to fill a limit. I just can’t do it.
Great video Matt. I ended up in 16th and took home $400.
Hell yeah man, that’s an awesome finish for how tough it was.

Yeah, it was rough, but I try to learn something every tournament, and I usually learn more from the bad ones.
