- Alhamdulillah, after a long, rigorous journey, I made it to my dream medical college, the Aga Khan University and enrolled into its MBBS programme. My second choice was Shifa College of Medicine where I also secured a seat. This video is about my experience of Shifa's entrance process where I have covered everything in thorough depth and detail.

If shifa was your 3rd choice, what was your second choice beside AKU then? And what are the best private affiliated colleges other then shifa and AKU?
Shifa was my 2nd option. My third was whichever CMH I make it to!
@@abdullahbinfaisal its hard to get into CMH and shifa b/c they are like AKU test and merit is high too. Which else med school should we prefer then?

Can you match into surgery in US from Shifa? Like in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic surgery or General surgery. I don't think matching into surgery from Pakistan is possible from any other medical college except Aga Khan.
Shahzad. In these years, it is getting extremely hard to match into surgery as an IMG. However, people do match, from shifa as well. You just have to put in extra time and effort. Maybe do a post doc research year somewhere or build your cv really really well. Competition gets really hard these days. And if you are an IMG, the only benefit your medical college brings to you is a good alumni network. Shifa's may not be as extensive as AKU's but it is still pretty good.

I think this policy is not applied for this year... Admission is only based upon mdcat fsc and matric
I think the merit requirement for shifa this year is same as PMC equivalence like 50% mdcat 40% fsc 10% matric

Shifa College of Medicine is a branch of STMU so yes they're the same :)

Sare Islamabad private colleges ke liye mbbs ke liye 80+ chahiye hoga? Because last year ki merit lists toh different formulas par based but this year it's same for all
@@zahirahj.9021 Islamabad my there are some other private universities like hbs, watim (rawal pindi), Islamabad University... There cut off merit is quite low as compared to shifa. And for bds in shifa it's almost same probably 78 or for safe side 80+%. I'd recommend hbs if not possible in shifa on the basis of grading of unis by pmc.. It's an A+ uni.. Baki your choice and make sure to take admission in nearby hometown

I've asked from shifa, they said this year it will be increased and start from 15lacs with 5% increment each year, so 15.75 lacs in 2nd year, 16.50 in 3rd year and 17.25 in fourth, and 18th in final (if doing mbbs)
everyone claim they are expert and start giving wrong info.very unprofessional.
I got 3B in A2 after getting 3As in A1 will it be possible for me To get into Shifa ?

Yes you will be able to go into shifa. They don't consider fsc/alevels marks in their final merit.
You will get admission based on your performance in the shifa entrance test and their interviews.

Bad news for A level students merit is changed for shifa traditional uhs clgs merit has been made 👎👎now fsc students will take 70 % of seats anderit is gonna be higher

@@khurrammahjabeen9410 Look for the places in your city that have a good record and are not very rushy. Some people also prefer online classes over physical ones. Some study on their own and just practice MedAngle's question banks. See what works for you!

Shifa's merit is too high for BDS and MBBS. Dosre colleges mei BDS mei hojaye shyid...let's hope for the best:/
