This brings back memories. I spent my first 2 summers out of high school running a nurse rig for a man who sprayed crops with a 47G-2A. That was 1980 & ‘81.
You will see this more often than you think when a helicopter is kitted out specifically for one job. The reason is that when you’re spraying, weight preference is biased towards the product and your flights are short, so you don’t need fuel range. Usable fuel will be around 24 gallons which is well over an hour, manoeuvering like that nonstop for an hour is very tiring, believe me! The left one is the one removed as it’s the one on the pilot’s side, for balance.
My first job was loading fuel & AG chemicals into a Rockwell Thrush Commander, and even w a 600 hp radial (T-6 engine), we had to choose either full fuel or 350 gallons in the hopper. Spray season was hot AF, so max weight was very critical. Bell 47 has much less hp to work with, so every pound they can shave off counts. Noticed it too & figured it might be a weight saver.

Excelente video de maniobras del helicóptero y excelente piloto.🚁🇲🇽
Love the thud thud sound of the rotor blades makes
Brilliant, great vid. The 47 is a great helicopter
The engine sound is so distinct
Barely ever leaves dead man’s curve
Me encantan estos helicopteros.
Nice job
Why carry passenger ?? When you could ease the weight on the unit ?? Less stress ? Hmm
Nice. The sound of peril in so many spy movies.
Mix and load let's go ❤
Amazing, a dangerous job, maneuvering all the time ,come and go ,up and dawn is a risky business.

Disculpas ... digo Kamov ...
А мені цей вертоліт подобається, просто клас!
Bravo
Muito bom!
What's the smoke blast for? Marking purpose?
Yes, when he wanna modify something, or go around, he gonna now where to continue
As an Ag pilot myself, we use the smoke to have a visual reference of wind direction and speed to understand how much drift the spray might have. 👍🏻
Me gusta ese modo de fumigar
Nice but the Kamov Ka-26 is still the king
When you put a turbine in these(47), they are then King.
