Online I see a ton of comments criticizing Shaolin Kempo. I think many of the criticisms are completely unfounded and unfair. 1. We catch flak because we have 108 combinations….well guess what?American kenpo has 154 and no one gives them any flak for it. 2. Many of our katas are straight out of shotokan karate which is a terrific style. 3. Much of the early curriculum was created by Victor Gascon, a highly respected martial artist and the founder of karazenpo go shinjitsu who trained in kajukenbo. Karate is about the training both to be stronger and a better person. Anyway great video explanation and thank you
I agree. Although there are a lot of techniques to learn in SKK, there are also a lot to learn in all other styles as well. Find a style you that best suits you and really learn it. Don't just memorize the techniques, but also learn them, understand them and learn how to apply them. OSU! 👊🏻
