Great recap, Therek! The enchanter is definitely near the top of the classes I want to main at launch. So many of the classes sound amazing. My top tier are Summoner, Enchanter, Rogue with all of them likely being beat out by the Necro once they are in. That said, the Monk has gained some ground after playing him recently in PA. So many fun classes! I can’t wait to see a reveal of the Summoner and what their pets will be like. Good times ahead!
I love class breakdown videos like this. It gives pretty good insight to the various ways the Enchanter can be played depending on the players ability loadout. Seems like they can even be an effective damage dealer if so desired.
Although not one the classes I have on my list to play, I very much enjoyed this video. Learning about classes in Pantheon is one of my favorite things to watch. You did a great job explaining it all.
nice video, but no its not enchanters that have been called mana batteries, its Necros on raids. in EQ 1 ( they put on their hp to mana converter spell spectra form ) and then transferred their mana to a target. then used lifetap dots on raid targets to keep their health up also had regen from shamans/beastlords and from zlandicars heart. That was the original mana battery
Around PoP area real mana batteries are defenitly Beastlords in raids, then ench and bards. But was had been said on necroes is right. Alter pop area necro switching mana is not relevant. This spell line is stopped.
@@Boubaznavour Bards and enchanters where never mana batteries, They where giving out crack mana regen buffs but that's it. Beastlords took over for necros with their paragon of spirit AA and MGB before they patched it so it was only Group based and not MGBable. after pop era EQ went down in quality sadly so of course i speak of the golden years and not the down tide for EQ.
Wish they would bring back the particle heavy, elaborate spell particle effects of original EQ :( Not all this sparse nonsense. Of course with the option to scale up or down the density. Game does look fun though!
I hear you! In some of their previous demos, they’ve shown some more intense spell effects. I think they may have just been turned down for live testing. And it’s fun, can confirm 🙂
Let's see how it will be with such long cooldowns ench spells seams to have. Nice video !! Thank you. (even if your class is definitly not ench 😊) GWD will be one of the most important spell. Brain fog is way to long to recast (1min !!) and not 100% sure to land.
@@StaticGroupLive it is the spell as we know in EQ as "memory blurr". A chance to erase agro memory, something like 40% chance to work. On EQ it was something like 10-15 second recast time and it was very long. In a 3sec/tic game one minute it VERY long.
Hi, one question I had, that I cannot seem to find he answer to, do enchanters get a pet spell like they did in Everquest? Is that something that is currently not in the game but planned to be in upon release?

I was feeling down when I learned enchanters would not be able to summon a pet in Pantheon, but when I learned they would be able to get the dire charm spell eventually, which would have a small chance to permanently charm a mob(until zoning or death), I felt better knowing it would be possible they could have a permanent pet they could use.
The developers have not given a release date. They are currently working towards Alpha testing. There is a roadmap in the most recent newsletter of the things they need to accomplish for Alpha testing to commence. Its at pantheonmmo.com

Yes, the devs have talked a lot about being careful with Charm as an ability given it’s EQ legacy. On the class page for the Enchanter, it was listed at one time (not currently.) I would be shocked if there wasn’t some form of Charm given how iconic it is for the class.
Not a fan of anything making it seem any class just needs one stat. All Intel make game seem... Flat I rather Intel charisma and dex adding to spells power duration so on. And cast through. More stat. The second part mez an such added second stat so yes good 👍 VR is right on pulse of community God bless them and guide them. I feel smiles coming down from the flaming sword in heaven in Brads hand.
It's really not hard to just put textures on the models. You guys may be excited because you've already paid your $500 ticket to get in. I have no interest in giving them even $50, let alone a monthly subscription, if this is what they have to show after 10 years.

It does seem like they are at least competent to add damage as needed depending on the group comp. A flex role like we’ve seen in other classes.

Enchanters have a charm spell planned, but it’s not currently in game. No stand alone pet spell.

i agree. the art is really jaw dropping in a bad way. it looks so poor its hard to follow anything going on.
