Use the trigger radius adjustment to change the radius of a junction being locked in the presence of a train eg. 2.00 means the train only has to be 2m away from junction before it unlocks. Awesome for yards. Thanks for the shout out too bro!

I make a "Palette" or on map menu of assets on the baseboard that I need or think I might use for every scene or area on the map. It saves time in the long run when creating scenes. Everything is on the map to see and you don't have to go to a pick list because you can see what colors, textures etc work well together. Plus if you save the map to disk and the your computer crashes you can reload from the download asset base. You just have to remember to remove them when you are finished with a scene! -RobJay

I needed that picklist tip since I have no idea how to work thus I scroll the assets list (ex. building) thoroughly to find the right item. It was no fun going by hundreds of assets that wasted my time.

i wish there was a way to make the ai shunt. like i can kinda make a tank engine couple up cars and go to the destination but i can't make them decouple in the driver setup.

I’ve found using the Path rule and accompanying path command helps. You basically set every possible path in a yard for the session so that if you want to go from siding 1 to the headshunt and from the headshunt back to siding 2, you select the first path, use the “autodrive” command (like drive to trackmark but just forward/backward) to drive to the headshunt trackmark, use change direction command, select the path from headshunt to siding 2, and click autodrive to siding 2 trackmark. You have to have good signaling and point work, and but if you tinker with it, you can move mountains! The path rule is built in and has a link to the creator’s website with better details than I could give you here. Worth exploring if you want to make shunting work without the “hand of God” so to speak.

Another thing to look into: the “couple at trackmark” and “uncouplez from” commands. They make it way easier!

What you can do is place another engine near by and use the internal cam from that one to take pics of your main train.
