I started smoking cigarettes years ago as a teenage, spent my whole life fighting Cigarettes addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder, got diagnosed with cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly, 8 years totally clean. Much respect to mother nature the great magic shrooms.

I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.

Hey mates! Can you help with the source? I suffer severe anxiety, panic and depression and I usually take prescription medicine, but they don't always help. Where can I find those psilocybin mushrooms? I'm really interested in treating my mental health without Rxs. I live in Australia don't know much about these. I'm so glad they helped you. I can't wait to get them too. Really need a reliable source 🙏

“Slow Down” has pretty much been a theme in my life. I’ve always appreciated the little “secrets” that I’ve discovered by going slow. Nearly everyone I’ve met in my life is about speed - doing everything fast. They act like speed is the most important thing. I’m retired now but all of my previous employers valued speed. I was finally able to show the company I retired from that speed usually resulted in doing things in a less than accurate way. And most times someone needed to go back and correct things that were praised because of the speed they were done. It took putting up with criticism for a while but my last boss was finally able to see the best (and most profitable) results were when the job only needed to be done one time with the correct parts and adjusted as they should be. The result for me was promotion and acceptance. It wasn’t an easy course but in the end rewarding. So thank you for that message, Dewayne.

Great video ,loving it . I just want to put a note . When your ash drops down and your burning tip has a conical shape that means that the specific cigar you're smokig contains bigger amount of ligero tobacco leaf. Ligero leaf contains bigger dose of nicotine than the other leafs . Ligero leaf is located in the top of tobacco plant. When the rollers making a cigar their putting the ligero leaf in the centre of the cigar, otherwise it will burn unevenly.
That basically sawing as the power of the cigar.
If you're smoking too fast , you'll increase the temperature of the cigar and you'll have a bitter taste .
Also if smoke to low you have to relight the cigar too often , you'll charcoal it and it will be bitter again.
That's what I've learnt after many many years as a cigar aficionado.

My father and grandfather could not have been more opposite each other. Growing up, my father was the epitome of multi-tasking, in constant motion, if you're not moving forward, you were moving backwards. There was no 3rd direction. His father, my grandfather, was the opposite. Do something, do it well, when finished take pride in your achievement and then proceed to next thing. He also was a carpenter and a smoker. He smoked pipes and cigars. He also smoked cigarettes and he chewed occasionally. His rituals for consuming all tobacco products were impressive and consistent. He never sped up the process. He lit with soft flame, constantly turning so it was evenly burning. His pipe was a blue flame, instant heat. But how you load and pack it, how tightly it was packed, how full it was, all was calculated out over decades. It was so interesting to watch his rituals.

I don’t mean to sound special in any way but I now enjoy mostly Cuban brands and certain Nicaraguans occasionally. I find pairing it with a nice coffee is just the ticket. Great video and an extra tip. I recommend keeping the cello on for three reasons actually. Number 1# cigars that stay in cello actually keep a little more intensity when kept in and loose slight intensity when out. Number 2# the cello does a very good job in preventing mold. If one cigar develops mold the cello will keep it from spreading (especially to your more expensive cigars) to the ones in cello. Number 3# it helps maintain the flavors in your sticks if you have a mixture of cigars clumped together. Just some things I've found. Cheers!

Regarding personal preference and various cigar flavors and after taste...all true and absolutely varies by country, producer and individual. I find I enjoy tobaccos from the Dominican Republic..... but thats my personal preference. Everyone is different so dont let others sway you one way or the other.

Merry Christmas, Sir. I'm a daily cigar smoker and have been for several years now, but I also appreciate folks talking about the basics for newcomers. Cigars are all about taking time away from everything else in life, especially the stresses. It's interesting that you mentioned how different tobacco regions can bring varying flavors. Personally, I've found that I hate Sumatra tobacco. It just leaves a funny taste in my throat. I prefer Nicaraguan, Dominican, Ecuadoran and Peruvian cigars. It all comes down to personal taste. Best wishes for the new year!

Nicaraguan is my favorite as well, at least filler and binder.
Mexican San Andres is my favorite wrapper.
BUT! I also enjoy Sumatra, it's more full bodied and peppery, but I like that sometimes.
Corojo is another I use to break up the monotony.
Still haven't tried any Brazilian tobacco's, but I want to at some point.
Honduran does tend to have a very potent white pepper note that can throw people off.

Dewayne, I would like to thank you for your advice over the last two years I have watched you.
I am English, 21 and a man. I have chosen to be a barrister as my profession, and UK law, especially as a practitioner, is very hectic and never stops nor slows down. Case after case.
I am buying my first cigars tomorrow. I will be buying 4 cigars, each with a different style and each from somewhere different - a taste of the world, so to speak.
Your message about contemplation and slowing down has really helped my mental health. I slow down with a glass of good, quality made bourbon as natural as I can get it (Uncut, unfiltered and straight from the barrel) and that is my "cigar".
A glass could easily last me 1 hour. Slowly sipping and deciphering the delicious array of notes in the bourbon in both smell and taste and just relaxing and enjoying myself is my favourite activity of the week. I am excited to do the same thing with cigars.
Many thanks from across the pond!

Thank you for this. My dad used to love cigars and pipes. I lost him 2 yrs ago. Was kind of thinking about trying it. He would tell me to slow down and enjoy life. I'm 52 and just learning how to rest. So I figure I'll give it shot n see how I like it.👍

I didn't realize how little I knew about fine cigars and how to really enjoy one. Thank you for all this information. You know how to explain things without all the drama of an " expert ." I just found your channel last week and I have enjoyed your calm wisdom in every video .

Hello I want to thank you for all your videos and the time you take to produce them, I really enjoy learning from you and your channel content, I'm not a cowboy or own any horses or live in a ranch but I truly envy your way of life and all your wisdom, I was born and raised in mexico and emigrated to USA at a early age back in 1989, I unfortunately did not have good role models growing up and I really appreciate you honesty and the way you present your videos on different subjects, I'm 50 years old now and I been contemplating smoking my first cigar for a few years, I'm finally made my mind to buy my first cigar this year and I'm currently searching information on best cigars for beginners and I hope to be able to enjoy it, keep up the good work please!

Thanks for the video. I can completely relate to sitting outside with momma and enjoying the end of a day together while smoking a cigar and relaxing. No better time. The concept of stopping for an hour or two to enjoy a cigar and contemplate our world was introduced to me by my brother. My life has become easier and more enjoyable as I take the time to stop and enjoy a moment instead of rushing through life without appreciating it. Thanks for the cigar series.

Wow I was caught off guard by this. Everything from the organic raw phone video, the non polished explanations, and the all around solid fatherly tone…thanks for modeling what it’s like to slow down. I just recently got into cigars and that was what I loved most about the experience. You are forced to slow down…to eliminate hurry…thanks again for the video, I am a new subscriber.

As a former ranch hand/farmer your videos make me miss the wide open. I've been especially watching the cigars video's. I've been smoking cigars since 2008 but just this year started collecting more. Personally my go to smokes are factory smokes for all day puffing. But my absolute indulgence cigar is a diamond crown black diamond #7.

Some of the cheaper, knock-around cigars that I get for every day smokes, can unravel when I cut them with a guillotine cutter. I've found that a 3" wood screw, hand "drilled" and then removed from the cap and head of the cigar prevents this. I also screw a hole into the head and foot of cigars that are rolled too tightly. It opens them up and are a lot nicer to smoke. Nice video!!

I just came across your channel. The video on being a good man came across my feed, so after watching, I went back to see what else you had to say. Although, I hung with the rodeo guys on Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, AZ, and I did a couple of rodeos as a barrel rider and bullfighter (clown), I am not involved in the horse/ranch lifestyle. I live in suburban coal country Pennsylvania and it's kinda hard to have a horse farm around here. I did notice the video before this (why you smoke), and it reminded me that I had one cigar left in the house. Life has been stressful, and I was starting to lose focus on things and realized your comment about slowing down was the wisdom I needed at that moment.
So, I find myself on my front porch with the dog, listening to the neighbor mow his lawn, watching the cars go by, and enjoying the last of my sampler pack (Hecho a Mano Dominica Kristoff Ligero) along with a Yuengling Lager, and allowing myself to just.... be.
The L-rd puts people in our lives when we need them or they need us. You were mine.
    Thank you

Your appreciation for older things, and not being stamped out by a machine is similar to how I have a penchant for hand-made American clothing and footwear. And I also think that's part of the appeal and market for the so called "heritage" clothing. I've even been looking into reading some history books on the subject. I know that's not related to cigars, but the thought came to mind with the stuff you talked about last video.

I love your comment about not letting this "crazy" world dictate what is good and bad, right or not. It is incredible how so many otherwise reasonable down-to-earth people look to Hollywood to tell them what is "fashionable", or to Washington to tell them what is honorable or to "Big Pharma" to tell them what is healthy. Why should we be taking our advice from people who are immoral, unpatriotic, or hypocritical? Good message sir!

Very great video. I really appreciate this channel and the morals and values that you have. I’m 18 and just started smoking cigars (on occasion, with moderation) but I love the aspect of slowing down. Not to mention the relaxing social atmosphere it creates like you talked about in another video. Get 3 good friends together, after a long work week to enjoy a cigar and have good conversation while enjoying the company of others. Its simple, harmless, & it’s not like anything else you could smoke. Doesn’t take away your ability to think or function. It’s a treasure. I truly thinks it’s a gift. All that being said, to God alone be the glory! Thank you, and God bless

Another good talk Dwayne. I have one of the wooden box humidors, that holds 50 to 60 cigars, that was given to me about 8 years ago by one of my former employees. It is beat up on the outside but maintains a steady 80% humidity year around. I don't find the maintenance of it to be an inconvenience but more like a part time hobby, part of the 'slow down and relax' mentality "for a more harmonious outcome".
