Good video. It looks like you bale about as fast as you did with your old baler. That 565 will easily handle twice as much hay as you're putting in it. It would be less time in the sun for the guys on the wagon and easier to beat the rain. Of course, it's not my hay, my baler, or my video. Keep up the good work.
I am sorta looking for a double hitch and another bar rake. Speed will have to be increased by width rather that going faster. Sometimes the terrain isn't the smoothest. By raking bigger windrows, that's how we'll go faster.
I am picky about my hay wagons. I see alot of corners cut and good enough in theory designs if your building a house for someone else. Those principals don't work on good hay wagons. They will, unfortunately, sit outside, get wet, and overloaded and ran into with the bucket loader. The two beams are 8x8 eletric poles, with cheating 2x dimension boards as wide as the ash logs they were cut from. Then it was all soaked in used engine oil. A long time ago, an uncle worked for a power plant, They were replacing the coal nozzles for the boilers, that's where all the stainless pipe came from.
The 10 might be overkill, but being he really wont be under a load it really wont use much more fuel than the little Fords that labor a little more pushing that plunger and pulling those wagons! And shade is a plus for older gentleman!
Boehm Farm Terrific! I'm so glad because you really seem to be a natural with it. Have you checked into specialty mushroom growing? You have lots of ground on which to propogate specialty mushrooms that sell for very high prices. I think it is chanterelles that are grown under plastic pails in the ground . There is a you tube video on a guy who grows them this way. You do not need a hot house or special structure and you use the smaller unused areas near your buildings, etc. Thrilled to know the farming continues. Thanks!

What you see in rows is hay laid out as it comes out of the mower. We have a seven foot mower conditioner and I lay the windrows out wide. I never waste time on tedding, other than total drought, what else will let me bale day after mowing? So hay is a three day process, mow on Monday, then bale Wednesday as soon as the dew is off.
I see you keep the jug of (water, milk, tea, beer, etc) on the baler as incentive for Brad and his bud? Carrot in front of the horse? LoL (probably full of salt water..lol)
They do a a better job than v rakes i had a 3 point pto rollabar and had alot of problems getting it level if you dont get that height right you'll put too much pressure on the bars and bang one will break and jam up the works

Rake seems loud? Needs some lubrication, I think.:)
Roller bar rakes are always loud not much u can do about it.
The camera picks up noise through the frame, it's like noise traveling through your bones.
