I reacted like I stepped on a thumbtack when I first heard the pop overtones and structure. But who am I to judge? Nahko's music was the catalyzing force behind my personal transformation due to its self-reflective nature and after listening to this a whole host of challenging thoughts and feelings have presented themselves for my further personal growth, as usual with his medicine. Maybe I'm unhealthily attached to that original organic sound of the first albums, maybe its a crutch I use to nostalgically marinate in the rose tinted memories of the first phases of my awakening, maybe its a familiar drug I use to escape the conundrums of my current reality while allowing unhealed wounds and unexplored pain that has been more recently created to fester and grow unchecked. My garden needs some careful, attentive, and heartfelt tending and that cannot be done if all I want to do is sit on the porch and daydream about how great last season's harvest was. Its time to grow again, to be comfortable with discomfort again.
Once again, mahalo, mahalo, mahalo for the medicine, Mr. Bear.

4 yrs ago I stopped running. I just stopped. Working eating meat working for the machine it's not easy doing nothing so to speak. Mediation helps. Cleaning the outside well I work on the inside. I found Nahko Rudd Wookiefoot this beautiful music no more Gangsta Rap. No more victim blaming just rising like yeast to conquer peace and stop the BEAST

Love the new song. It does have a pop sound but Nahko lyrics. Still resonates and this song may broaden his fan base. I’m still an old school Nahko fan but loving all his new stuff. So much love for all the healing your music has brought to me.

You reached in my heart and listened to my soul...from one bear to another i am grateful for you n your medicine..My 19 yr old son and I went to see you in Flagstaff Az and again in Cocoa FL..he loved your music..he passed of cancer sept 20 2018 and we had your music playing much of the hospital time especially in ICU..it brought us both great comfort..and continues for me today..this song is what i needed to hear..even though him getting sick wasnt my fault as a momma bear you take all the guilt and pain and feel it is..as i continue to heal know your music is a big factor in that..thank you for the memories i will always hold close..Namaste

When I heard that second-worst for the very first time I was alone I was miserable I was soul-searching and so many questions got answered. I'm not even kidding everything just flooded into my mind and I'll tell you... I cried my eyes out. This man's music is nothing short of absolutely blessed and phenomenal and life-saving. I had so many questions answered with that second verse it was amazing and rather sad at the same time. But these things happen. Music that truly touches your soul is going to elicit an emotional response from you. And this one really really does that. I would give anything to be able to meet this man shake his hand give him a hug and say thank you.

Just started listening to this song and the rest of this album and I gotta say it’s fire 🔥 I’m sorry I passed over it when it came out. Probably because of the pop sound. I regret that now. The messages in this song, part problem, and Skin in the game are real truth. You gotta look at yourself with a lense of truth if your ever going to progress in love. Not a single one of us is perfect. There is always a chance for forgiveness, but it must start in the heart and spread through the tendons like a lightening bolt. My healing and awakening really took off with this Medicine, it got me through dark times. We cannot expect to put anyone on a pedestal and not have them cast shadows from within. There is light and dark in every single being, including this man. I am not digging this new style, but that is what makes an artist an artist. This message isn't meant for me, and I'm ok with that... Find the message through the medium that does speak to you in your moment. The main takeaway is to dig deeper, know your self, learn from your lessons, and be the brightest light you can.

I’m not hardcore in pop. I go after the medicine for the tribal sounds and beautiful words. That being said. This is a beautiful song about personal sin(Greek work for missing your mark, failing at a personal goal). As usual Nahko your words are the source of your inspiration. Again I’ll say I don’t like pop, for many reasons, but the core of this song like all your medicine is rooted in what your expressing. None of us are perfect, and we will always strive to be better if it’s our goal to be righteous. But sometimes we need hands, and it’s great to see you share this importance to all those out here that follow you for your power of healing through your ideas and mind. Be proud of your gifts, tattoos or not, your not an average guy. You have a testimony of life, and rose above, rose up into fame, and strive to share and help others. 2500 years ago a person like you was called a shepherd of men. Your songs and messages were called psalms, and in the East a man like you was called a Sherpa, a wiseman. The man who gained wisdom and knows how to share it to heal others. In almost all faiths that person, who puts themselve in that place through adversity was called “righteous” a Hebrew word called Tzedikm is used to express you.
You’ve surrounded yourself with many more people that could be considered this way, Mike love, Trevor hall, etc. al people sharing a message through experience or wisdom to heal others hearts and minds. Regardless of your purpose or faith your doing the work of the most high, in the fashion needed to redeem a soul, and bring many more home with you. Many men in Abrahamic faiths are given fame by life and abuse it. Become greedy, self absorbed and share that evil into our world, to our children. When I see you and your friends, I see men doing right by god, right by men, and right by themselves. You and your people are truly righteous little brother. In the end your special purposes will be more apparent to you and your life will feel satisfied and fulfilled knowing you loved it and lived it and spent your time sharing your lessons with us all. So I just now listened to the song for the very first time. I'm at a bit of a loss for words I had to pause it halfway through to collect myself. Just.. wow I truly do believe that everybody regardless of race Creed culture background whatever.. everybody should give this man a chance there's something to take twin Rich lives in one way or another. Too bad everybody couldn't Maybe.. I don't know.. connect with this music and set part of themselves free I think this world would be such a better place. I'm thankful for this man and quite evidently the tragic life or part of life that he had been through and very very thankful for the words that can connect so deeply and profoundly.
