Tommy the Duke Morrison was also part of the Rocky Franchise…. I’m sure as Mike was living with Cus and his wife at their home Cus made sure Mike saw the VHS copy of the movie.
The respectful way you approched Mike Tyson and his wife was excellent. Of course Carl Weathers inspired people. It's really sad losing him when his commercial seems to be everywhere. Lost too young IMHO. I think we just get used to having people like him around and don't expect to lose them. RIP Carl Weathers and thank you for all the inspiration, entertainment and memories.
Mike Tyson is such a genuine guy! So cool that he flys like everyone else and isn't a big headed celeb! Carl was a legend and will be missed by many! Glad that he was recognized for his amazing life and many talents!
I remember seeing posters of Rocky in the old training videos of Mike Tyson The whole cast of Rocky has a big impact on most people that are into Boxing !
Tony Vera is the photographer here. He's a great guy. He always records celebs and police interactions at LAX. He's the cameraman that Mike Tyson beat up several years ago when Mike was emotionally unstable. They've since made up and greet each other every time they see each other at LAX. Mike has become an awesome and very humble person since then.
Prior to Rocky Balboa was there ever a Prime Time Boxing Movie Franchise ? With notable celebrities in it ? I’m not sure but I think Rocky really put Boxing in Prime time and Dalph Lungren (sp?) created such a USA VS RUSSIA conflict it was great.
@@PeteDavidson-yl3ps Sorry ..but back then boxing was HUGE...its actually the reverse. Boxing in the day inspired the Rocky franchise. Boxing however is no where near as big as it was. Fights were like SUPERBOWLS in the 70's, 80.s and I recall maybe early 90's...maybe. I'm guessing your a younger person (meaning under 40 0r so). 70's fights is what inspired Rocky though.
I loved Carl Weather’s character. I wish Hollywood would have cast him in high quality movies. He had so much charm and charisma without being arrogant. RIP.
You deserve to be recognized for outstanding work. “Walk and talk”… a phrase Carl Weathers used when I was escorting him to a meeting. The champ and the Mrs. Are looking good. Thanks for this.
I love the way in which he approaches Mike and doesn't badger him or interrupt his day. Mike obviously saw that this guy was not your usual dirt digging journalist and responded warmly. I thought Mike must know this guy from somewhere because he was showing him big love. Nice to see he also showed respect to Mike's wife. Often with famous people their partners have to stand there being ignored unless they are famous in their own right. He even calls her Mrs Tyson. Class. Pure class.
This video was the perfect example of this guy’s job. Sit and wait for celebrity, wait for opportunity to confront him, ask him about Carl Weathers, then post video saying Mike Tyson pays tribute to him. That’s sick dude.
@@MichaelSimmons-z5c I’m sure they’re used to it. Kinda, sorta the same thing, but when I first moved to Naples back in November of 2020 after spending the first 40 years of my life in Minnesota, I was floored by all the exotic cars I saw everywhere. Where I lived I saw one Bentley in my entire life, I don’t think I ever saw a Ferrari, or a Lambo, definitely never saw a McLaren. I moved to Naples and all of a sudden there are Bentleys and Ferraris in the parking lot at the grocery store. Like I said, at first was shocked, but within a few days it became so common to see exotic cars that they didn’t even register to me anymore. In fact just yesterday I walked to the Farmer’s Market that’s near my house but I forgot that a massive car show was going on at the same time. I can’t even imagine how many hundreds of millions of dollars worth of cars were lined up on the street. I just walked right by them. I couldn’t care less.
Good job. Not intrusive, no badgering, very respectful. If more people were like this maybe celebrities would be more accessible. Mitch Green should've consulted with you before encountering Mike back in the day! 🤣😂

A nice video overall. It was good to hear Mike's thoughts on Carl's demise, when he said "Rocky" it really drove it home, and yes Carl really was an icon; his passing really was horrible news. I myself felt really bad and have watched atleast ten videos about Carl on TH-cam, and bought the Rocky movies to watch again, and have as tribute to Carl. Mike did pretty well for himself with his wife, what a beautiful, classy lady! :)
Good interviewer,he did not rush up Mike while he was checking in but waited till he was approached then asked two short questions after wishing him a good day.
