- Today we are going to experience one of the most exotic restaurants you can find in India known as Haveli. Here they have a ton of traditional cuisine mixed in with a one of a kind experience. We have the opportunity to meet many of the staff members and they were kind enough to offer us a tour of the entire premises and show us what village life is like in Amritsar. This is an incredible place. It has interiors of no less than a 5 star hotel but the food is quite budget friendly. And extra points for the way they have represented Punjabi culture in their restaurant. It felt nothing short of a museum.

I have been to Jalandhar Haveli quite a few times. This one in Amritsar is bigger and with more artifacts, heritage depiction. It feels good how they are presenting our heritage.

Actually Amritsar is the one of the best city in India. It has a world class restaurants, offices, Hotels, Tourist places, roads, schools, medical services and a great culture. That is why I choose the city to be my home city
Lovely restaurant,, does look so beautiful, the dresses and vest is a lil funny but it adds to the Punjab experience. I like how the waiter touches his chest in genuine kindness. Around the 12:00 mark. I really like the way they serve the food in trays like a buffet lol that looks fun to eat, with variety, here not much variety. So fun to watch the taste testing lol I watch to see the reaction to each. I don't see much fruits. But yeah the presentation is awesome. Thanks for explaining everything, it makes me feel like I'm there experiencing with you guys. I wonder why they wear circle hats. The food doesn't look greasy or fattening like here lol

Pronounce it as pan-jab.
Also for local language common phrases you can use google translator English to Whichever region language you want and hear the translated audio.

Mac thankyou the way you showed Kolkata it was great. If you have a chance visit Kolkata during Durga puja all pandles will be opened from 17th 18th of October. Actual puja starts from 21st October but all pandles will be opened before to control crowd you must come you will enjoy the vibe.

Eating rice and daal/sabzi with your hands is a Southern Indian thing, and not common at all up North. Here in Panjaab, we just mix the rice and daal/sabzi with a spoon.
And the sweet milky rice dish is kheer, which is a desert and is meant to be eaten at the end of the meal, to sweet the mouth after the spicy main courses.

It has one of the lowest poverty rates in the country, only behind kerala and tamil nadu
