    The Minimoog Voyager is a great monophonic synthesizer and totally changed my music production.

    I just skipped about 20 videos about this Moog Voyager because nobody even mentions with that box in the middle was until just now. It’s an XY pad! That’s awesome. Man people suck at these product videos if it took twenty to even mention what that was. Thank you.

    Nothing has the weight of voyager You can hear this in Trent’s scores when he hits one low note as a stab , drone, I have the RME , it stopped making sound and moog replaced the board very good customer service

    Nices video! I Have a Voyager for my ambient baselines and I have never heard a fuller more majestic lowend. In the mix I just cut some lowend and put a limiter on it, and I am set. Also the whole thing is a piece of art, the knobs are so nice to turn and the wood looks nice.

    Nice! Trent Reznor is a very avid user of the Voyager. He even has the same exact kind you have, an Electric Blue. The Voyager strikes me as a desert island/workhorse monosynth that can equal or even surpass a Pro One. I hope to maybe get an XL someday, hopefully.

    Now that the Voyager has been replaced by the Matriarch, people think it's no longer the Synth du jour. However, it is one of the greatest synthesizers ever made not only for its robust construction, it's knob-per-function interface, the palette and caliber of the sounds, but also the extensive midi implementation and expandability. Accept no substitute.

    • @Detroit-Berlin
      @Detroit-Berlin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Imo compared to the Matriarch/Grandmother the Voyager goes deeper bass wise and is better build. Have the Grandmother and this is sound wise close to the Sub Phatty although better build.

      @@Detroit-Berlin Interesting. I played a GM briefly at a guitar center (one of two times I have ever seen Moog in a store) and it was surprised at how easy it was to get a good sound out of it.

      @@Rhythmicons Eurorack works better in a Grandmother/Matriach setup, if you have 5U a Voyager with expander or Voyager XL would make more sense. GM and 5U would mean too many 1/8" to 1/4" jacks.

    • @Detroit-Berlin
      @Detroit-Berlin  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Velocity only has effect if you select it under the modulation busses and route it somewhere so I don’t see the need why you need to turn it off completely? Just don’t use it as a modulation source and you should be fine.
      From my recollection it doesn’t affect amplitude.
