Great video to watch since I have no experience with generators. You see I live in California and with the fires 🔥 happening, power shutoff has been automatic in my area when it’s super windy. Since I have no clue on generators, I asked my coworker for advise since he uses one during our power outage. He also has an old A-I power generator and had it for 4 yrs and still running. Anyways he found something similar to yours, but the Costco blue version (powered by Yamaha). He strongly recommended the Yamaha version. He said it’s more reliable. I shall see... until the next power outage! Thx again for your video 🤩

@@htnowpro ok so I finally opened my new generator. I filled it up with motor oil and gas. I turned the idle to off, switch the gas cover to on, & turned the knob to choke. 1st attempt pulling the cord, the engine went on right away for about minute while on choke. Then all the sudden the engine stopped! What happened? I tried pulling the cord again and the engine won’t fire up! But when I turned the knob to “run”, when I pulled the cord again the engine started with no problem. Is this normal?
@@ziggytube yes. That is the vent to allow air to flow in as fuel is pulled out. Other then that I have no idea why yours stopped running. Good news is it started back up. I recommend running a complete tank of fuel and put some time on it. Note: it runs a long time, lol. I broke in the first one I purchased but haven't got around to the second one.
Ive had an A-iPower SUA2000iV 2000 Watt Portable Inverter Generator for 5 years and its been run for hundreds of hours with basic oil changes. Still going strong today. Im hoping this one is just as good

I have the Yamaha SC2300I, which is the same design... on 7:27 the Digital Fuel Meter does not display the amount of fuel, I have the same problem too. Is there any trick to activate that????? I have contacted the company but to no avail.
Well, Costco said return it for refund, that is great, then it would take about two weeks to receive another one... Then a-ipower.com, customer support is sending me a replacement board for the front display, I was told there have been the same problem before and replacing the board took care of the problem.
Yes, I think it is the best deal going on an inverter generator. I had hoped mine would run a 12,000 BTU a/c but it wouldn't start it. However after breaking in the new generator and seeing how long it ran on 1.1 gallons of gas I bought a second one to run in parallel and it works great with the room A/ C. i just grabbed their brand new 2700iD dual fuel (2200 running) and i grabbed 2. so together the cost at Sams is only $500ish each after tax if you have the plus free shipping ($479) so $1000 or so for both that will make 4400 running and 5400 surge. same price as a crappy harbor freight one or a 3500 champion. but alot more running watts. sale ends august 7th i think. online only and ships direct from ai-power. spoke to the rep and they made some nice upgrades. alone one can pull 18 amps out and together you can max out the l5-30 30amp plug. total running amps together is 40 across multiple plugs. he said this model i got is less than a month old and alot of improvements. still runs for 10.8 hours on 1 gallon at 25% load.

You unboxed it in the rv, of what it's needed for and ran stuff in the house. Should have plugged in the 30amp and seen if it runs the trailer and Is it a waist or not buying it .. It's $700 Canadian so I'm wondering if it actually will do the job.

Sorry for the late response. It's probably the carburetor needing adjustment. Someone posted that the adjustment scree is not accessible in order to meet California emissions laws. I can't confirm, but most likely.

I've got an older Black and Decker lawn edger that overloads either of the SUA2300i's. Works fine on the SC2000i alone, or with both the SUA2300i's in parallel. I think that 2300W rating is overly optimistic. The motor is the same size (79cc).
I bought two today and the power and fuel gauges don't work. The voltage/hour area does though. I read a review from someone that had this problem and they were told by a-ipower to remove the faceplate to plug the gauges in. Shouldn't have to, but at this price point, I'm willing to. Anyone else have to do this?
It's not really directly related to " how may items" but directly related to how many watts are needed. I can run my office ( router/imac/TV/kit led lights and a bigger component briefly such as microwave/small oven. If you need more you can run two connected in parallel to double output. I will be picking mine up tomorrow. I also have the ryobi 2300i Bluetooth Inverter Generator. Do you know if I'll be able to parallel these 2 together with the included cables? And if so, does it matter which Generator I actually plug in to?

It’s runtime is only for 3 hours and you have to fill up fuel again !!! Also it is not quite as much as people say try it you see what I said. Otherwise it does the work

I have the same generator but after about 10 one hour uses I have no electricity ; breaker was not tripped....so I presume now I have to replace the voltage regulator .
@@michaelaos thanks! I thought about that too since it didn’t seem to get all the amount of oil they recommend, I moved the generator in different surfaces and every time I open the oil cap I can see a little bit of oil coming out so I think is full.
@@michaelaos thank you again for your tip. After I read your suggestion I went and made sure it was on a leveled ground, I added some more oil since I had quite a bit left and it took it. It started on the first pull. I was stressing out for two days, thank you again!
After 10 minutes change the oil Then after 30 minutes change the oil Then after 1 hour change the oil. Now you can do the break in. Then change the oil to synthetic..

Thinking of getting one for my motorcycle tire warmers; 110v each, roughly 1100-1300 running watts so confident (🤞) this would work.

Check with Costco, I think thats who sells it. Costco historically has exceptional after sale support. Sam's Club doesn't.

I picked one up from Sam's club to run lights and keep my batteries charged on my motor home. It works great and very reasonably priced.

Just regular gasoline. Oil goes in the crankcase. Must fill.
I believe it is gravity feed unlike the eu2200i Honda I tried to use a extend fuel kit and it would not pull fuel going to figure something out

I would check for loose wiring inside behind the control panel. I think I came across a post related to that a long time ago.

I just got the Yamaha version from Costco and after adding the oil and gas it won’t start. I think I ve tried everything..any idea what it could be?
@@bledibushati9889 Make sure you're on a hard, flat, level surface. The low-oil cut off switch can mess with you.

Three oil changes in one hour and 40 minutes, wow. That's good insurance. I changed mine after the first tank of fuel to synthetic.
