- Many years after my grandfather passed away, a couple repaired his 40-year-old red brick house in the suburbs, cleaning up weeds and dirty rooms.

Единственное, что не понравилось, что они использовали неошкуренные столбики! Можно было ошкурить сразу бревно целиком. Это несложно и не очень долго. И двор выглядел бы аккуратнее и красивее!

Why do they work on the yard?? Fix, fix house first.. Then the yard..
They needed yard cleared to get to house have space to remove rubble from house
Maybe also to clear yard and grow vegetables, which will be ready for when house is completed too
They need to clean outside first, because however long the house has stood abandoned, trees, saplings and roots can cause damage to buildings and or any pipe work underground, plus if they have the outside cleared then they have somewhere to put all the stuff from the house!
