This is my "Song of the Year 2022"
My best friend, the family dog, Roger, had passed away
My father had completely fallen to his addictions
Mother had evacuated the house
The woman I Loved had abandoned me. The few and far between attempts to move on were met with stinging rejection.
There was nothing for me at home, anymore. Roger was keeping the family together, and when he passed, everything fell apart (as I knew it was going to...)
So I loaded up my bicycle and left in the middle of Winter, to return West, 1,500 miles, and find a New Beginning there...
This was the song, that epitomized that adventure for me.
