    The point of the story is not her sleeping with entire village, but how far someone is about to go to protect the community. Remember she had in mind " I will have the child that will lead us to greatness and protect our community". In Africa traditionally the community come first before the individual comfort. In this case, it was Truth and Unity

      Can you read your text again to yourself and perceive the comics of it. Does the story need to be that she slept with the entire village, had a child and now looking for the interest of the village? How can such person protect the village? How can a whore protect a village. That child is called a "bastard", not a savior.

    I love the storyteller voice and her accent. I really love her stories so much I hastily sent it to my seven year old granddaughter. After I listen to the story, I was in a panic that I had sent it so hastily to my granddaughter. I wasn’t ready to explain to her What it means when the young lady decided to sleep with every man in the village. I hope this is not something she will understand. I’m hoping to find more stories from the storyteller, but something that I would be able to send my granddaughter with pride, and that she would love and understand.

    A very interesting story. My concern though is on the morality of this girl Amina. Our African community is known to value good morals, especially among young girls, including respecting their virginity and who they sleep with. Therefore the issue of her sleeping with all the eligible bachelors in the village and everyone finding that normal becomes rather questionable.

      True many years ago, but the African culture now is different the women doesn’t wait for marriage, having babies out of wedlock, dating on different social media platforms, wearing revealing clothes you name it the culture is gone with it comes to this, nothing is natural about them. I know i been visiting Africa every year in December visiting my husband’s family so I see it firsthand. Matter of fact I’m here now it’s just not what rumored to be they are wild and highly sexually active. The Culture is gone… I’m in West Africa

    Though this store was intriguing, the moral value of the lead woman speaks to the modern thought process of women today thinking that sleeping with every man in their city or in this case her village will give them a good outcome. Which in reality is not true, by sleeping around with all those men she end up with a longer problem which by her actions caused.

    Thank you for sharing such an intriguing and captivating story.
    I appreciate the depth and creativity in your narrative. However, I wanted to offer a small note regarding cultural accuracy.
    The name 'Amina' is commonly recognized as a Muslim name. In the context of your story, where Amina consults an oracle,
    this presents a cultural discrepancy since consulting oracles is not typically associated with Muslim practices.
    You could enhance your story's authenticity and historical accuracy by choosing traditional African names
    that predate the introduction of major religions like Islam and Christianity in Africa.
    This minor adjustment could make the story resonate more accurately with the rich and diverse African cultural heritage.
    I am looking forward to more of your excellent storytelling!

      Yes, I thought of the names too. Mbaka is Igbo and Amina in the same village? I figured the writer is not African. Your suggestion, if carried out, will give the story a measure of authenticity.
      More importantly, it explains why Western democracy, flawed with lies, deceptions and intrigues, is a problem in Africa. True leadership cannot be achieved by usurping power.

    This is true "Ubutu" the communal basis of African Culture of universal brotherhood or Community rather than personal wellbeing. I dropped on this story accidentally and became a captive victim to the very end of the narrative. All through, I was transfixed and transported through a supernatural world with age serving as an assert and not a liability. In Africa morals and ethical values are not Ai-generated, but inspired and driven by WISDOM (Elderliness).

    The story was supposed to be about African culture but sleeping with the whole village is alien to African culture. I don't think that there is any village in Africa that will relate to this story. The story seems to be derived from the life and story of Amina of Zazzau in the present day north-west Nigeria, but it ended up giving serious and disturbing distortions that will confuse people who want to learn something about Africa. Christians believe that Jesus was born by Mary to save the whole world. Imagine telling a story that Mary slept with the whole village before Jesus was born and then try to tell people that they should focus on Jesus saving the world. No matter the moral of the story or what you're trying to pass, the whole story should derive from the practices and give respect to the culture it's coming from. To the author: don't ever go to northern Nigeria to tell this story because they will consider it as an insult and disrespect

What she's talking about is something big and you can't even reach your mind around it. It's not about your personal low energy. We're not here for that, it's something big. We are spirit, you are not your body. She didn't sleep with the whole village. Yeah, I missed the whole point. You are not your body, she is spirit. She accomplished the mission. You know nothing about African culture. And I don't even care if you call yourself African. Because that's a Greek word. This continent been conquered and moved so many times the tree root of it is worth spirit. Stop acting like you're bad. That's true African knowledge or indigenous knowledge. Character Analysis: Amina
    Amina is a central character in the story, residing in a village where traditions are deeply rooted. Here are key aspects of her character:
    1. **Enchanting and Wise:** Described as enchanting, Amina possesses a captivating beauty. Her eyes are portrayed as "dark pools of wisdom," indicating a depth of insight and understanding beyond mere physical appearance.
    2. **Desire for Companionship:** Despite her charm and wisdom, Amina is portrayed as unmarried and experiencing solitude. Her desire for companionship and a husband drives the narrative.
    3. **Courageous and Resourceful:** Amina, faced with the unusual prophecy and the need to discover the true father of her child, takes bold and unconventional steps. She consults the Oracle, Nia, and devises a plan to ensure the best future ruler for her village.
    4. **Motherly Love:** Amina becomes a mother to Tariq, her newborn son. Her actions, including the pursuit of truth, are motivated by a deep love for her child and a commitment to his well-being.
    5. **Strategic Thinker:** Amina's plan involves sleeping with every eligible man in the village to ensure the best outcome for her people. This reflects a strategic and forward-thinking approach, albeit unconventional.
    6. **Commitment to Truth:** Despite the potential consequences, Amina is determined to uncover the truth about the paternity of her child. She seeks out the hermit Sage to perform a ritual that will reveal the true father.
    7. **Tactful:** Amina handles the revelation of the Moonstone's truth in a tactful manner. She proposes a new ritual to uncover the real father, showing her ability to navigate complex situations with a focus on unity and truth.
    8. **Agent of Change:** Amina's actions lead to significant changes in the village. She exposes deception, initiates a process to identify the true father, and contributes to the overall transformation of the community.
    Amina's character is intricately layered, revealing dimensions of lustful desires within the village milieu. As the story unfolds, she assumes a pivotal role, steering the course of her fervent aspirations with the support of an agreeable oracle, in accordance with her lustful wishes that involves the entire village.

      The last time I attended Greater Vision Christian Church in Killeen, Texas December 2023, I vividly recall the church celebrating a Deacon's 50th wedding anniversary. The Deacon shared with the pastor why he got married in the first place. "I married my wife very quickly because OTHER MEN WERE LOOKING AT HER ." She must have been a looker. Was Amina?

    First of all what a captivating imagery and story. Secondly, I love how African indigenous societies never demonised women who had babies without marriage 👏🏼👏🏼, Christianity has really wrecked havoc on us and ostracized so many women and children.

      @Covenant-gn5us 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Is this really true??

    • @RoseSchwinn
      @RoseSchwinn 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Covenant-gn5us very true. I live amongst the Samburu of Kenya, they still live in indigenous ways, and once girls go through the rites of passage to womanhood, they are free to explore their sexualities... marriage comes later. An indigenous Samburu Man marries a woman with or without children. Adoption of the woman's children is sealed by blood not by papers like in the western laws in kenya. But of course the modern schooling system is disrupting that freedom because they are now being labeled as teenage pregnancies and out of wedlock 🚮. There are westernised women going around in NGOs shaming the young women for being human (sexual) and telling them their future is doomed because they drop out of modern (colonial) schools. We have to understand how embracing Western patriarchal values is detrimental to our own wellbeing

    A very interesting story with multiple lessons. Major question is Amina's moral compass which, in truth, put the village at risk. Is this a story directed at young women who sleeps around to alert them of the far reaching consequences of the behaviour to the family structure?
    I agree with one comment to not fall into non productive stereotypical narratives about African women and ultimately African cultural values.
