Yeah, about that goal. . . (Around 4:00 mark for review) They explained it, that if Bjurkstrand shot the puck directly in, it would not have counted. But, "once Bjorkstrand makes a pass on this play, to Panarin" blah blah blah. Well guess what? He did NOT pass the puck to Panarin. He took a backhand shot at the net, and Panarin scored on the rebound. Not sure if that makes a difference or not, but if you can score a goal after the puck hits the safety net, then why not just let play continue all season long when it hits that netting. The officials blow it dead all year long! But a goal counts in the playoffs after going out of play. Incredible. . .
Refs were terrible. That puck hit the netting, Debrusk got slashed in the hands, and Bergeron got hooked. Bob shows weakness and the NHL has to help him out.

This is definitely the turning point of the series. Columbus will be lucky to win another game. Skill wise, they just aren't going to compete with Boston. They needed to stay in their heads by playing top notch D and Goaltending. Both failed tonight, especially the defense. At the end of the game the Bruins were using them as shooting practice.

How is it that an offsides that happens 5 min before a goal is scored with puck staying in offensive zone, being passed and shot all over the place before going in can be reviewed and corrected but a puck literally goes out of play but then because of one pass that makes that unreviewable????!!!!!! WHAT?????!!!!!!
As I said earlier, it was NOT passed to Panarin. Bjurkstrand took a backhand shot at the net and Panarin scored off the juicy rebound. It should not have counted, but it's typical for Bruins. . .

Good to see Backes back in the lineup. All series long the Blue Jackets have been throwing bodies and there's really nobody on the Bruins who is willing to hit and still has the skill to make plays. I'm not saying Backes is an all star, but he does enough in both categories. Imagine if we still had Boychuk. Or even someone like Shawn Thornton. The thought of having to drop gloves with one of those guys would be enough for the Blue Jackets to lay off on some hits. I think we have more skill than the Blue Jackets, by far. But all those hits take a toll and you could see it. Especially in Game 3 and 4. Bruins just looked tired and beat up. Luckily they still had enough skill to put in some goals and win Game 4.

Johansson getting interfered / cross checked down to the ice from behind right as a pass was heading his way on the PP was infuriating- clearly shoulda been 5 on 3 after that. They continue to let CBJ interfere and cross check all series, but marchands tiny little stick work after the period in game 2 somehow crossed the line? Which of course led to their tying PP goal and eventual OT winner... The refs continue to be absolutely garbage and are trying to hand this to Columbus. Bs are playing 2 teams out there, but clearly they can take em both at once! What a character win
@@willlenk862 I wouldn't go that far. There were calls they could've made on Boston too. Kuraly might have boarded Atkinson early in one of the Bruins' PKs for example. However the really egregious misses went the Blue Jackets' way. For starters, they GAVE them a goal. That goal only happened because no one knew where the puck was. The reason no one knew where it was was BECAUSE IT WAS OUT OF PLAY. All four officials missing that is really disappointing. And the league's ruling is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. The other really bad ones were Jenner blatantly interfering with Pastrnak twice along the side wall. The first one I guess you could explain away. But the second (happened at the same time as the Anderson penalty) was absurd. Pastrnak never had the puck. It was over by the boards, and instead of trying to go get it Jenner just swerved to his right and put a knee-on-knee hit on a guy who never had the puck. Don't know how they missed that one.

The biggest fix that the Bruins need is to stop with sloppy passes and or misses of the puck headed back towards their end while in the offensive zone, they keep sending the puck away towards Rask leading to way too many breakaways
Love how Kukan leaves his feet and jumps elbow first into Backes jaw but no outcry no yelling for a major and a suspension but McAvoy's hit which is very much able to be argued was going for Anderson's chest and or shoulder but happened to catch his jaw AFTER initial contact like he should have been arrested, BS!!
The picture perfect exhibition of a talentless, faceless team of nobodies playing over their heads, running people, playing “tough”, swinging their sticks and desperately holding off a future in the minors yet still failing. Teams like this can sneak through a round or two depending on their goalie and a few convenient “missed calls”, but they eventually find their true level and get embarrassed.
The same thing could be said for the team we played in the following round in Carolina! Granted clearly they have talent, as is evident by how they’ve played this year but in 2019 they simply overachieved....until they ran into Boston! It’s just a shame that we couldn’t finish the job once again, but I won’t go into that because it tends to be a divisive issue depending on how you look at it
